  1. To be fair, that article is ten months old, which is far longer than any fanatic's attention span-- at least in regards to anything negative about EJ.
  2. I agree with this. And, Rivers is accurate. I'm looking forward to seeing how he does.
  3. Especially since he is Rex's boy. Is anyone else getting a little annoyed that Rex keeps replacing mediocre Bills players with mediocre Jets players?
  4. That makes sense. But, I more or less take him at his word, here. The atmosphere in SD regarding their stadium, and the possibility they could move is pretty similar to the mood in Buffalo when the specter of moving to Toronto, or LA, was very real.
  5. This will be fun to watch-- especially if you are right. I certainly understand how NO would be a better system for him to flourish. But, 750 yards on the ground and 75 catches? Does that mean he gets targeted, like 125 times? I just don't think he's that good or has that much stamina.
  6. They've got them in SD.
  7. If that were true, why would he be trying to sell himself as someone not wanting to move? "What we've established here with my growing family is hard to recreate," he said. "It's hard to up and recreate that. I know that moves are part of life. But that certainly is fair to say that (not being sold on moving to Los Angeles) is part of it. The good thing is I'm not under contract in a year where we'd potentially be in Los Angeles." If he's trying to drum up interest for another team, that would be a funny way of going about it.
  8. This must have been covered in the previous 20 pages in this thread, but Rivers is reticent to sign a contract extension (should one be offered) because he is wary of the prospect of moving his wife, seven kids, and himself to Los Angeles, from San Diego. What would make any sane person think that he would be willing to move them to Buffalo?
  9. You don't think Bradley, or Olsen might have something to say about that?
  10. This thread reminds me of a houseplant I have. That thing just won't die!
  11. Part of this "creeping doubt" is on the media. Phrases like, "the Bills quarterback situation is a shield-your-eyes mess," and "a monumental concern," and "they all had moments that ranged from mediocre to awful,” and, "a crap sandwich with heartbreak and disgust for condiments," have dominated the sports-media conversation for much of the offseason. But, such statements are just hyperbole that beat sports writers rely upon to fuel interest in their reporting. They're just creating drama, which is their stock in trade-- something to keep us on the edge of our seats. They'll balance this with feel-good stories about Rex Ryan knocking back beers with Jim Kelly, Mario hawking breakfast cereal for kids with cancer, and Shady McCoy race-baiting Chip Kelly. It's all just talk.
  12. Did you know that the Ohio State Flower is the Red Carnation? Here's a bunch of them covering a dead elephant, which is kind of like a buffalo. Ooooh!!! Good one! YOLO in Ohio, YODO in Buffalo!
  13. I don't even know, but were Ingram or Hightower present for OTAs? Would he be on the field more than either of those RBs? 70 catches??? That seems pretty steep. Like really, really steep.
  14. Spiller could very well be third down the depth chart in NO. Second, at best. Maybe they'll put him on special teams? I have a hard time seeing Chandler doing anything special in NE. Gronk is the healthiest he's been in three years. Houmanawanui is still there and they drafted a rookie of prototypical size that should be every bit as mediocre as Chandler. I wouldn't be surprised to see him not make the 53. Byrd's been a Saint for a season, now. He shouldn't be in this poll. Eric Pears is climbing aboard a sinking ship. Jeff Tuel won't have much of an impact holding a clipboard-- assuming he is allowed that privilege. The Raiders are moving in the right direction. But, Lee Smith won't likely be above second on the depth chart. Plus, he's Lee Smith. Kiko, Stevie, and D'Norris could all have an immediate impact on the teams with which they have signed. Stevie could have a great season with the Chargers. I could absolutely see him getting in a groove with Rivers-- they seem like a good match to me. Considering how effectively Chip Kelly is dismantling his offense in search of a particular "culture," Kiko could see the field a lot. And he is Kiko. Searcy could also have an immediate impact in Tennessee, and I think he will likely be a starter. I Voted D'Norris, because nobody was giving him any love.
  15. Here's a buffalo queuing up to be slaughtered at the Boss Bison Ranch in Cadiz, Ohio.
  16. How about this totally sweet Black Buffalo Fish caught in... Ohio???
  17. Another famous Ohioan: Sarah Jessica Parker!
  18. I think this only means it's a competition. It's great that Kujo would be able to pull himself up from his bust of a rookie year, and it speaks very well to his character, but I wouldn't put much stock in him being ahead of Seantrel until the pads go on.
  19. Ulysses S. Grant. Another famous Ohioan!
  20. It's Orville Wright, famous Ohioan.
  21. Finally, something we can all agree on. (started on the premise of a completely bogus article, no less...)
  22. Are you suggesting that we are going to win fewer than eight games this season? You know that you're not talking hypotheticals at this point? Be that as it may, I do NOT believe in sacrificing one season for the next. I don't believe we would be better off had we finished with a losing record, and I believe that building a winning culture will do more to develop this team, and any QB we may on the team, be they on the bench, or on the field.
  23. I'll go for a winning culture. Every time.
