  1. Missing two of the starting three WRs, with four total being on the injury report (including Hollins) doesn't help.
  2. Come on, now. Shakir had his worst game of the season, and Samuel was 4/8 for 35 yards. At 4/4 for 86 yards, and four first downs, Hollins was the best WR on the field on Sunday. Pretty hard to fault him for Allen's poor stats in that game. At this point, Hollins would have to walk on water while catching pass for you to give hime the props he deserves.
  3. @FireChans is furious!
  4. I'm actually in agreement with @NewEra here. And I don't think just their stat lines are all that informative. I've noticed that Kincaid often catches balls behind him, and I've wondered it they really have the chemistry just yet. Kincaid has great hands, but he doesn't have great footwork, and I feel like Allen doesn't always have the timing of the throw quite right. But, I haven't really thought about it all that much, so I don't have much to base my opinion on.
  5. I wouldn't mind seeing Gardner in a Bills jersey.
  6. I feel like if the Bills lose this game, they have a better chance when they meet in the playoffs. BBFS. go bills
  7. I do understand. Bills fans will say the same thing. What was absurd to me was in the context of that particular game-- one in which Rapp took an impactful flag that should have been thrown to the opposing player he tackled, among several other erroneous calls that went Miami's way. I also shake my head at the notion that the NFL would be gunning against a big-market team like the Dolphins, over a small-market team like the Bills, which venues like NFL Redzone practically ignore. And believe me-- There is a very vocal segment of the Dolphin fanbase that has convinced themselves of this. It goes well beyond what we would see on the Bills forum, where it would be a more rational take (although I still wouldn't agree with it).
  8. I think it's largely people who didn't like the acquisition way back in the offseason, and they don't like to be wrong. I'm wrong all the time, so it doesn't bother me so much.
  9. Fanbase seems to be split down the middle.
  10. Word for word, what I was about to write.
  11. As absurd as it sounds, a common refrain on the Dolphins forum is how the refs/NFL are working against them. Some even blamed their loss to the Bills on the refs. Lolphins fans are some of the worst in the league, imo.
  12. You’ve been quite vocal about the sorry state of our safety room dating back to before training camp. But I have to imagine that they have (especially Rapp) exceeded your very low expectations?
  13. At this stage, i wonder if it doesn't have more to do with Samuel's chemistry with Allen?
  14. Last season, KC entered the playoffs as the #3 seed, and somehow had the undeniably easiest opponent in the Dolphins, who couldn't wait to get back on the bus.
  15. Of course he wouldn't be on the field as often, under that scenario. But, under your scenario, I imagine they would probably cut Samuel. And (I suppose to your chagrin), we would still be seeing Hollins on the field for blocking, check-downs, screens, and some red zone situations. He would still have a role on offense.
  16. Shakir is one of the best slot receivers in the league. And if we had acquired Davante Adams, instead of Cooper, and Coleman was playing like a 1,200 yard receiver (which he was starting to do before Poyer took him out), then Mack Hollins would still be on the 53, and still getting significant playing time. In my opinion.
  17. Your reasoning is so selective. "only game where Josh HAD to throw to Mack..." Josh Allen throws to eight to ten guys every game. "Josh had one of the worst games of his career and Amari was a Bill a week later." After which they immediately cut... MVS. I'm not even sure what your point is. Do you think I'm arguing that Mack Hollins is a #2 WR? I'm not. He's a #4, role player, and valuable as such.
  18. If you believe that garnering the second most snaps at his position, but not getting the second most targets equates to him not executing his role, then I don't think you understand Hollins' role in this offense. And to suggest that Beane acquired Cooper because of Hollins' "lack of production," is a looooong stretch. P.S. Guess whose snap count really fell after they acquired Cooper? [hint: it's the guy they immediately got rid of.]
  19. You're just flat-out ignoring what Hollins' role, and value is on this offense, and team. As long as you've been posting on this forum, I have a hard time believing you're not capable of seeing it. So, your take seems pretty odd to me.
  20. From the way that Beane constructed the receiver corps this offseason, it seemed to me that Hollins role would be as a downfield blocker, an occasional check down option, an occasional EZ option, and a core ST. I don't think they ever viewed him in a "Gabe Davis" type role, or as a boundary receiver. And all the leadership stuff was just gravy. In this regard, he has exceeded expectations, IMO.
  21. Bothered you when he caught that touchdown pass last week, did it?
  22. If you say so… Ok… I guess we have different definitions of “skank”
  23. If there was another player with a super hot girlfriend that they kept showing, would that be better?
  24. Hopkins is really, really good. I know Worthy is just a rookie, but I don’t think there is another receiver in the NFL that’s easier to tackle.
  25. I'm one of those guys, though I generally keep it to myself. It's emotionally easier for me if I lower my expectations as the game approaches. The Bills are going to walk onto the field complacent. Tua has something to prove. They're underestimating the Dolphins offense. They have a great run game. Hill/Waddle is an elite duo. There's all sorts of ways a pessimist like myself can build up a clearly inferior team like the Dolphins. Then when the Bills, once again, stomp the Fish into the turf, it almost feels like a happy surprise.
