  1. Ed, yes, to answer shortly. This is why when I’m a long plane ride as you’re describing, you never sit still in you’re seat for a 10-15 hr. Ride. You get up and move around. You go to the bathroom or even walk to back of the plane and back. Movement keeps clots from forming in the leg. It’s basically deep vein thrombosis. If the clot migrates north, it can dangerously move to the lungs which is pulmonary thrombosis, or to the brain and called a Hemorrhagic Stroke. I spent a couple of years supporting carotid stent cases which is for non carotid endartectomies. Vascular surgeons, do the endartectomies, whereas stents are done by the following specialties, IR’s, NIR’s (the brain guys), IC’s, and Vascular Surgeons. It’s a fun case to support. They actually don’t take that long. So Ed, if you’re ever on a long ars plane ride, move around. We adopted my daughter from China, so that was a fun 18 hr ride from San Fran to Hong Kong. That was after a 1 hr. Ride from Tampa to Atlanta, and a 6 hr. Ride from ATL, to San Fran. It was worth it as my daughter is my Princess Mulan.
  2. I wouldn’t speculate as it could be just about anything. She’s too young most likely to stroke. There are two kinds of stroke. Ischemic and Hemorrhagic. The first is from plaque in the arteries and usually smokers and diabetics. They are also typically pretty old and Kim is in her mid 50’s. Hemorrhagic is as you’d guess from blood clots. That’s possible, but unlikely unless she was maybe in a car accident and the clot formed in her leg and then migrated to the brain. Basically there are so many reasons people are hospitalized. She most likely has the best medical care and probably has a home health nurse visiting her each day. Im just glad she’s doing well and wish her a speedy recovery.
  3. Its been awhile, but the site line on the 100’s is not as good as the 200 level. You can see the field better, but are still close to the field. I’ve been to mid November games and they can be very windy. Have fun. I might be flying up from Tampa for the Steelers game.
  4. Vic stated as much that Ralph had a tough choice to either fire Polian or Littman. He chose Littman, his money guy. It was a bad mistake. The team went downhill from there.
  5. I’ve listened to the guys who ran the HOF and they would constantly say when this topic comes up, the Hall is for what they do on the field, not off the field. I see the Wall as the same so for me OJ Is one of the best Bills ever. Yes, there’s no argument he’s a horrible human being post career. But on the field, he was one of the best RB’s to ever play the game. People should be on the Wall who were great players.
  6. If you want a good fish fry which is a staple on Friday nights during lent at least, Hoak’s. It’s right across the street from my alma mater, St. Francis HS. Alma mater to Chris Polian, Tom Telesco, Dave Caldwell, and Coach Daboll. Maybe the priest will let you walk the tunnel. There is really a tunnel between the two buildings as it was so darn cold in the winters off the Lake.
  7. For you Ridgeman. I’m a doctor not an escalator.
  8. Thats funny. Dennis is a close family friend. We had my Dad’s 90th birthday there. I still remember after our bowling season (yeah not much to do in Blasdell) we’d go there for a celebration lunch. I went to OMGC before St. Francis of course, and Ilio would shake five elementary school boys hands at once and pinky would touch his thumb. That was one large man. A nice one too. Good pasta 619. You can look at Georgia’s George pics and so on.
  9. Even the name Jim Ringo sounds tough. I vaguely remember that day. I was I think 4 and my dad and brother were going nuts screaming when the Jiluice broke the record. I looked it up and that was the most yards per game in a season ever as only 14 games. No one’s even come close to OJ. Horrible person, but the best RB ever.
  10. Best actor ever. I .. just… need a five… second …pause. Ridge dammit I’m a doctor not a mechanic. Why you green blooded hobgoblin.
  11. This was a fun game. Who knew we would’ve seen a drought then for another 14 years.
  12. Zero, I like you as an unapologetic KC fan. All good, but why? My dad is 92 and still kicking. If you don’t know a close friend of Van Miller and Mr. Felser. My dad worked the Buffalo News for 44 years and so do I on college in 87-90. We’ve been fans since Lookie here comes cookie, Kemp, Fergie, OJ, the electric company, and so on. we didn’t become fans when Kelly came! We were here all along. You KC GUYS IF YOH WANT TO PICK IN A TEAM SUCJEF AFYER SEASON 4 and we’re Absent until Montana. show respect of you’re coming to another board. I respect you’re team. I think you’ll be in it even without hill. Do t crap on our brother. Otherwise just go away.
  13. Memories, like the corners of my mind. I graduated from college that year. I was always so excited for a Kelly/Marino game. Younger guys think of epic battles of Brady/Manning, but this was the real rivalry. You can’t really say that of Elway, Montana, etc. like Kelly/Marino. They were epic games.
  14. Good ideas, but back on the day Eckels, in OP was better for beef on Weck. Schwab else was like white bread 30 years ago. Letchworth with that 3000ft. Gorge was fantastic. I also am particular to Chestnut Ridge in the Southtowns. If going to the Falls, Maid if the Mist is great, but Cave of the winds with clothes that dry is even better. 619, on the American side, you can walk underneath some of the Falls. You’ll be soaking wet, but it’s worth it. Have a great time bud and put up some pics when you get back. You know the crew would love it. I might be up for the Steelers game.
  15. I hear you Thurm. It’s unfortunate, but RB’s have become a commodity because they break down. Maybe a two year cheap extension, but that’s it. Just IMO.
  16. Part of me feels bad for Devin, but we aren’t paying him on a second contract, nor Zack. Cook might as he’s unique, and keep drafting workhorses. If we use Cook the right way, he won’t get burned out and can extend maybe him. He’s a hybrid.
  17. Yep. I can’t remember who flamed me when I stated CMC was not worth the price. There’s no doubt when healthy, IMO he is the best and most dynamic RB in the NFL, but a guy used that much breaks down. Henry will break down as well in time. Muscles grow, not ligaments and tendons. If cold hearted GM’s and Coaches want to run a back into the ground and get another, ok. That means though you keep drafting one like we’ve done for the last three years. Linemen, QB’s, TE’s, DB’s can be groomed.
  18. He’s always hurt. He and Zeke are the reasons you never draft with you’re 1st pick a RB. Cook I think will be worth it in the 2nd, and doubt we will draft that high again. The strategy was sound. We all have ideas on who will be the picks next year, but I guess we can wait til March. Hopefully with the 32nd pick.
  19. Dognuts (affectionately my friend), you have to stop watching this crap. It’s a lesson in masochism. I enjoy WGR, NFLR, and GMFB. Not always, but more times than not. I’ve given up on the other shows. Skip Clueless? Cmon Donuts, you know better bud. I appreciate you sharing though.
  20. I see Ford as out. The other two are deep cheap labor. They’ll be pushed this year, but I can see them here this year. It wouldn’t bother me if all three are gone, just their salaries makes it easy to keep them.
  21. Just having fun “Enter the Dragon”. He really was unique. I always enjoy you’re posts bud. You put thought into the threads you start. You are definitely Bills Mafia!
  22. The 619er, I’m just relaying the message the guys purported what is most likely and they have been right more than wrong. They stated, not me, that a new deal will come with the next CBA, and I believe that is 2032. They stated the most likely scenario is we get an 18th game with two byes with that negotiation. You read the other stuff on reducing preseason, etc. good to hear from you too. I was in witness protection for awhile with work.
