  1. It's not unlikely that one of the AFC wildcards will be 8-8, and not unlikely that neither will be better than 9-7. Pats* notwithstanding, our schedule isn't any harder than the Raiders, is easier than the Steelers, and only a little harder than the Jets, IMO. We're in a pretty good spot, at the moment.
  2. This crossed my mind during the game, as well. And not one from Hughes!
  3. Corey Graham also made some crucial tackles. He brings it every week, and has a knack for being in the right place at the right time.
  4. Nothing beats the Bills' Blue.
  5. Oh, that's right. Bob Woods plays for us.
  6. Different quarterbacks do get treated differently by the refs, and for good reason. I recall Vick complaining that he wouldn't get the roughing the passer calls other QBs would get. Obviously, that was a result of Vick's style, and I suspect that there is that sort of judgment being applied here, and rightfully so. That play probably would have been called a sack on other QBs, including Brady. But, the refs know that TT has far more ability to escape a sack than most QBs and were willing to give him the chance. If Suh is a little gun-shy in how punishing he is to the QB, based on his past performances, and subsequent fines, and suspensions, he has nobody to blame but himself. And, the majority of those instances occurred after the whistle was blown. That's what has made Suh one of the dirtiest players in the league. But, nobody was stopping Suh from wrapping up TT, other than his own inability, and TT's ability. Suh knows how to make a legal sack without "slamming the f**k"out of the quarterback. The refs made the right call, imo.
  7. I agree with most of this. BUT, I would say it's a bit premature to start planning for next year's draft. Kujo has improved enormously from last season, and the few snaps he saw yesterday, stupid penalty notwithstanding, he wasn't bad. Has he reached his ceiling? I don't think so. Miller was out yesterday. Has he reached his ceiling? Obviously not. Incognito is playing great. Wood played better yesterday (I thought), but he's just not great. Glenn has, perhaps, reached his ceiling. But, he's looked better than he did yesterday. Is he just inconsistent? Yes, we should draft O-line. But, at the end of training camp, you can only have so many O-linesmen on the team. How many rookies are going to make up this unit? Which vets do we drop? I feel like several on the team have room to grow, and will. And, all of these conversation may be completely irrelevant by January.
  8. Maybe it's because their mascot is a revolutionary soldier that fought the British?
  9. That first drive where we scored our first touchdown must have been garbage time. Otherwise, there's no way we could have scored.
  10. I'd go for Taylor. I'm guessing he's going to be here longer. I'm going to disagree with your pessimism with my own brand of pessimism. Thought this was kind of funny, though: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25300852/look-lesean-mccoy-organizes-chip-kelly-rejects-picture
  11. When did this site become so morose? Was it the Dick Jauron era? Our third or fourth Superbowl loss?
  12. I've actually been kind of a Fitz fan. But, I have to say that he was terrible vs. the Colts. His long ball is beyond terrible. I don't even think he looks where he's trying to throw it-- he just heaves it and hopes for the best.
  13. Frankly, I think this was started as an EJ thread. Quote from the OP: "If your QB can't make up his mind and your OL can't protect you are out of the conversation." As if there is still a quarterback competition. (I suppose there is in some people's minds.) Three posts later, the bait had been taken, and the conversation had turned into TT vs EJ. It only took one loss for this crap to emerge.
  14. I know what you mean. I found myself doing the same thing. But, I have to say-- The Colts handed them that game. On a platter.
  15. Thank you for my new avatar.
  16. I have to say, I feel a little naive that I'm surprised that it took all of one loss for the EJ fanatics to start calling for Tyrod's head. Tyrod is the real deal. As tough as this loss was to watch, at no point did I see Tyrod lose his head, or composure. He kept us in the game right until the end. We scored 32 points, FFS! This thread is infuriating. Every EJ fan on this thread has lost all credibility, as they are guilty of exactly what they complained about regarding EJ's benching.
  17. Congratulations.
  18. Here are my five keys to beating the Pats*: Score more points. Uh... That's really all I got... ... ... ...
  19. White on white, after Labor Day??? How gauche!
  20. Everyone order your balloons today! http://www.amazon.com/Woodi-Inches-Assorted-Balloons-Quality/dp/B00O2TK3NO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1442444794&sr=8-3&keywords=balloons
  21. A cool sort of protesty, kind of performance arty thing would be for as many people in the stands as possible (preferably in the thousands) to show up with a balloon. Everyone blows up their balloon right before the coin flip. Then, as soon as each side is walking back towards their respective sidelines, everyone deflates their balloon at the same time. Could even let them fly. That would be pretty funny.
  22. Well, only if you consider $1 million, a 2016 1st round draft pick, and a 2017 4th round pick "nothing"...
  23. Well, to be fair, I think this must have been a difficult article for this guy to write, because his keys were all sticky.
  24. Jax would be a good first game back. Not so much pressure. Miami is important.
