  1. That human Twinkie won’t make the team.
  2. mom hopeful you’re speaking sarcastically. You do know the schedule is set by after AFCE, it’s every three years another AFC division, and the same NFC division every four years. Then the same seeded team from the the other two divisions which this year is TN and KC. Lastly now an alternating NFC commensurate team since a 17 game season. How is the NFL bottling up when we play the AFCE, AFCN, NFCN, the teams I mentioned above , and the NFC team is the Rams this year. Its predetermined. Most of these teams are close to us or within one time zone. My opinion is I love it, and our guys will have less long distance travel, no international games, and last I checked the tv networks get to lobby who is on national games. How far they travel has absolutely no bearing. I fully expect once the schedule comes out there will be a good chance for 4pm games which is one hair away from the night games on any of the away NFCC games and Rams. I can see some national exposure for chances on GB, KC, Pats, TN, Fins, Cincy, Baltimore, and even the Browns. That is more than enough exposure for a percentage of them with the team that is ranked the highest to win the SB. So again I hope you’re kidding or you really don’t know how the schedule works.
  3. Doc, I’m just teasing you as Jets fan boards is a waste of time. To me at least. I’m busy enough to even get on this board at times.
  4. Cleveland created their own mess, by doing a terrible deal with a possible serial sexual abuser, overpaid him a ton just to make sure they beat out their competition, and have an $18.8 mil. hit coming in Mayfield. The league is ticked at Cleveland, and then there are questions as to how healthy will Mayfield be in September as he was a mess last year. Then you have his attitude at least what is perceived from the public. Bottom line is Cleveland wants another team to eat part or all of that $1&.8 mil. and get what I guess is a 4th RD. pick. The draft is over and still no deals from Carolina, Seattle or even ATL. At some point Cleveland will or has already offered to absorb the cap hit and just wants a 4th. The next logical colllision is Cleveland cuts him as they are not keeping him around for weeks 1-6 while Watson will most likely get the same suspension as Big Ben. There is no way Cleveland is keeping BM around. The next interesting part is who once he’s cleared to go to any team will want him at a modest salary.
  5. You’re first mistake is going to a Jets fan board. Those tools are a pain. I don’t dislike the team, I actually pity the decent fans, but between Pats and Jests fans, there are better bases. The Pats are almost worse as they are delusional their team will ever be what it was with Brady.
  6. Even though Basham started a lot of games in college, it doesn’t mean he was pro ready as these guy take development. GROOT, is young flashed and growing. My guess is Rousseau will steadily improve and has the raw skills to get better. No one knows how Basham is practicing as he never plays so it’s an assumption mediocre if he can’t see the field with continuity. Epenesa started out well finally last year against the Fins, but that’s it. Probably a bust, or just a serial backup. It was a very fair comment from the executive regarding Beane’s choices, but also shrewd he found the $ and picked up Von.
  7. Predicting the schedule are just wag’s, but if had to bet when it comes out this Thursday, I wouldn’t be surprised with the following. We get the Sunday Night football game for week 1 and it’s against the Chiefs or the Pats. Personally, I’d love for our home game against the Pats in week 1 as I’ve had enough of 50 mph wind games.
  8. I loved the pick, but wouldn’t call taking one of the best pass catching RB options in the draft going to a team in the 2nd RD. Sneaky. Since most RB’s don’t get called in the 1st RD anymore it was a good pick at the right place in a need or desired area. Beane showed his hand on the Washington debacle what he wanted other than CB the most.
  9. I don’t think Beane or McD and every GM and HC in the league gets angry comments. It’s surprising Syracuse thought this was newsworthy.
  10. I don’t understand the question. I understand this is you’re first thread, but do you not know what is the role of a QB Coach? Do you need help on NFL 101 on every QB Coach in the entire league. He has lots of experience with Carolina, New Orleans, and a too SEC program in LSU. Whats you’re real question as you make no sense. Are you questioning his qualifications or what is the role as there are a lot of NFL audiobooks on what coaches do in this league.
  11. No argument Roy. Very fair comments, not that you need my affirmations.
  12. Arabization can be trained to hold. They will never take Haack over him. Crowder is bubbled after the draft. Very possible he can make the team, but we normally hold onto 6-7. It’s still accurate the likelihood beyond Haack, Ford is a likely casualty. They’ve had enough time to evaluate and he never improved. I can see Beane cutting his losses. They will give Epenesa another year for depth on the line.
  13. The tuck rule incident was not cheating. The Cheats caught an unbelievable break from the refs. Second, he’s been a lot different since in Tampa (my home for the second half of my life). He’s good to people when he sees them out, just regular strangers to him. I know you guys hate him, but it’s like a jilted boyfriend just because he kicked our arses for twenty years. Nothing would make me happier than if we beat the Bucs in the comeback last year, and have the Bucs lose at the hands of Allen and company this year on the SB. It would be poetic. He is nauseating with all the publicity he gets with his pod show on Sirius, etc. I’ll give you that one as I get sick of reading and hearing him. He also was trying to make a ploy to get to Miami, but Tampa stood their ground so he relented. We will face him next year in Miami as Ross will do anything to get him. It would be again poetic justice to sweep the dolphins next year with him at the helm and Von sacking him three times along with GROOT batting down two of his balls for a fumble pick six. So I don’t hate the guy, and if anything he exposes that BB is a losing coach without him. Sal tabulated it out 71-79 including his Cleveland days. That is the sweet revenge factor and I hope we sweep the Cheats again the next three years until BB retires as he won’t coach forever.
  14. The teams that still want to add a QB are simply waiting for Cleveland to cut him. I do agree with some who mentioned other teams are not interested in playing ball with a team that significantly overpaid for Watson as it sets a precedent other teams have to deal with in their own future negotiations with top QB’s. Teams like Seattle and Carolina can simply wait and let Cleveland eat the $18.8 mil. they are currently on the hook for in 2022. They can then make a low ball offer for a guy still recuperating from multiple injuries.
  15. You mean like whackamole like every other veteran who some knucklehead writes, let’s a take a look. Good with a medical so we know for the future if an injury, but that’s all.
  16. Noggin, it’s kind of a balance. They see what they didn’t do in FA, then identify different positions, then look at their board and get the BPA for those identified positions. At least in the 1st through 3rd rounds. Then I think they get much more liberal with BPA. it’s not an accident, we needed a 2nd CB as the top need, and 2nd was a RB, then WR. The surprise and not an accident was a small LB in the 3rd. They did though get a WR by many identified is a 4th at worst WR in the 5th. Then the cherry on top is another WR and a Punter. No accident at all. Just like the last 2 years DE towards the top. He keeps swinging until he hits.
  17. After having a great FA, and now we think draft, we’re fine. Just another thread of being this guy in for a look. I’m fine for a look as they do that to do the medical and when there is an injury, they know whether they want to call in advance as contrary to some dingbats, Beane was GM of the year a year ago. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins again one of these days.
  18. Agreed Noggin. It just screams of an Edmunds suck conversion of this thread. Back on topic, Bernard has the speed to be like a Big Nickel or Big Safety package and on special teams. He’ll be in there for fine package defenses against run heavy or TE heavy defenses. As far as drafting as well as FA acquisitions, Beane has been fine. Hell he was GM of the year last year. I’ve made this comment before, but the HOF GM stars multiple times on Late Hits on NFLR, that his lifetime drafting success was 57%. He said to think a GM will hit on almost all GM’s and not miss 40% is foolish. Allen was a hit, Knox is turning into an excellent TE, Oliver has come on strong in the last couple of years, and so on.
  19. We’re tight on cash, we just used a 1st RD draft pick and we have depth once Tre returns. Dane is our depth. Elam will most likely start along with Tre. That’s a heck of a backfield when you Taron, Dr. Poyer and Mr. Hyde. We don’t need to go after an expensive veteran. We need some $ for signing draft picks and UDFA’s, and we need emergency $ for injuries this season. That’s inevitable for at least one replacement in season.
  20. Ford will probably be gone. Epenesa, and Moss are cheap labor so they should stay. Edmunds and Poyer are valuable in the eyes of McBeane.
  21. I agree Mr. Miyagi. I don’t know if we will maybe make a run at the 30+ market, but they cost a lot even at the minimum. I think we travel through camp, and if we have a key piece injured, then maybe they do a 180. It is a hard cap, and although they can convert more signing bonuses from salary, I think Beane already went pretty far. We had a very good draft with good value.
  22. I thought Feliciano was going to be better, but when he lost weight, he just didn’t look the same. Neuther loss surprised me. Saffold may be getting older, but he is still a solid run blocking G. For those saying O Line is an issue, Beane has worked on it every year since he came to Buffalo.
  23. Dude, No! That’s a mid February conversation, not the day after the draft. That’s ridiculous. Who knows if someone gets hurt, how our guys perform, etc. until last year we were considering another TE, and then Knox flourished. Dont be silly. I know it’s over and want to keep talking about it, but it’s over brother. We can talk after the SB. Then it FA time, then draft time. I’ll agree from now until July it’s dead time.
