  1. Well written Eman. He left us in a horrible cap situation, and yes I know Cooter (Nix) start d this mess. I hope Whaley gets a position as a lead scout or in charge of scouting for the Steelers or another Team.
  2. Whaley just made it on NFLR as a regular I think yesterday or at least a fill in for the regulars. He was on the opening drive with Solomon Wilcots. As far as his previous GM experience, he did too much patchwork, vs. having a methodical plan like Beane. I don’t dislike the guy, but rather he is a pro personnel scouting kind of guy. Maybe the second time around he improves on his mistakes. Carroll improved the second go around from the Jets to eventually the Hawks. You could say the same about BB from Cleveland to NE. I know these are coaching examples, but you get the point. He seems like a much better fit than the other two.
  3. Or just Uber. Ridiculous. It’s not that they can’t Uber from one place to another.
  4. You mean a guy who can get us a bunch of personal fouls for 15 yards like JERRY did over and over again when he was young. pass. Not needed in this nfl. It’s more of a liability at this point. It’s not like Von Miller is a cream puff nor Milano. Poyer is a tough dude as well. We don’t need a cheap shot guy.
  5. Very well written. You summarized this clown up in a nutshell. Thanks and “what he says”. 😇
  6. We can’t logically find the $ to reasonably make the hard cap. It’s just not feasible. Sure, he would add to the team, but he wants too much and Beane already was quite aggressive in restructuring to find the $ for Miller and others. It’s said often, but this isn’t Madden. You can only push the can down the road so far. New Orleans just started to feel it from their recent decisions over the last five years.
  7. Even if Tre comes back in September, we still would value most on defense with a top flight CB. The thought of Tre, this pick, Hyde, Poyer, and Taron is daunting. With the upgraded front four with better run stuffers and penetrators, along with sideline to sideline LBs is awesome. That’s a blanket. A true #1 defense against this year the AFCN, NFCN (Packers), KC, and TN, and the Rams. Well, looking at the draft chart evolved from the Jimmy Johnson chart avg. our 25th pick is valued at 720 pts.. Beane won’t likely want to give away future picks as we’ll need cheap talent as to the ballooning contracts of our top guys so we are left with this years pts for our picks or players. I’m no guru to look at players and assess their value so I’m throwing that out. If people want to throw spaghetti on the wall and say Moss, Edmunds, or whoever, I wouldn’t know how to give an educated guess as to their value. From the article on potential trade partners, the most attractive is Philly at 15 and 17. I don’t think we have the juice to get to 5 or 7 with the Giants. So the 15th pick is worth 1050 pts. - 1050-720=330 needed The 17th pick is worth 950 pts. - 950-720=230 pts. Needed Well here are our picks values. Remember we’d love to keep our 2nd at least for a WR, G if at all possible. Bills Rounds 1- 720 2- 330 3- 145 4- 42 5- 22.6 6- 15.8 6- 8.6 7- 1 7- traded for Keenum For Buffalo math to make it close, we’d have to swap 1’s, and give away our 3rd, and 4th. Next years picks if we went that way are less valuable than this years. Would you don’t it, or what would you like do if Beane’s Apple of his eye at CB is there at 15th or 17th. This is just for fun as impossible to input all the variables and also what are the needs of you’re trade partner. The only way to get to the best CB would be to trade with the Giants at 5th or 7th if that stud is there. Schein is a friend, but shrewd. My guess is we’d have to give Edmunds, and Moss, and swap 1sts, and other picks. Is that worth it? I do this every year, and everyone dissects this message. I’m not right, just it’s important you look up the draft chart and make suggestions on what is truly feasible, not just what’s good for us, and not pie in the sky. Or maybe you just think a role guy and don’t care about another stud CB.
  8. The Pegulas should invite Daddy Miller (IDK if still married so wife too) to their suite for the home opener. Something to recognize how special and appreciative we are for his sentiments. Maybe one of those pregame interviews on the CBS as it would go over so well nationwide. It would also reaffirm Buffalo is a destination city now.
  9. Inigo, I luv ya my six fingered friend. I’ll take that bet we hit a minimum of 12. We improved and some others slid or stayed even. The draft will be telling, and so will injuries of course, but we’re a better team than we were in the 21 season. Betting on 12 is safe for me, very conservative is 11, and aggressive is 13. No on wins them all, but we expect each week to win. As a couple people wrote, Hill is no longer in KC, and that hurts them more then helps Miami given the QB’s. No Davonte Adams for GB will at least modestly affect Rodgers. We can split the tough teams you identified, and away is not a big deal for this team. Heck Allen see,s to play better away for two years. Thanks for the links. Good stuff.
  10. Couldn’t agree more. Just when the Fins think they are improving, they swap one asset for another. Bill in, Parker out. Pats can only do so much. The overriding premise here is Tua and Mac Jones are no SUPER JA17.
  11. I’m 54 and I have seen the good and the bad. I’m not as old as some of the old timers and we know who that saw the 60’s Bills, but I’m loving the ride. it’s not an instant gratification thing, but a sincere desire for the promised land. It takes patience, and we are so close. We have a decade or more of Allen, and I believe the Pegulas have sincere trust in McBeane. They will support those two and if you’re GM, HC, and WB are in place, we’ll get there. It might even be this year. Patience Danyasan as the great Miyagi says.
  12. Jerry, a class act was poignant in his finality in acceptance. He was a heck of a player for us, and he knows deep down he was losing a step. He made up for his declining speed with a wealth of knowledge knowing how to outsmart those young LT’s. I appreciate his years here and sincerely hope he retires with grace. If so, he should be honored at halftime of the September home games. Hell be missed and I think he’s earned the right to address the team before a game. I can easily see him coming for a couple of days in camp working with the newer DE’s, in Rousseau, Basham, and Epenesa. Thank you Jerry for you’re decade in Buffalo.
  13. I was thinking the same thing. Loved Clements back in the day. He’d get ejected and fined a billion dollars in 2022 NFL.
  14. It’s premature to ascend Stevenson to some next breakout star. I still think we will pick a WR in round 2. I’m guessing this rumor of trading up is for a CB. In September Tre has a good chance won’t be ready in September with his rehab, which means a 1st RD, 1st day starter along with Dr Poyer and Mr Hyde, and Taron is what is needed. Makes it more palatable for Dane on the other side. Once Tre is back in full force we will have run stopping DT’s, penetrating DE’s and a penetrating DT in Oliver, and sideline to sideline LB’s. Match that with a top notch secondary against a more competitive couple of divisions this year and we have a first rate defense. Couple that with an already explosive offense with one of the top 3 QB’s in the league, and there is room for excitement. 2022 draft should be fun.
  15. That’s just not true. Arians was a good and beloved coach by hi s players. He said when he took the job that he intended to coach a couple of years, assemble an experience group of coaches and move into doing what he did. he announced his retirement right after the owners meeting. At his age, coronary history, history of cancer, can you really blame him?
  16. Cat, it was all over NFLR today. Congress is really ratcheting up this investigation. Snyder is walking on dangerous ground with the Feds and Congress. If they find. A smoking gun with cooking the books, is going to result in the league owners pushing him out.
  17. Good for him. A good contract for a guy getting a little older. He’s still playing well.
  18. It’s just politics grandstanding. You know when a politician is lying right, his mouth is moving.. badada..
  19. It’s not about the announcers for me. As much as I prefer to listen the Sirius Buffalo broadcasters, they are always on a five minute delay. I mainly listen to those guys during tv breaks.
  20. With Tre out potentially the first month of the season, they aren’t getting rid of one of the best nickel corners in the league. Edmunds, Moss maybe, or maybe a couple of our backups like our backups at safety. We don’t know. We also have 9 picks and don’t need them all. Zig’s pretty good on NFLR. There could be smoke there.
  21. Thurmon I luv ya bud, but hell no on Guard. Maybe in the third. As a Tackle, Spencer Brown was great at right tackle on the third. im still a fan of either CB/WR with the first two picks. Probably a G in the third, some depth guy and a punter in the 7th.
  22. I don’t think a big deal as he’s our 3rd, and Keenum will be the primary backup.
