Well, you can look at it in two positive ways: 1. He made up for making a mistake and it won't happen again 2. He knew that something was going to happen that would work out for him and he let the guy complete the pass

Yes, yes I have heard. I agree with the first 7/8 of it, disagree with the last 1/8. If something bad happens pre-season and can be worked upon, it will be worked upon. If something good happens, thats great and you can work on the other things that need to be worked on. To say that we are going to the playoffs is taking one post and combining it with another and throwing that combination under a microscope that you are looking through with a magnifying glass with reading glasses on or, in short, creating a hyperbole or exaggeration. I haven't once read that something good that happens in the preseason will alone guarantee a playoff berth. The font in red: I do believe Welker is more of a slot receiver and an underneath guy. Harvin is a speedster. And Johnson doesn't jump as much as Simpson. The font in golden rod: nothing is convenient in life. Just merely a coincidence and proof. i.e. he sure is throwing better than at the beginning of last season and way, way better than the third quarter of last season. Plus, that's not even the main reason why people think he's going to play better, its more because of the fact that we got a QB coach now and that there won't be all the pressure of leading a team, not because of a "convenient excuse". And what makes it excuse in the first place? Is it because its not what you want to here? You asked, you got an answer, you decided the answer didn't work with your belief, you decided to label it an excuse. What are you, an annoying teacher? Don't ask questions you're not going to like the answer to, especially if you're just going to call it an excuse because its not an excuse, its an answer and his reasoning. Everything you've said is the exact opposite of an excuse since your trying to blame everything! So what should I call it? A convenient unexcuse?

There should be no arguing over a pre season game. No one has to play well, there's no pressure for most of the first string. It was 10-0 by the end of the first when Minnesota took their starters out. Not a good score but it would not have been the end of the game by far. Its obvious that none of the players are worried about what happened. If what happened yesterday happened the regular season, there would be someone talking to the players. Maybe it would be Fitz. Fred. Wilson. Stevie. There would also be the coordinators and Gailey talking to everyone. I don't even think those picture things that the QBs look at were being used. As I'm watching the game right now, its obvious that the 2nd stringers are playing more energetically than the 1st. I'm not saying that the 1st aren't trying because I don't know what to say about that but its seems that the 2nd are out there trying to prove something, which should be the case. And about the Bills needing to prove something, they don't need to prove anything right now. There's no point in proving themselves and even if they did, what would be the benefit? All would be happy in Bills Mafia? People will be excited about a good preseason? What happens if they start off poorly? Everyone will be disappointed over a good, strong preseason. If you don't worry about what happens, everything will be fine. It helps if you watch the preseason games and then don't read anything about the preseason on the board. People on here are very convincing and your brain will have you believing in the worst, whether its true or not. Most of you people that are complaining just want something to hang there hats and coats on, something that will help them sleep at night. Just take some Lunesta and go to sleep in your Bills gear and don't wake up till Sept 9th. It'll help your cholesterol. There's my completely uninformed opinion on all the posts one here.
