  1. I like Vic as he does a show in Saturdays on Sirius with Dan Leberfeld (Jets reporter) for years. No frills analysis and relatively fair minded. A little dry, but again fair. They are the opposite of Hot Take. I don’t know on Brown. He’s back on the field so I don’t know about the weight loss. He’s been rock solid for two years, and sure he had back soreness. Nothing right now to get over hyped about and we’ll see week 1.
  2. Im very fortunate 1/2 mile from my home there are two restaurants in Tampa. One has the best wings down here so I’ll split with my wife 8 garlic hot with blue cheese of course. A block away is Mothers where 1 of the two owners is from Buffalo, so a Beef on Weck. Authentic, with the proper rolls served with dill pickles and horseradish. They use Prime Rib so very tasty. I only drink beer maybe once a year on the SB as I graduated to wine a long time ago. I have a system where I will then get a four pack of Guinness, and 6 pack of Harps. No self respecting Irishman dirties up a good beer with British with Bass. Only half and half so Harps and Guinness. I don’t do the SB party anymore as they are a distraction and can’t hear the game. We’d have my sons and their GF, but they are 26 and 24 and are into the party atmosphere.
  3. I’m tabling judgment. He may shine under Josh, or may be a bust. IDK and I don’t think anyone else does either as he’s had bums throwing to him.
  4. To me on time is late by a mile and that is just as a Regional Manager in a Medical Device Company. You have to demonstrate to your people you will learn, do, and perform everything they will do. Keon’s learning from one of the best. I appreciate he is trying. Hopefully, this translates to being as close to perfect as possible.
  5. I don’t think it’s an absolute either way. IR should be last resort as we all want Tre to be the old Tre, but a torn ACL, then Achilles is significant. After week 1 which I seriously doubt any of these opponents are serious threats, so weaving him in after a week to two fully healthy and starting against weak opponents would give him experience and can manage load time for Tre. We just don’t know how he’ll heal and progress as far as Mad Max.
  6. E-Man, it’s meaningless to me. To me, they call it practice for a reason. They are trying new strategies and techniques and seeing what they can add. To their game.
  7. Dave, I putlearning to play the piano on my bucket list when I retire. I’m sure you’re good.
  8. Pete, I’m left handed (short bus as there are only 10% of us in the world) and have always batted, swung a hockey stick, and swung a golf club right. Swinging left is unnatural for me. Being taught by the nuns in the 70’s in elementary school, they used to make me cut papers, etc. after school with my right hand as they said I had a weakness in my right hand. Seems pretty antiquated now, but I didn’t know any better from the St. Joseph’s nuns at OMGC. Not sure if you know it, but now a closed down Catholic elementary school located in Blasdell.I I grew up on the border of Hamburg, but went to a Blasdell Catholic school.
  9. Saint, I think someone else sent the link to the recording, so just scroll through the thread. Minus the commercials, it was about. 1hr. And 20 minutes. For me, I like the analysis of the team between the interviews. The guys I mentioned gave I teresti g interviews, but nothing earth shattering. I’ll agree with eball, they consider our team to be a blue chip team, and if you listened to their rating of the various rooms, these last several weeks, they have us because of depth towards the top in depth at almost every position.
  10. Ethan, first thanks for the distraction with this thread. It seems like we have a diverse bunch of guys (unisex phrase). As far as hobbies, I work in the business side of medicine, so not a hobby, but a large part of my life. Faith is important to me, and so is my family. I’m a father of three, and now with my second marriage two stepsons. My daughter is adopted from China, and turns out 8 years after the end of my first marriage (22 years), I swore I’d never remarry, but did to the most wonderful girl and coincidentally was born and raised in China. Talking to her parents is interesting as they don’t speak English. They live in my wife’s home about 4-5 months a year. I’ve always worked out since I was 14, and just a part of me. I have a buddy we try and train together around 4-5 days a week. I too liked all the Star Trek shows and movies except that DSN. I still go to church most weeks, but don’t ask my wife to attend. I have a park I enjoy the solitude. It’s called Philippe Park in Safety Harbor and on the north end of Tampa Bay. I enjoy the silence of it, and have actually started to meditate, which was a challenge as I’m usually a mile a minute. It’s nice watching the fisherman, and the older couple taking walks with each other holding hands. Movies Football (mainly the NFL) Love cooking for my wife and her kids Lastly, a closet Dexter fan. I’ve been able to get my wife excited on the shows, and her ring ton is the beginning song for Dexter. Mine is the ominous music at the end of every show. Anyway, it’s nice to get to know each of you. I appreciate knowing some of the other interests. Enjoy the weekend guys.
  11. Guys, have fun as not a Buffalo local anymore. I hope you guys make it loud. We’re probably flying up for the KC game in a couple of months. My boys are stoked.
  12. It was basically analysis as they are very fair balanced, and interviews from Beane, McD, Josh, Keon, and I’m sure I’m missing someone. It’s always a fun day as have been listening to this stuff for years.
  13. I truly hope he’s made a couple of bucks with his career, and now can go on with a normal life. I wish him nothing but success.
  14. I don’t know about the whole year, but agree with you to a point. After the Ravens (Tre is much better suited to deal with Lamar) we have soft games where they can decide when they want Mad Max in place even if part time. It begs the question, once healthy, is it Max or Tre for the later tough games in Tampa, KC, Philly, Cincy, and so on. That also goes for Bosa. To save him for these tough games is smart. To use him maybe for a 50% rotation for 2-3 quarters makes sense on easy teams.
  15. He’s a piece of crap. It may not be corporate America, but he’s evading common sense. Outside of my kids, and of course wife, I would never intimately touch another person. Forget anything else, it’s just stupid from a person who’s probably never been no in his life. He's getting what he deserves, and I’m guessing the Raiders were looking for a reason to move on. HR can be an effective weapon when needed. That’s why in our world, normal American, never give anyone a hint of a reason to get yourself fired.
  16. It seems Beane is quite adept at finding these steals like Benford-6th, Milano-5th (I know it was a month before he took over the draft in 2017, but do you really think he wasn’t in McD’s ear even before he took over and yes I know they are not allowed, but guess they dealt with this together), the Diggs acquisition in free agency-5th rd., Dane-7th rd., and so on. It’s his greatest among many strengths. Sure he’s missed somewhat on top picks, ie. Elam, but our scouting dot., sure demonstrates he finds diamonds in the rough.
  17. My WAG is he’s out until week 1, amd then practices while Tre takes the reins for the first four weeks. By that time, he’ll be completely healthy and can start being woven into the starting line up.
  18. I don’t have a lot of memories as he was in the tail end of his career when I was a pre-teen. I do remember my older brother and dad going nuts when OJ broke the 2000 yard mark. I was 5, and didn’t know why they were so excited, but it was a big day. Even my mom pulled my Dad up to dance in jubilation. She loved doing silly stuff, and my Dad never dances so was funny watch him try. I do remember when he went to the 49ers and his knees were shot. He was a shell of himself, but he was a thing of beauty to watch from my earliest football memories. I know he turned into a parody with Police Squad, then demonstrated what despicable character that should have put him in prison. The football memories were great. I even remember he played a bit role in the Towering Inferno. I think he was one of the hotel security guards.
  19. Guys, I sent this over a week ago. Just look it up. I even stated the channel date and time. It’s not a jinx as they go to at least 20+ teams including KC. Its on the app for about four or so days so if you have the subscription and app, you can watch at your leisure.
  20. I don’t disagree that’s the popular consensus, but I don’t agree. You have your opinion, and I have mine. Neither is right or wrong.
  21. Love the shirt. What a cute kid. https://youtu.be/RFlCD5CYAcU?si=VhcZ4RzV8dOXdaQR
  22. I don’t know how this is a surprise to anyone as he’s the best QB in football. Everyone always says Mahomes, but I’ll take JA17 all day long.
  23. He was somewhat of a loud mouth, but extremely talented in his day, and certainly never wish ill will on someone, especially the big C. My dad survived three bouts of it, and turns 95 next month, but my mom wasn't so lucky. I certainly hope he is on the way to a successful recovery. He sounds like he was pretty tough continuing to coach with these multiple issues for the benefit of his son. I’ll always respect that in him.
  24. Camp bodies. Thats all. We cant have Palmer, Coleman, and Shakir on every play of every practice. None of these guys will be on the team, but they want work. Hey, they’re getting a paycheck and a an outside chance. All of these injuries don’t sound serious, but precautionary for several of them. Makes sense to me. If I was one of these recent signings, I’d be going at 115% on every play.
