  1. I thought I was paying attention to things, but I guess I wasn't...
  2. I believe they're also allowed to carry scissors, if they choose.
  3. Without apology, I have remained consistent in my support of McDermott, and the belief in his ability to grow, and improve as a head coach. And I feel that his tenure as our HC has affirmed my support. And while I do have a tendency to be a homer, I can truthfully say that I haven't felt this confident in a Bills HC since Marv Levy. Same goes for Beane.
  4. A) I disagree. Retiring with a ring would put a perfect cap on an incredible career. B) I'm sure that he knows he will have to compete for playing time. I would be pretty surprised if that weren't the case, and if it wasn't made clear to him.
  5. I'm saying the potential to get a ring playing on the team he spent so many years on would make it worth playing a backup roll for Hyde. That is no knock on his competitiveness whatsoever.
  6. If he thinks he might get a ring out of it? Absolutely.
  7. Not to change the subject, but I wonder what's up with Lewis Cine? Seemed like a hopeful acquisition when we signed him to the PS, and he's still there. I had expected to see him called up at some point.
  8. I'd be more nervous if I were a fan of the Chiefs playing the Chargers.
  9. I'm not really familiar with Al-Shaair. Does he have a history of this type of play?
  10. I used to agree with you on Collinsworth. For years, I thought he was the A-list color commentator for good reason. In the last couple years, or so, I have soured on him considerably. I think he's gotten lazy. And when he just shows up and starts blathering, without doing any homework on the game, it comes off as arrogance to me. That's perfectly exemplified by his comment on Groot. Truly, he didn't know what he was talking about, but spouted off anyway. It's his (well-paid) job, and to know about the teams he commenting on, and it does a disservice when he doesn't. That's all just my opinion, of course-- and take it with a grain of salt, as I'm in the clear minority of people who actually appreciates Tony Romo's color commentary. I think he's the best in the biz.
  11. Not arguing any of that, Straw Man.
  12. I think there's a big difference between a dirty hit during a play, and elbow-dropping a prone player, from behind, with a metal brace, in the back of the player's head after the whistle. I am of the opinion that the league did not take those aggravating circumstances enough into account. Agree. Utterly dirty hit that has no place in the game.
  13. Perhaps by the time we have to face then likes of Henry, or Montgomery/Gibbs (or, hopefully Barkley, or Montgomery/Gibbs in the Super Bowl 🙏), Milano will be 100%.
  14. In context though, i suspect those tackling numbers represent a lot more WRs, than RBs. Our secondary had a tough time against Henry, and CMC, and even Achane. Even after the tackle, Henry, and CMC would drag the tackler another three-five yards... I think it's the balanced attack we've had the most trouble with. Achane/Mostert were running really well in the first Miami game too, and we destroyed them in that game. But I have a lot more faith in our secondary defending the leagues best passing offenses than the best running offenses, though I certainly don't have any stats to back that up.
  15. I think the 9ers looked competitive before McCaffrey went down. Mason had a couple good runs early, as I recall, but didn't turn out to be terribly effective down the stretch. I don't think the Rams have the horsepower to exploit the run. 200lb Karen Williams ain't no CMC, or Derek Henry. And beyond Williams, there really isn't any depth at RB for the Rams. If McVay is going to dial up a plan to beat the Bills, it's not going to be in the run game. At best, Williams can balance the offense, but it's going to be Krupp, and Nacua-- especially if they have to play from behind.
  16. What were they able to do again...?
  17. Agree. But, she also better be wearing a #17 jersey, and enthusiastically cheering.
  18. Really, the biggest question for this game-- especially since it's in LA-- is: Will there be ample shots of Hailee Steinfeld in a private glass suite at SoFi?
  19. Stopping the run has to be a priority for the Bills D, and I have to believe that McD/Babich understand that. The toughest matchup for the Bills are the teams that run the ball well. Even the crappy Lolphins kept the game close with Achane as their best offensive weapon. The Ravens are probably the toughest matchup the Bills have in the league. Other teams match up better with the ravens, and hopefully we won't have to face them in the playoffs. If the Bills make it to the SB, the Lions, and the Eagles are both exceptional at running the ball, with Gibbs, and Barkley. IMO, it comes down to the D-line. With the exception of Groot, they have to do a better job of controlling the run at the LOS. Milano returning to form would also be huge in this regard. Tackling RBs in the secondary has to be better. When McCaffrey went down the other night, the 9ers lost about 40% of their offense. We have to believe that game would have been much closer, had not been injured.
  20. I really doubt Allen has a home (other than his parents' home) in Firebaugh. I stopped there for gas once. It's a tiny town surrounded by nothing but farmland.
  21. Interesting article. A rather modest home, really (cost, and community notwithstanding). And Sam Darnold lives in the same gated community. They're close friends, apparently.
  22. Due to unavoidable schedule conflicts, this will be the first Bills game in LA I've missed since the Rams moved back here, and the Bills played them at Olympic Stadium in 2016. It's amazing how strong the Bills fans will show up. There are quite a few WNY transplants, like myself, and we know how to make noise-- and when to make noise (Rams fans haven't seemed to figure that out yet...). We might not outnumber the Rams fans in the stadium, but it will sound like it.
  23. I started yelling at the TV when he said that!
  24. The bare feet isn't even the craziest thing about that outfit...
