  1. My spec. is that simply trying to let her voters know the threat was real and make the $850 mil. More palatable. Who knows how serious San Diego was when they wouldn’t fork up the $ for a newer Chargers stadium. It went to a refendum (like everything on the left coast)
  2. Damj, the problem is the value on draft charts values has a 7th at 1 pt. and maybe 2 for a 6th so there really don’t have hardly any value at all.
  3. Transplant, agreed on you’re take. I was hopeful when drafted and thought he might act like more of a battering ram to Motor’s wiggle. He looked to regress in year 2, and Singletary improved late in the year. I still see Beane going after in no particular order a CB, WR, G, a punter in the 7th, and try for a steal mid rounds for a RB. Whenever I think we’ll never get a lock at RB, I have to remind myself Diggs, and Milano were taken in the 5th. Both have outplayed their rookie draft status, and who’s say Beane may swing and hit this time. I’d never pay big $ for a free agent, and most teams these days don’t even typically extend a lot of RBs. We definitely would benefit from another RB in the room as Gilliam is really a FB/hybrid TE.
  4. We’ll he’s losing options at this point. NO, Carolina, and Seattle. Carolina has almost $31 mil., NO has about $25. Seattle has $15 mil. If they don’t like any draft picks, they could inherit the $18 mil, owes BM. I don’t see anyone at this point giving away any high draft picks for him this year. He’s still good enough to play as an avg. NFL QB. Next years draft is supposed to be much better at QB. It’s all spec. At this point.
  5. We’ll he’s losing options at this point. NO, Carolina, and maybe Seattle. They haven’t traded for him yet so it’s a safe bet he won’t get traded until after the draft if at all. He was really banged up and may have hurt himself as if he pulled out mid year, his stock would probably be higher now. I meant to add per Spotrac Carolina has $30.8 mil., NO has $20.5 mil.,and Seattle has $15.6 mil. As of today Cleveland I thought owes BM $18.8 mil, and they have $19.6 available pre Watson contract. Its just a matter of whether any of these three teams see him as that much of an upgrade over what’s on their roster. Also, do they see any value in if the top. Draft prospects. This draft is pretty weak at QB. Next year is much better so they may want to rent Mayfield for a year, and then draft a much better class next year.
  6. I’d agree Care is similar in some ways to Cousins. Middle of the road QB. Not great, not bad, just there.
  7. So lime, are you saying Snyder sleeps with the fishes (old Sicilian message). 🤩 Where’s Tessio when you need him?
  8. I know someone projected a three month rehab. I’m not sure on a sports hernia in the groin, but I had an indirect inguidinal hernia when I was a competitive Powerlifter. I had to take a lot longer than three months to completely heal, and the scar tissue killed when I put on a power belt. I was only 26 at the time and was in excellent shape (then). The difference is a sports hernia is a soft tissue issue whereas my hernia was a separation in the wall of the muscles where my intestines were pushing through the space. They probably can do a laparoscopic mesh repair. They now even have a mesh with anesthetic in it to reduce opioid use. They eventually heal so he probably would only be able to do the meetings and rehab until camp. If he was there at 25, I’d take the risk. It’s not like an ACL or Achilles tear.
  9. The more we talk this out, there is a chance they like a couple of guys, and maybe they can get to 10-20 in the pick status. I know it’s a lot to give up, but we have a pretty complete offense as in the past we did a lot of 3-5 WR sets, but this was primarily 10 or 11 personnel. This year we have an excellent 12 personnel grouping. Or even 22 personnel with using Knox, Howard, Motor, and Gilliam in as a blocker. That’s a heavy set made for pounding people not to mention Allen will never completely give up running himself.
  10. We’ll supposedly this is a deep draft for WR and DE’s. We don’t really need an End at this point, and you can make the argument to take a mid round WR’s. IMHO, CB if taken high enough could be a year 1 starter. Of the six mentioned above Gardner has experience and talent as a zone CB. That places a nice blanket on the backend. We’ve already improved significantly on the front end.
  11. It’s true he was bad at first, but improved with each game. As I mentioned I’m like warm on Edmunds. We only have so much space and he’s going to be a $14 mil. Asset. We’ve already invested heavily defense. We need a CB and is really the only starting hole we have on defense.
  12. I’m a little surprised that high, but they need a QB. They weren’t going to draft one. He’s serviceable, but not worth that much. With their acquisitions this off season, they probably want continuity at QB.
  13. Interesting take. Howard should have a good year. Agreed on Epenesa and Haack. I’d lay $ we pick a punter in the 7th. Howard will also give Knox more playing time. I’m not sure Tre is descending. He had a significant injury. He may look like he’s descending, because so many teams throw opposite of him at Wallace.
  14. CB up to top 10. I’m consistent that I love the Syracuse article that was on another thread. They swap 1’s, give away this years 3rd, and next year’s 1st. It’s worth it to me. The only other scenario would be keep the third, and give Edmunds to the Giants. Some people mentioned last year Klein filled in pretty well when Edmunds was out after that first game. I know we let Klein go, but I don’t if anyone has signed him yet, and we are thin at the cap. Cheap labor in a ILB on the second or third is palatable as well. My hope is we go after Gardner or one of the other blue chip corners, then find a WR somewhere in the draft, and a G.
  15. Greg, I honestly don’t remember that game. I just barely remember my older brother and dad were going nuts watching the win in 80. It’s when I became serious about following the Bills. When I moved in 91 to Tampa just out of college, my dad worked in advertising for the BN. Now for the youngins, this was pre internet if you can believe it. I had worked at the BN from 87-90 as my college job. My dad knew how important that team was to me so he placed the Buffalo News extra that used to come out on Mondays after the game. It was like a magazine inside the paper, and had to so of articles on every aspect of the game. My dad would place in a canister every Monday afternoon the magazine in a canister and overnight it to me. I looked so forward to Tuesdays after work and the gym to read every article. That was my Bills story, when I became a Bills addict.
  16. Good list Hondo, but would add or substitute the 1980 September Miami game in Buffalo. 10 years and 20 losses ended. Some on the board may not be old enough to remember, but was so important to my family. To this day, my 91 yr. Old father still hates the Fins.
  17. Stampede, on Audacy, Marino came on at 8:05 if that helps. I didn’t listen earlier, so not sure if this was an ongoing g topic this morning. Marino was on for around 20 minutes, but discussed a bunch of topics regarding the draft.
  18. Agreed on Edmunds, but I’m guessing they will off a two year extension to Poyer. He anchors the center of the field. Not sure why he’s whining. He’s set to make I believe 10 or 11 mil. This year.
  19. It’s funny you bring this up as it was just on WGR the discussion of Hill. They were discussing with Joe Marino Kiper’s latest mock.
  20. Singletary had a strong finish last year, and they improved their running offense with Saffold joining the team. Last year prior to 2021, Settle was rated the second best run stuffing DT per PFF, but he was overlooked in Washington given their other studs. I think you’re right on Moss. He and Ford are probably going away by the end of camp.
  21. Not my point PTR, just relaying Sal’s point on WGR. I agree I’d rather have an accurate spot, but you know the league. They take forever to change.
  22. I was listening to Sal the other day, and he brought up a good point. The NFL has the capability to do the chip thing, but the league likes the drama of the spot, and thus are resistant to the change. I thought it was an interesting point.
  23. Allen will make it to the playoffs again this year which will be the fourth year in a row. These guys just try to make sound bites.
  24. Ascending: Oliver, he’ll shine next to Settle and the new crew. Descending: Edmunds. Some like him and some don’t. I’m mediocre on him. Breakout: Knox- I think having Howard here will allow Knox to be in 12 personnel more and with more touches, means more yards and TD’s. Packing: Agreed on Ford. He doesn’t make it through camp.
  25. Since these are just guesses, mine is Oliver eventually gets extended, and they move on from Edmunds in a year.
