  1. I don't mind saying it one bit. I would take Fitz over any one of our quarterbacks.
  2. I have this weird, optimistic delusion that Kujo is going to miraculously change from Venus DeMilo into an incarnation of Cerberus. I'm usually dead wrong about every prediction I make, and I've generally learned to discount my gut feelings. But, I can't shake this one. Kujo's going to completely turn it around this season. Word.
  3. Actually, I think that if you look at the recent history of the way Washington have treated their quarterbacks, including their appalling treatment of Donovan McNabb in 2010, the argument could certainly be made that it is the culture in Washington that damages quarterbacks.
  4. Remind me again, what is EJ good at? Should we include the three knee injuries in his first year as "stats?"
  5. Do you think that there is any possibility that RG3's rookie year was not a fluke, but that there may be a reason for his decline since?
  6. Here's an article from January. Word is he is being selective. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/27/jim-schwartz-being-selective-about-next-opportunity/
  7. Oddly, I have to say that this is the best post I have read for making the case that Tyrod could start. It's easy to forget that EJ had three knee injuries in his first season, but, it's not helpful. A lot of hay has been made regarding the notion of Marrone "holding EJ back," regarding the read option, and his ability to extend plays, and run the ball. But, seriously-- three knee injuries, both knees, in his rookie year! People on this board love to accuse others of refusing to acknowledge EJ's numbers, and how "his stats are better in his first 14 games than many of the greats," (to quote Alphadawg7), yet they act as if those three knee injuries never happened. They did! If accuracy issues are able to be overcome (many on this site have posited that they are not), then Tyrod, and EJ are on equal footing. Neither have shown themselves to be accurate to date. But, in terms of the read option, and the ability to run? Advantage: Taylor. Also, let's not forget: Rex has spoken very highly of Tyrod. Of EJ? Not so much. All that being said, Cassel is still the odds-on favorite to start.
  8. We are paper champions!!!
  9. I'm ignoring the pundits who are saying we over-spent on Clay, that we haven't properly addressed the QB situation, that we have no chance of over-taking the Pats*, that we will finish third, or fourth in the division, and every other negative, anti-Bill, steaming pile of punditry. And, I'm going to ignore this, too. It seems like we "win" the offseason every year. We are an "offseason dynasty."
  10. Something missing from this list... can't quite put my finger on it...
  11. I have a few thoughts on this thread. First, the OP is rolling the dice on a long shot that could net him a lot of credibility if it hits. Second, let's knock it off with this term, "all in." It especially doesn't apply to this situation. Are we EVER going to throw the ball? Yes? Then we're not "all in." We're going to balance our approach in a way that maximizes our strengths which are being built around a strong running offense. If Cassel, or EJ, or (however unlikely) Taylor start throwing bullets, you can bet we will shift the balance in that direction. "All in" suggest that there is no turning back. That is the nature of an "all in" bet. Third, (assuming we're using betting vernacular) I would think that Cassel would be, at this point, the odds-on favorite to start.
  12. Awesome. Now where the hell is our new OG???
  13. This is a relief to me. I was always a big SJ fan. It would have been rough seeing him in a Pats* uniform.
  14. Love them both, but SJ is a better WR. And, he'll have a better QB throwing to him. So, if they're both #4s, respectively, SJ by 300-400 yards.
  15. We should absolutely kick the tires on him. There was a time that pundits were using the term, "elite," with him. And, it wasn't that long ago. In fact, his numbers for 2012 were pretty damn good. I say, lets fill the room, and kick out those we like the least.
  16. I just don't see EJ as the front runner. Especially given the lukewarm comments Rex has made about him. I don't think we are going to see EJ on the field beyond preseason, until Ndamukong Suh steps on Cassle's throat.
  17. Great. Now where the hell is our new guard???
  18. True. But, I still hold that he has little chance of making the 53.
  19. If this is true, I hope it will be because EJ has improved enormously, and not that Cassel stinks on ice.
  20. He will never make the 53. The Pats* will mine him for information, and cut him loose.
  21. I personally think from what little we saw of him last season, that Grey is the real deal. He could end up our #1, in my unhinged opinion.
  22. I'm glad we didn't go after him. Not worth the price, or the hype.
  23. I think this is good news. isn... I always liked him, but unless he fell over in the right direction, he wasn't any good for YAC. I don't think this in any way guarantees that we draft a TE. Grey, IMO, is the real deal. I think we are going to draft BPAs.
  24. Actually, not a whole lot has changed with ACL replacement in the last decade. The remains of the torn ACL are cleaned out, and then another one (usually from a cadaver) is threaded in in its place. A new ACL grows around the cadaver ligament. For the first few months, or so, the new ligament actually gets weaker, as the body rids itself of the graft, while the new one grows. It's usually a few months or more before someone can run. Rushing rehab can really mess up the new ACL.
