  1. This was so much of a big “so what”. They’ve been dropping like flies all week. Basically this was a debate over the last Million $ of a contract. Most rookies signed with 85-90% guaranteed. So many people became wrapped around the. Axle this week, and it is resolving itself prior to the start of camp.
  2. I’ve been clamoring for months Moore is the dark horse this year. He ran a 4.35 40 at his combine, been getting the ball thrown to him by the worst QB’s in the NFL with 5e likes of Zack Wilson, a chewed up Deshaun Watson, and so on. Who’s the guy that released the most out of Cole Beasley, Hollins, Brown, and so on. Oh yeah, that would be JA17. Moore can run the complete route tree, and will be good for Coleman. I expect the first four weeks they will have Coleman always on the field, but slowly Moore will get more time, and once Josh sees what he can do, he’ll start to breakout as our go to WR. I can see a growing role for Palmer throughout the season. As Deniro said to Hendry in Goodfellas….
  3. Good point. I remember if we made it too late, we could always park in the lot that was next to Hammers, and just walk over. If memory serves they did allow campers, but would charge twice as much.
  4. It was a calculated risk Beane took, and understand he was committed to trying to win a SB. Injuries as Miyagi-San indicates it was just bad luck for 1.5 years due to injuries. Outside of his suspension. He played well last year. It was time to move on from him, and appreciate the gamble Beane took on Bosa. He could be a gem, or at the least another gamble on a possible winner. If not, well, we didn’t have enough $ for anyone else. We could never compete with Cleveland or Vegas for Garrett or Mad Max.
  5. Guys, I know people don’t respect flag football, but it is a different sport than tackle. I played tackle ball, and wrestled, and Powerlifted, but respect the skills it takes and athleticism of professional flag football players. I coached my boys for years, and although they both played tackle as well, they loved flag. The deception, speed, strategy, etc. was fun for them. With tackle they were able to legally hit people so had the best of both worlds. My boys played in an ultra competitive league where coaches would film tough upcoming opponents, cherry pick talent as these coaches knew what good looked like. So I respect what those young men accomplished. I love hitting g and taking down people as much as the next guy, but to be an excellent flag player, you have to be quick, great hands, athletic, fast twitch, and elusive.
  6. One other thing. The restaurant called Mothers around the block from McDivots has one of the two Owners from Buffalo, so they have Beef on Weck and is even better. It’s not cheap, but they use prime rib vs. roast beef. If you ask for it Buffalostyle, they will put horseradish and dill pickles on it on a genuine kimewaerck roll. i understand. I would say it’s worth it once a year. Load up and freeze it. Us past Buffalonians need to stick together. I was in Brandon for one year, and loved going to O'Brien's for the game. Talk about a Buffalo bar.
  7. T&C, thanks bud as I didn’t know that point. If you’re ever in the Tampa area, the original family owners of Blasdell Pizza daughter of Harry, opened a traditional recipe of Blasdell pizza, wings, etc. opened in Palm Harbor. It tastes like the old Blasdell before they were bought by someone else. They import the ingredients from Buffalo, including the original sauce and pepperoni.
  8. For the gang,Hammers first is on this board, and sparingly posts. He’s a good guy. It is first come first serve so on a 1pm game, you’d better arrive by8:30am at the very latest. I don’t know the answer to an RV, but Shaw, he likes when people place a piece of paper or cardboard, TBD, as he tries to find space and his lot is smaller now since construction of the new stadium. My advice is reach out on this board as a DM, so he doesn’t feel put on the spot. I have no idea how early you have to learn when to show up for a 4pm game. Shaw, tell your friend to get there early or even go to the Big Tee and grab some wings. I’m they'll love it. You can tell them the Kelly Bills were there all the time. I saw Jimbo, Thurmon, and Reed more times than I can count in my early 20’s. They are a WNY staple.
  9. that’s my other favorite marvism. I think I need to say that to my workout buddy. He won’t get the reference until I show him. I know Marv was too loose on the team, but still love the guy, and his intellect.
  10. Now that’s a funny Gregg. Personally, as several of you know I live in Tampa the last 35 years, but was born and raised in Hamburg. For me, there is a restaurant in Westchase, a suburb of Tampa, and McDivots wings reminds me of home. So my wife and I will have some garlic hot wings, and a couple of pops. Yes, I still say pop. People from here who know me have asked of I’m from Chicago, and I always respond with no, the real pop land, Buffalo.
  11. Josh by double has the most consecutive starts including the playoffs at 114. Jared Goof is the next one down in the low 50’s. I’m so sick of the “the way Allen plays will get him hurt”. It’s utter BS. The most important quality is availability, not ability. Josh is the best QB in the NFL, and in 10 years will be an all time great and again in another 10 years a first ballot HOF. I look forward to some day, that day. God love JA17.
  12. MJS, Pat Kirwan the previous executive and coach stated it’s a common occurrence, but they kept it away from the media to respect the rookie’s privacy. He additionally mentioned a weak front office or HC would buckle. His point was to prove a rookie that hes now a professional athlete and must act in accordance with their standard. He did NOT indicate anything about a Bills player. Im not calling the sky is falling as i hate the chicken little examples every once in awhile. My point is it was just too coincidental the next day Jackson goes on pup and never had a report during voluntary or mandatory mini camps any even slight i jury. The league mandates reporting these injuries. i don’t think it s a big deal. Maybe he just let himself go a little in the dead month. Maybe not. Im not indicting him, just stating it makes sense. This is why im not worried about it at all. Its not easy to run for example 15 gassers and have to maintain a certain time.
  13. It sounds like he didn't make the qualifiers rookies are required to do when they enter the week before the vets. As mentioned in another thread, the MTC guys, specifically Pat Kirwan who was the assistant GM for the Jets among other coaching and front office duties for 25-30 years. He mentioned it’s not uncommon when they didn't come in, he would immediately place a player on PUP until he passes the qualifiers. Additionally, he mentioned it’s a huge mistake for front offices and coaches go soft and allow them to practice. It sends a message the rules doesn’t matter. I agree. So bottom line is Jackson, get moving. If Im wrong and those insiders are wrong, I'll stand corrected, but it makes too much sense.
  14. I was listening to. Movin the Chains yesterday, and Pat and Jim believe he’ll get $1 mil. More than Gardner so basically $33.5 mil / yr. For four years. The MTC guys have been pretty accurate to date.
  15. They just went from the Chargers to the urinals. Going from one of the nicer unis to basically one of the ugliest.
  16. Without a franchise QB, that was a high price to pay. If he was playing for Burrow, Lamar, JA, or Mahomes, I’d understand completely as he is a difference maker, but to Jags is foolish.
  17. I’m fine with Mahomes being #1. It’s true he doesn’t look all world the last two years, but at least Allen was a strong #2. The others are all appropriate to be in the top 10. We can debate how they ranked, but the right 10 guys are on the list. I would’ve placed 1 slot higher, but that’s squabbling. and to some extent petty. I’ve watched every Bucs game for the last 30 years, and he saved Tampa from mediocrity. You know just like Allen is so Buffalo, Baker is the same for Tampa. He’s fiery which balances out Bowles demeanor. Bowles as a side note is actually pretty funny as I’ve seen so many interviews with him. The bottom line is there is a tier at the top and Until Mahomes is far away from his SB rings, he’ll still be at the top along with JA, Joe Cool, and Lamar.
  18. I certainly hope this child is ok. I understand all too well how scary these things can be as we had a nightmare with Ryan, my middle son who is now healthy as a horse, but was born at 2 lbs. 4oz. At 28 weeks. Needless to say it’s fine, but the first two months I was scared every minute of everyday.
  19. Agreed, but they do a nice job of making you feel like you’re there. I think all of us are not only looking to the last game we may see this year from Rich Stadium, but our 1st game in the new stadium. My boys and I go to a game each year preferably when there is a 1pm game in September. We’re not interested in New Orleans, so it’s a debate amongst us between Tampa or KC. It will be appreciably colder and windy, but they should at least see one game in the elements. They said they can handle it,but we’ll see. They are born and raised in Tampa, one wants the Bucs, and the other wants the Chiefs. I told them I’m only flying up for one game. Anyway, OP, thank you as always for sharing cool videos like this one. I’m not an X person, so appreciate when you guys see something cool about the Bills and share it. Again, a sincere thank you.
  20. I know Ethan that was funny as I was listening to the morning WGR show, and never saw Beane have such a meltdown, but he knew we were going to sign Moore the next day.
  21. To my favorite TBD Hondo, here you go.. you’re wife should play it when you enter a party.
  22. Marv was one of a kind. In the summer of 1990, I just graduated from Oswego, and had one of my two summer jobs at Dock of the Bay on Hamburg Beach. Well, the background was it was somewhat of a biker roadhouse, and the new ownership mandated us bouncers and bartenders to instill an appearance code. The bottom line was mgmt wanted a fun summer beach club and keep the fights to a minimum. Now I’m 5’8” and went from an accomplished wrestler, to a Powerlifter on a national level so needless to say I was built. I was also the smallest bouncer in the group. All the other guys were 6’3” and loaded with steroids and GH. Good guys, but typical meatheads. They wanted them circulating and me with two other guys working the door. The manager knew a college kids coming from St. Francis would be more polite, but we had to ID a person even if he was 75. So one late afternoon around happy hour or dinner time. The Bills entourage led by Polian and Levy came to the door. I explained to Mr. Polian the owners were just trying to make a safe, fun place so I needed his ID. He was in a huff over it, and Coach Levy, just made a joke of it. He said “what’s your name”. I told him Dan, coach. He said to the group and Levy, “Great, here you go”. “Bill it’s a compliment.” Well, Polian started laughing, and Coach turned it completely around. They had I assume playbooks, etc. with them and had a private space for them. From that Friday on, if they came in, they jokingly had their ID’s out. My long winded point is Coach had a way of turning a little stressful thing, into a running joke. The6 only came in maybe once or twice after that Friday, but they had their ID’s out and we made fun of the situation. They probably don’t even remember it, but it was a memory for me. So of all the Marvisms shared, this one was my favorite, and and true BUFFALO. Lastly, my Dad turns 95 this August and still has it together. He told me if Marv can do it, I probably could go a couple more years. Levy inspires my Dad, so for that I’m eternally grateful.
  23. Hondo (my favorite SWAT guy), I’m glad you indicated the HC and JA17. No all-pro drought team and the kicker is Beane. He may have missed on a couple of 1st or 2nd rd guys, but he’s the best at the mid to late round gems. He also has been shrewd at the construction of the roster and maneuvering $ so we are sustainably successful. So many Bash McClappy, but he a hellova coach. He’s done much more right than wrong.
  24. Pete, I’ll agree on regression on Daquan as he’s getting too slow. As far as a potential breakout, I’m banking on Elijah Moore finally getting a real QB, actually the best in the NFL. Getting the most out of a WR. As long as he follows his past with Josh, Moore can finally breakout. They need synergy, but have that in you’ll a ColeBeasely who was avg. in Dallas become a star slot WR, or a nobody in Mack Hollins breakout like he did with Josh. Coleman will benefit from learning from a complete WR in Moore. I refuse to do fantasy or betting for certain reasons, but he always asks me for ideas on his fantasy. I gave him Moore as a sleeper. Moore at Miss. went 1195 yards his last year, then he gets the dregs of the NFL and still received around 650-700 yards a year with the likes of Zack Wilson, Deshaun Watson, Jamie’s Winston, and a litany of other no name baffoons. Watch what he can do with the best QB in the NFL and in Bills history. This is coming from a guy who chose the moniker Machine Gun Kelly. Jimbo was my hero in the late 80’s through the 90’s, but Josh is a unicorn. The best thing Coleman can do is listen when Moore talks. He’s limited in his route tree. I’ve studied Moore, and he is an underperforming stud horse due to the wrong people throwing to him.
  25. Dawg, you're kiling me. My eldest son shares his birthday with Elvis. If true because you do like to kid, Happy Birthday bud! Lastly, Happy Birthday Joey bag of donuts.
