Game Thread: Miami at Kansas City - Peacock exclusive

Playoff Mahomes vs. Playoff Tua. -
I admire Flacco for what he's accomplished this season. That being said-- it's so easy to root against the Browns. And the Texans are a pretty fun team. GO TEXANS

Just for future reference, this (and the new stadium) is why you elect a Bills fan for governor. -

If you turn on Redzone right now, you might think Bill Belichick* just died. It's like a eulogy. -

Was it a slap in the face of Mac & Cheese Jones that he was inactive vs. the Jets in the last game of the season (and possibly Jones' career)? I remember a shot of Jones last week on the sideline, with his helmet on, getting in Bill O'Brian's ear. I was wondering if he wasn't saying, "put me in coach..." Jones is a dirty QB with no character, and no spine. I think Belichick* has thrown him in the trash. -
Random talking head says something about the Bills

Nick Wright is not exactly known for being objective. Objectively obnoxious, perhaps. -
Khalil Shakir reminds me of Sanders a bit.

That podcast with Edelman certainly didn't help. Tre White forgave him because that's the person he is. Gronk has continued to be a dick about it because that's the person he is. -

Tre White is beloved. Gronk can suck an egg. -
LA doesn't care about the Chargers

The should move to Fresno. Two words: tax incentives. Plus, when the high-speed rail finally gets built, there would be an actual reason to visit Fresno. -
So, you’re saying he may not be a Process Guy?

To my mind, “washed” would imply being worn out, right? But he’s only 30, which really isn’t too old for an OT. If he experienced a significant decline in play from his time in Dallas, one wonders what other issues there might have been, and can he be fixed?

Well, I suppose an article featured in "Wisconsin Sports Heroics," titled, "Green Bay Packers Expected To Sign Buffalo Bills 24-year-old Star Weapon (Report)," containing only blithe conjecture, and written by a die-hard Packers fan, with an associates degree in General Studies is exactly the reason Simon created this thread. -
He falls down a lot.

Why is it so hard for fans to admit reality?

Here's a funny little LAMP: I live in Los Angeles, and work in the motion picture industry in set lighting. A couple years ago, I did one of her music videos, and yeah... she's hot, and a legit musician. Also super nice. -
Dallas @ Miami Weird to say this on the first drive of the first quarter, but... Dallas just lost this game.

I agree. The notion that Harris was an upgrade, or even a lateral move, was ridiculous to me. They had almost identical stats in many categories, including ypc, but Harris did that on the Pat*, who were predicated on the run. And the one category where Motor was far better was the simple stat of availability. I don't believe Harris has gone one entire season without missing game, but Motor routinely got mashed, and would pop right back up like he was made of rubber. I'm definitely a fan of his. But, I also suspect the main reason he was cut was his lack of receiving skills, and his poor drop rate. I know that on paper, his drop rate wasn't so bad, but I do believe that several of his drops came on check downs. You can't drop check-downs on a spread offense!

There are two kinds of bounce in football-- lucky ones, and unlucky ones. -

I was there too. It is a gorgeous stadium. I think we can agree that the Chargers' fan base was pathetic, though. Pretty embarrassing when the opposing team (from 2,500 miles away) has a louder fan base than the home team. I also didn't much care for the way the Chargers' production team directs the game day experience. They try to go for this young, nightclub vibe, with Esther Anaya as their deejay, and all the very loud house music. Very different, I thought, from the Rams games at SoFi. -

There's been a lot of complaining about Martin on these pages recently, and I don't get it. He was certainly solid yesterday, including booming a 60 yarder out of the end zone. Tough to do. -

Bills @ Chargers post game thread
Rocky Landing replied to Fan in Chicago's topic in The Stadium Wall
I liked hearing Oliver talk about Poona. I was at the game, and I didn't even realize that he had gotten that sack-- I thought it was Oliver. The emcee at SoFi literally did not even mention a single Bills player's name once. It will be interesting to see how my perceptions at the stadium match up to what was presented on TV.
