  1. I'm not entirely sure that's true. The NFL can't impose a mandate that violates their contract, and I'm not sure the agreement reached regarding Covid is contractual. I belong to a union in the motion picture industry (IATSE). I'm currently working on a TV show at Warner Bros in Burbank, and they just last week mandated that all department heads be vaccinated.
  2. No. You're a Bills fan.
  3. I have worked on several of his music videos, and I can tell you that Sean Puffy Combs can't dance to save his life, has lousy rhythm, and is tone deaf. For reelz.
  4. AD has always struck me as a clean player, also. He's not like an Ndamukong Suh, or a Burfict.
  5. There's a picture of him sitting in his car/MRI machine posted to the instagrams.
  6. Can someone post a screenshot, or something from this? I don't do the instagram.
  7. Diggs was used for gadget plays in Minnesota, also.
  8. If he's throwing up as a result of a concussion, that could be serious, and represent a vestibular issue, which would be a very bad thing for a professional athlete. Hopefully, it doesn't become a long-term issue for him. I'm really looking forward to the AFCE being a competitive division, but man... the Jets can't catch a break!
  9. "Believe" is a strong word there, for a bold prediction. I suspect Cam Lewis is going to make the 53, and McCloud might go to the PS.
  10. Maybe not "weird hate," but weird insult, and disrespect for a player who really doesn't deserve it. It's actually kind of a common way that these things evolve. Duke had some really dedicated fans here for a while, and that will always spur others to be anti, and then that starts to snowball. People often allow their desire to be "right" cloud their judgement of a player-- in both directions. I was a supporter of Duke when he first got here, and I, like many, was quite vocal about it. That sort of dialogue seemed to inspire others to be very vocal in their opposition.
  11. I wonder if that isn't just the way some people's knees are structured? I knew a stunt man who claimed to have no ACL, and I never really believed him. I've snapped my left ACL twice (skiing), and while I could carefully walk on it before the repair, there is no way in hell I could have run on it. My lower leg would sort of roll out from under my upper leg.
  12. I agree. Lenoir, Gentry, Hodgins, Powell, all had decent camps.
  13. Thank you for that clarification.
  14. It's an interesting question. My first thought would be-- not very much. I mean, they have their own players to deal with, but I wouldn't be surprised if Daboll would once, or twice a season invite Frazier to the QB room to explain the logic behind certain defensive schemes, and how they might be recognized. Likewise, I wouldn't be surprised if Allen had the occasional question for Frazier. Anything to gain an edge, right?
  15. I don't believe it is because he actually hit him above the knee.
  16. Well, I don't think they keep seven WRs. I also don't think that Stevenson has solidified his position on the roster by his TD return (for reasons that I outlined on page 4 of Gunner's Good Night/Bad Night thread). But, even if he has, that might be one of the tough cuts to be made. I think it comes down to Kumerow vs. Stevenson there. I also think Doyle goes to the PS, where I think he will be perfectly safe. I know they generally roll with nine O-linesmen. But they also generally roll with six WRs. If they keep seven WRs, I don't think it will be at the expense of special teams. Breida is also not a lock, IMO. And, I say that not simply on the strength of his preseason performance, but from TC reports, as well. On Defense, I have argued that they keep seven DEs, and the odd man out could be Addison. I do agree with Gunner's assessment that the players who have sat are basically locks, but I'm not sure that necessarily applies to Addison. Really, starters like Jerry, and Tre don't need to be in the preseason games because you don't want to put them at risk, but also there is nothing there to evaluate. Similarly, there is no reason to play Addison, even if he is on the bubble. They know exactly what they have in him. Also on defense, if they plan to continue to play a nickel defense (and I haven't seen, or heard anything to suggest otherwise) I'm not sure they need to carry six LBs. Matekevich is very likely to make the roster for the same reason Johnson is-- he's a core ST standout, and also decent depth at his position. (I wish the same could be said for Jones...) One last thought: This season the Bills have moved on from Andre Roberts. PFR had him ranked as the #1 return specialist in 2020. We benefitted greatly, not just from the good field position that afforded us, but also from high-level ST play in general. With the loss of Roberts, and a worrisome competition between Lil Dirty, and Stevenson to replace him, how much more should McD, and Beane be willing to dismantle what was a top-shelf unit last season?
  17. I'm probably going to get flamed for this opinion, but I'm going to say it anyway: A lot of hay has been made regarding Stevenson's punt return for a TD. I have read posts on this site declaring that Stevenson has "won" the K/PR position from McKenzie. That he has "guaranteed" himself a spot on the 53. One such post declared "Kumerow is out." And, yeah, he was very fast, and shifty, and sure, Lil Dirty muffed one. But listen, in preseason games-- especially late in preseason games-- coaches have a lot of bubble players out there on kicks, and punts to see if they can handle special teams duties in a real game. We should all know that the players who are low on the depth chart are basically required to be able to play special teams, and preseason games are the coaches' best opportunity to evaluate them. And, the thinner a team is in depth (like Da Bears), the crappier the bubble players are going to be. Am I the only one who thought that return looked a little too easy? Don't get me wrong-- Stevenson certainly increased his stock with that play. But, I suspect that people are making a much bigger deal out of it than perhaps it is. Flame away.
  18. I have a hard time believing that they cut Taiwan Jones, and Bam Johnson. In fact, I have a hard time believing they cut either of them.
  19. And this dopey fan spent good money to sit in the 13th row, and watch that debacle live.
  20. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the same rules for protecting players on the PS that were instituted last season apply this season, as well. So, the trick would be getting Stevenson on the PS, not keeping him there.
  21. LOL, I just made that correction right before you responded!
  22. No doubt about it. I'm suspecting that teams who are thin at WR, and DE are paying especially close attention to the Bills in particular. And I'm assuming the Bills are paying close attention to teams that might be deep at OL, and CB.
  23. Worth noting also, his interception occurred because his WR slipped, and fell, after the ball was thrown.
  24. Perhaps, but of course, Kumerow has been playing on ST, as well. And I would think that the area of ST that poorer teams would have ignored would be the periphery spots, whereas they would have at least addressed K/PR. It all makes me consider... I think all teams, to some degree, are preparing for waivers, and have people watching tape (including the Bills) of value players that might get cut. It's no mystery in the league that the Bills are exceptionally deep at certain positions, WR being one of them. I wonder how much scrutiny the Bills are receiving around the league?
