  1. First, he hasn’t been horrible as that is not true. Second, he has a groin injury. Whether you know it or not, he’s our best defensive player when healthy. He’s not resting, he’s injured. We also need him for the playoffs. I don’t care if Williams plays for now if he’s healthy, but it was apparent, Spector is suited as the backup Mic LB, but not the Wil. That requires more coverage in space. That’s Milano’s Best asset. His brain. When we are facing the Broncos, or Chargers, then the Ravens or Steelers, we’ll need all of our best players. Lastly, let me remind people Milano is a 1st team all pro. That’s an honor. Pro bowls and Top 100 are popularity contests. MVP, 1st team all pros, OPOY, DPOY, and the ROY are all given to the best players by people who know football and vote. Sunday’s game went as I expected. The same should happen the next two weeks. They’ll play the starters who can start, and in the 2nd half start pulling them so they are good for the playoffs. Well know Wed. After the Chiefs game if they lose whether we go for it in week 18.
  2. Also Milano. Personally, I think my expectations are modulated by resting guys to get healthy for the playoffs. Neither the Pats and Jets are really competitive for us so when we face tough teams, we’ll need everyone.
  3. McD won’t do it. If he sees we are commandingly winning at the half, he’ll start pulling people. Remember Dungy did this with the Colts under Manning, and they lost almost immediately. NFL players are creatures of habit, and will want to play. The really banged up guys may sit, but the majority of them will play at least a half. I agree with the philosophy. We probably won’t win the 1st seed, but it’s possible still if the Chiefs lose both. They do play on Wed. Which is a short period of time. The Steelers and Broncos are no slouches so I’ll hold out hope for now. The psyche of the team walking into the playoffs at 14-3 will prevail with these players. I can see in all three games if we are blowing out our opponents for multiple players being pulled in the second half. It’s a compromise meaning maybe in the 2nd half today we see Milano, Williams, and so on getting pulled for their backups. Less wear and tear, yet still feeling in a rhythm. I just don’t see the Cheats nor the Jests giving us much of a fight. The only potential change in strategy may be instead of testing tactics in the first half and pouring it on in the 2nd half be flipped to pounding each opponent so that we are in a comfortable lead in the 2nd half of these games. A heavy running approach in quarters 3 and 4, and the O Line love blocking in the run vs. pass.
  4. Clark Kent’s name on Krypton. You’ve never seen a Superman movie? Sorry, Kal-El. Im not Kryptonian. That’s Josh.
  5. Turbo, it probably comes down to Philly or Detroit. I know the Lions are really banged up, but may get some back by the playoffs. They have been the #1 scoring offense this year with us a close second. The difference is we have more healthy starters. Not perfect, but better. I don’t see anyone in the AFC beating us. Not even the Ravens. Their defense is horrible. We are not the same team as early in the year.
  6. I’ll be the boring grandpa here, but trick plays aren’t the answer. Brady’s strategy has been awesome as he keeps getting more flexible throughout the year. I understand the argument we are working the clock and sacrificing years against Detroit, but the next three weeks we need to clampdown on these opponents. Some guys are so enamored with trick plays. There’s a lot more potential for a problem and we’re not desperate.
  7. Best post, aka Collell. Thanks God for our yellow Sun. Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall LB’s in a single bound. Look kids, it’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Josh freakin Super Allen!!!!!!!!! The human cyborg.
  8. Same to you Ray to you and your family. It sounds nice. It’s not snowing in Tampa, but it was 42 degrees this morning. It’s nice to just break out one of my three leather jackets when heading to our favorite park.
  9. AD, I’m with you. Some weeks Cooper’s value like in the Rams game is 14 targets for positive play as we needed an outside threat, and some weeks like Detroit we need to hit the middle and 12 personnel, but defenses are planning to stop him on the outside. The best part of this offense now is we can hit you from the middle, up the gut, and from the outside. Inside Kinkaid, Knox, and Shakir Up the gut Cook, Davis, and Johnson Outside Cooper, and Coleman This is the most complete offense of the McBeane era.
  10. That’s about the only thing close. In reality, the only QB who is slightly close is Elway. Big, tough, athletic, accurate, excellent decision making skills.
  11. I really don’t go into other boards. If someone sends a repost fine and will look at it, but I honestly don’t care. Fans are allowed on their board to say anything they want about any Bill or the team. It’s their prerogative, but to commend many on this board, I am earnestly impressed with some on the board who provide insight, and unique perspectives. You guys also find info, I may not see and it’s appreciated.
  12. Savage, KJ is right. The sad thing is of a person just admits he’s a KC fan like zero, they are more times than not treated with respect, and Zero is very respectful of our team. Spags is just a spoof. He actually grows on you if you don’t take him seriously. It’s the dingbats who pretend to be a Bills fan, but proceeds to every undermining passive aggressive attempt to trash every aspect of the team, well good guys like KJ or myself call them out. There are many others like Eball and so on that we come together. I truly don’t mind if a fan of another team wants to add to the conversation. Just be honest, and not a tool. Anyway, things have been relatively calm lately.
  13. I’m just happy Dion and his family are ok. The jokes can come later. The poor pilot just lost his life the week before Xmas. If he has a wife and kids, that sucks, but even if not he has to have parents and siblings. I realize people are trying to make jokes, but a man died. I’m in on making fun of any AFCE opponent, but not in a tragedy.
  14. All of you guys talking about Italian, I may go pasta with the wife. As far as the earlier post, I had Seven Course Seafood pasta for 22 years with the first wife. Her family is staunch NYC Italians. I actually came to like it. Since we’re doing g the traditional roast etc. on Xmas, pasta makes sense.
  15. I’m always happy for Josh, but these records are piling up. It’s wonderful. I’ll repeat what I e said before, how about we win the SB, Josh gets SB MVP, and MVP for the season.
  16. I have three authentic jerseys, but the one we win the most is when I wear my Fredex jersey. With all of the nice golf shirts, etc, I just feel better in a jersey. As far as watching the game, I’ve learned the hard way to not be in my favorite watering hole, as it’s too distracting. By myself, occasionally with my sons and my wife laughing at me barking at the tv is great. Ive started to be open I married in the beginning of the summer and my wife has never seen an NFL game. She laughs at how nuts we are about our teams. I commonly tell her she can watch some asain cooking show in the back if she wants, but she stated she considers my antics better comedy. She’s even bought a Bills border for her back license plate and wears Bills gear each week. Jack, good thread. We all stick together when it comes to our Bills. Now it’s onto hopefully destroying the Cheats, and maybe even with all backups in the 2nd half. It seems like McBeane is playing the long game so we don’t have starters down when it matters.
  17. I went with Shakir primarily because when we had no other weapons, he kept Movin the chains. He had more tough yards and yes, Cook has been equally important. Coleman emerged 1/3 the way into the season once he was used to NFL speed. Cooper sealed it, not because he’s made this overwhelming impact, but his presence on the field changed how defenses prepare for our offense. The reality is this is a barstool conversation, and the sum of the parts is more significant than one player over another. I just was so happy to finally see Cooper, Coleman, and Shakir along with our stable of backs, and now 2 TE’s healthy.
  18. For the people that like to crap on the WGR guys and I’ll agree with that afternoon crew, Jeremy and Joe called this point this morning. Lamar can’t hold Allen’s water. He’s a good QB, but he’s not even close to the same stratosphere as Josh, Mahomes or Burrow. It’s a pr ridiculous game to get him the previous MVP. Josh has been better than him since they both entered the league. I’ll grant you in 2018, Lamar played better, Josh caught up in 19, and never looked back. If Josh doesn’t win the MVP, SB MVP, amd the SB, Ill be shocked this year. We will finish 14-3, and probably can rest some starters in the 2nd half of the next three games. We can beat the Cheats and Jests in our sleep. Sorry, Oats, no 55 yard wins this Sunday. It will be cold, but Josh likes the cold as evidenced by one of the coldest Bills games in history against oh yeah, the Cheats.
  19. House, I’ll remind you some of us remember when Bruce was drafted. Heck one of my first memories was my brother and dad going nuts in 1973 when OJ broke the record. If you count the yards per game, OJ had the best single season of all time. OJ did it in 14 games. I actually did the math on all guys over 2000 yards, and it’s not even close. I even looked up the great Jim Brown in 12 games and he didn’t even do what OJ did way back when I was 5. Bruuuce was the best defensive play of all time. He also did that 17 sacks a year in avg in the old fashioned 3/4. It was truly remarkable. With all of that said, the more I ponder the question and I did vote for Bruce, but only because Josh hasn’t played long enough to be the best of all time. He will though, and when he’s done he will be the GOAT in my book. Heck my wife playfully reminds me she wants to fool around with him. Hey, it gets her to watch football for me.
  20. Transient, he mentioned the record is 13 in a row. I know we’re at 11. if the record is just 13 in a season, then great.
  21. He’s definitely frustrating as he misses a 25 yard kick, but makes a 50.
  22. First, Billy, welcome to the board as I see this is your first post. Most guys here are pretty nice. As far as your post, there’s only one problem. You mention we are only the 5th team to score 30+ pts in 8 games. The problem is as you mentioned, the Broncos have the record with 13 over 30. Well, seeing as there are only 3 games left, that means the most we could execute is 11 games. It’s great, but 13 is not possible. As far as 11 games, it is definitely plausible against the hapless Cheats, Jests, and Cheats. To your Philly point, the two toughest NFC opponents are the Lions and Iggles. As long as we make it, we should face one of these two.
  23. Someone early, mentioned the Bucs. Normally, I’d say no way, but with Godwin he could maybe be a role player. He won’t make a big impact and get next to nothing as he is cooked, but they need a body right now.
  24. Einstein , heck he’ll do it with only three games if the Cheats and Jests. The Lions is just gravy. I’m with Howard Simon, we win the next four games. There are so many injuries on the Lions, especially on defense, and they’ve barely beaten some bad teams. At least with our weak opponents, we’ve blown them out. Please don’t get me wrong. This is a dogfight this Sunday and we’ll win by 3 or less in the last minute of the game. No more, or easier.
  25. As always 3/12, I agree with you. I just have a feeling like I would like him if I ever had the pleasure of meeting him. It’s always a treat when the guys you hope are nice guys, really are in person. At my NSM (National Sales Meeting) back in 2011, I met again Andre Reed and he was nice nice in person as expected. We had an evening team building thing where we had a chili cook off. He was the celebrity judge. One of my guys convinced him I was the biggest Bills fan in the company, so he came over to the tent, amd we talked for almost 10 minutes. I asked him if he wouldn’t mind just saying a few words to my sons who were 12 and 9 at the time and both Bills fans and played football. He went farther and actually talked with my oldest for several minutes, and I thanked him profusely for it. My point is Josh just seems to do as much right off the field as he does on the field. He was literally the exact opposite of some of the Bucs fans I met over the years during the Sapp and others period.
