  1. Del'Shawn Phillips is out, also. I wouldn't think this has any bearing on Milano's status.
  2. So weird that they changed his position to TE (but, does that even matter?). He looked pretty good last week, and I wonder if he doesn't really start to fill a role on offense. He may be our best option as something like a power back (which Moss does not seem to be). He also seems to be talented as a receiver, and it's not like he needs a particularly complete route tree. Likely Allen will be facing a lot more pressure this week, and will need more short-yardage plays. Gillium could have a breakout game tomorrow.
  3. I don't want to see Yeldon or Jones with the ball in their hands. I'd rather see end-arounds from McKensie (Rams edge rushers aren't the best), or check downs to a TE (Gillium?). Yeldon is a lousy ball carrier, and I remember how frustrating Jones was when he was a Bill. IMO, neither of those guys are reliable.
  4. I think in this game Allen is going to need/use a check-down option that wasn't so necessary in the first two games. That could be Kroft. It could be Gillium, for that matter-- I posited that in another thread. I'll be shocked if Lee Smith isn't active for this game, and I would expect to see him on the field quite a bit. It would be surprising to see the heavy four or five WR sets we saw last week. With Moss out, and Gillium listed as a TE, I would think a fair number of 02 personnel sets, and lots of 11 sets with Singletary. But I would be surprised if there wasn't a TE on the field on almost every play, even with Knox out, so Kroft should get plenty of opportunities. That's my take, anyway.
  5. Williams has been a solid upgrade. I can't imagine them benching him for either Ford or Feliciano.
  6. I think you may be overstating this. It's really only a matter of dropped passes. If he were more reliable in receiving, everything else falls into place for him. He blocks well, and he gets great YAC. And, just to add to the frustration, he has occasionally made spectacular catches. All that being said, I don't think we're going to miss him this Sunday. I think (hope) we're going to see Gilliam used in a power back role on Sunday. It's certainly an element out run game is missing. I think he's also a good check down option, which was, so far, the one thing Moss was useful at.
  7. I want to see McVay and McDermott wrestle.
  8. Mick Foley was a professional wrestler, and quite possibly the toughest athlete to ever live, at least in terms of putting his body on the line, and performing through pain. There's a great documentary called "Beyond the Mat," that I think you can see on Netflix. Even if you're not at all a fan of pro wrestling (I'm not), it's a really good watch.
  9. This could certainly be worse. Hopefully at least one of either Edmunds, or Milano will play. With or without Moss, our running game is missing a power back. Does Gillium fill that role? I don't think I am going to miss Knox dropping passes. I love him, but this is a game where those mistakes can't happen. As far as the matchup concerns, I think Davis matches up as well with any of their LBs, or secondary. I assume Lee S will be out there blocking. Who wants to bet we see even more of Gilliam this game?
  10. He's also one of the smartest men to ever play the sport. https://www.sportscasting.com/smartest-players-nfl/
  11. What kind of fans would we be without deep-seated, obstinate, mulish opinions?
  12. Of Beasley is limited, I wonder if they'll play Brown more to the inside, and let Davis run deep?
  13. As long as Donald is behind him when he does!
  14. Who do we pound the rock with? We don't really have a one two punch, at the moment. I would expect Motor to get more carries, and he looks like he's just picked up where he left off last season, which is great. But after Motor we have a hobbled Moss, who has looked useful as a check-down, or short yardage receiver, but has been stuffed for a loss on too many carries, and then Yeldon, and Jones? Ugh.
  15. I'm thinking a combination of the three.
  16. I was one of the very few who thought we should've traded down, and taken Lamar Jackson. I didn't like either Josh, and I thought Mayfield, and Darnold were both out of reach. As an extra bonus for ridicule, I opined that we should've kept Tyrod Taylor to be Jackson's mentor. I only posted this opinion a couple times, as I was soundly flamed both times. I can't say that I'm particularly ashamed of that take, but in retrospect, I prefer being a fan of Josh Allen. He's turning into everything I want my quarterback to be.
  17. He took a hit, that's for sure. But he was back out on the field after that, right? Hopefully not too serious.
  18. I think Beasley would be a big loss for this game. The slot routes could play big. But, I could see Brown getting a lot of those plays, and Davis running wide. Taron Johnson could be a significant loss, especially if Milano, or Edmunds doesn't make it back on the field, but I have a lot of confidence in Neal. That guy's a beast. I kinda feel like I'm not going to miss Knox dropping passes. God, I hope Oliver's absence is precautionary, and I hope Tre's red jersey was lined with bubble wrap. Obviously, either of those guys would be a huge loss for this game.
  19. That looks like a lot of contact for a red, no-contact jersey...
  20. I'm going to suggest that he was kept around one year too short. Unless, you're going to suggest that Late Nate Peterman was a better option as a vet mentor/bridge QB?
  21. Wow, that's a lot more than I thought! It's really hard to get a bead on the interior line during a normal broadcast. Now I really want to go back to the game, and key in on him for a bit.
  22. I saw him out there, but don't recall anything noteworthy.
  23. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the limited snaps Harry has had have been at one tech position?
  24. You don't live on the East Coast, right?
  25. Maybe Late Nate will be starting by then?
