  1. So, you're saying... Diggs is trolling, and you're biting?
  2. I, for one, was sorely disappointed with the Jets season that they didn't manage to push the Patriots* into the basement of the AFCE. Hopefully, Rodgers can get them over that hump into third place.
  3. Who does this guy think he is, Ben Roethlisberger?
  4. I wonder how Nextmanup feels about the recent Josh Allen sighting on vacation with his girlfriend?
  5. McD brought this team out of a seventeen-year playoff drought that ended with the disaster of Rex Ryan, and turned it into a perennial playoff contender. If that sounds like an apology to you, then I guess I'm one of the apologists.
  6. Saquan Barkley is only 26???
  7. God, I hate the Chiefs fans' tomahawk chop, and chant thing. I'm not going to say it's racist, but it sure as hell is tacky.
  8. I think I'm going to fly out for this fly out for this. I'll have to brush up on the language... I wonder if there's a London pub where Bills fans hang out?
  9. I was very drunk during those years…
  10. Brady* will always be Brady*.
  11. I was hoping he'd come here if Frazier got a HC gig somewhere.
  12. Ya know, I'll bet that would be a role he would excel at. Plus, then we could finally get rid of Lee Smith... err, I mean Bobby Hart... All kidding aside, don'tcha kinda miss Lee Smith...? I do.
  13. My MiL, and FiL are Patriots* fans...😕
  14. Given how limited Boogie's snaps are, especially for his rookie season (understandable, given we had 11 D-linesmen on the roster), I think he is a much better player than many give him credit.
  15. They don't get a cut, but they do get plenty of revenue from sponsorship-- ads, and such. Pretty good article right here: https://www.ridgedevilsadvocate.com/sports/2022/11/27/does-the-nfl-have-a-gambling-problem/
  16. After rewatching this game on NFL+, I find myself with a lot less to complain about than I did yesterday. In some ways, this game was a perfect example of the old axiom: On any given Sunday. Sometimes the ball bounces in your favor, and sometimes it doesn’t. Yesterday, It clearly bounced in the Dolphins favor, but the Bills held on regardless. Props to Mike McDaniel. They showed up to play, and McDaniel took a lot of risks to keep them in the game. By almost every metric, the Bills were clearly the better team, turnovers notwithstanding. The Bills’ total offense dwarfed the Dolphins’. The biggest issue was, of course, the turnovers, and it’s hard not to fault the O-line for that discrepancy. The Dolphins threw the kitchen sink at the Bills in this game. There were numerous times they played cover zero, and at times rushed as many as seven. (In fact, I think there was a play where the Fish rushed eight!) It was a seven man rush when Allen burned them on that 55 yard bomb to Diggs. That cover zero, sub zone look was used effectively last season during the Bills’ annual mid-season slump, but I think Dorsey, Allen, and the offense know how to answer that now. Some random thoughts on this game: IMO, the O-line, specifically the interior, was clearly the biggest issue in this game, and really for the whole season. But for all the complaints about the OL, they held up pretty well against multiple blitzes, including several seven-man rushes. For all those that have been calling for Cook over Motor, I believe that one does not replace the other. IMO, they are using them appropriately, and I think the TD with Cook, and the final play with Motor shows that. Motor was the right RB for that play, clearly. All that being said, Hines might be the best all-purpose back on the team. But I’m perfectly happy with the way these three are being used. I posited the question last week whether Knox could be mentioned in the conversation with some of the leagues best TEs, like Kelce, and Kittle. I’m beginning to think that he should be. It’s not just the big catches, and TDs that we all remember. He’s a complete TE that does everything a TE should really well. White’s been getting better every week. Elam is really developing into a special CB. Shakir hasn’t reached his ceiling. That’s great news for next season. Beasley still has it. In previous weeks, some posters have wondered if Davis is a WR who really shows up in the playoffs. And here he is! GO BILLS!!! EDIT: And not for nothing, the Bills emerged from this game relatively unscathed. The same cannot be said for the Bengals.
  17. NFL+ costs $100 bucks a year, and you can watch full replays, or condensed replays of all the games starting directly after they're finished-- commercial free.
  18. You literally can't find a fan forum for any team in the NFL that doesn't have posters complaining that the refs are working against them. Even Patriots* fans have these complaints. My conclusion: Officiating an NFL game is very messy, and difficult.
  19. I’m actually pretty happy about this. I’m a lifelong Bills fan, born and raised in Rochester, but I’ve lived in Los Angeles for 32 years. I follow the Rams and Chiefs, and I’ve appreciated how they’ve been developing. But I’ve also always sorta like Baker Mayfield— and I really can’t even say why… maybe it’s because of some of the situations that he had to endure in Cleveland, that I felt he handled with aplomb. Be that as it may, IMO, Mayfield landed in the perfect situation in LA, with a soon-to-be retired Stafford, and an HC that I feel has the ability to set him up to succeed. If Mayfield is smart (and I think he is), even if Stafford commits to another season, and Baker is asked to take a pay cut, he’ll stay in LA, and wait his turn.
  20. That was my assumption. What a weird situation. The Chiefs have been given such an advantage over the rest of the AFC. I also disagree with the entire premise of this thread. I think the number one priority coming out of this game (other than a win, of course) is to finish as healthy as possible. Chances are we will be facing an angry Bengals team next week, while the fully-rested Chiefs will play either the Jags, or the Chargers after what should be a hard-fought game.
  21. Question for those who know: Since the Bills have the tie-breaker over the Chiefs, assuming the Bills stomp the Fish, would that then make the Bills the #1 seed?
  22. It's really too early to be fretting over offseason resources. We have needs, sure. But we don't have that many needs. And the best asset we have in this regard is Brandon Beane, who has shown an incredible aptitude for moving around players, contracts, and numbers. Let's see where we stand after the playoffs are over. I have every bit of confidence in this regime to continue to build this team.
  23. Hines has been the best P/KR we've had since Andre Roberts. That was evident in his first game. Though I will say, I'm not too concerned with whether he gets more touches on offense, as some on this thread are. Devon Hester was one of the best P/KRs (certainly the best punt returner) of all time. As a WR, he was... pretty good. I once avoided being hit by a dump truck by hiding on the sidewalk.
  24. Part of it too is that now that the Pats* season is over, so are their practices, while the Bills will be practicing for as long as they're in the playoffs. I read an article several years back about how during the Patriots* two decades of dominance, just how many more practices they got over the other teams in the division. I wish I could remember how many that came out to, but it was a very large number. They add up, and that extended practice schedule really fosters continuity. And of course, there's Josh Allen. No more QB controversies, or QB "competitions" wasting time in TC. I read the Pats* forums as well, and some of the arguments for, and against Mac & Cheese Jones are so reminiscent of Bills' QBs past-- "... we need to see what we have in him..." "... the jury is still out..." "... we can win with him..." "...we need to give him more weapons..." "...the OC isn't play calling to his strengths..." "... he can excel in the proper system..." I'd feel sorry for them if it wasn't the Patriots*.
