This is one of the character guys that you really want to succeed. At least for me. I tend to value character in my team. I find i easier to be a fan of guys that I respect off the field, as well as on. Not sure Rex feels the same way...

Really, as this all sinks in, it gets me a little pissed off. Last season is when this should have happened. Last season is when we should have made the playoffs. Honestly, my hopes for this season are not very high (like they were last season). At this point, this feels more like it is about Goodell's legacy than it is about Brady's. Maybe I'll feel differently after lunch.

You're right. I'm not thinking straight.
-
No... but that would be awesome.
-
From the Pats* perspective, I would think they would prefer Brady missing three home games, to missing three road games.

Congress will probably shift in their priorities for confirming a Supreme Court nominee to replace Scaiia. Rather than using issues like abortion rights, and the second amendment as a litmus test, nominees will be peppered with questions about Brady, and their views on the ideal gas law.

Patriots release Dominique Easley

Not if they want to keep working, they won't. -
I could not even hazard a guess at the number of stupid things I have done in my lifetime-- including playing with fireworks. If you are one of the few people in the world who never does anything stupid, or dangerous (I assume such people are extremely rare, as I have never met one), then bravo! I expect you may lead a long, and boring life, assuming you can avoid all of the random illnesses, and calamities that happen even to people who live "safe," and "intelligent" lives. I suppose you can count me along with the JPPs of the world as someone who will occasionally take a risk, even for a mild thrill, and hope for the best. Life is short. But, it might seem long, and tiresome were it not for the occasional joyride. Please don't speak ill of me when I accidentally blow my nuts off.

Patriots release Dominique Easley
Rocky Landing replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is a pretty interesting article. Really makes you wonder what the whole story is. Described in the Boston press as a "locker room cancer," and a "turd." And then another source described as "a prominent leader," calls him a "great guy, and teammate," as reported by NBC Sports. Makes for some interesting, offseason conspiracy theory. It could just be the Boston press overstating his negatives, as their beloved Pats* can do no wrong. But, does anyone doubt the notion that the Patriots*, as an organization, could run a smear campaign against another player for reasons ranging from petty anger, to trying to keep him out of the division? But, it we gave him a shot, he wouldn't be the first problem child to be given a second chance for redemption in Buffalo. Just look at Cog. -
Bills among teams with shrinking "middle class"

Bills get a 'B' in free agency so far

I want to respond that our biggest loss was keeping Rex Ryan. But, that would make me a hater, and I don't want to be that. -
Are the Dolphins a concern for you?
Rocky Landing replied to gr8billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IMO, Mario will play like he has something to prove-- because he does. And, he has the ability. I think it's foolish to judge him based only on last season when he did, apparently, quit. -

Trade Tyrod for Kaepernick? Let me think about that for a minute... ...NO. -

Mario to sign with Miami? [UPDATE: Signed]
Rocky Landing replied to boater's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Certainly a fair assessment. And, I wouldn't see any reason to believe that he would return to form next season playing for the same DC and HC. That being said, I hate that he went to Miami, because I also don't see any reason why he couldn't return to form somewhere else, and it would suck if that place is Miami. Writers who aren't Bills fans (or Jets fans, for that matter) don't understand a lot about Rex Ryan. -
Odds that Whaley does a "Sammy" in the draft?
Rocky Landing replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are you suggesting there is a QB in this draft worth more than our current 19th pick? That's a pretty complicated question, really. In the unlikely event Wentz became available beyond the second pick, how much sacrifice would he be worth? Seems like he was barely on anybody's radar until the combine. Goff? Is he worth more than our 19th? -
MarQueis Gray won't be back with Bills
Rocky Landing replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a shame he lost last season to injury. I was really looking forward to see what his contribution would have been. I think he's a really interesting player with a versatile skill set, and an admirable character. Sorry to see him go. -
I would prefer not to share your pessimistic, cynical viewpoint. Let me reiterate: I would prefer not to share, your pessimistic, cynical viewpoint, regardless of how rational, or historically relevant it might be, i would prefer to look forward to the possibilities that things could, in a way, move forward to a more...... sh*t.....

There's an argument to be made. If Mario had played (been allowed to play?) as well as he did the season prior, how would this play out? And, how much would he be worth?
-
I think I recall someone floating the idea in a different thread that Gilmore should be traded, and either Cromartie, or a draft pick should replace him. A terrible idea, sure, but it is a conversation. And, I also recall numerous posts during the regular season shouting about how Tyrod was "not the answer." I can only assume that there are plenty of people who still feel that way, and I think it's an interesting conversation to find out who they would prefer. That is the conversation I wanted to start. Plus, Tyrod could always slip on a rubber mat...
-
Well, sure. But the poll isn't who will (obviously) be our starter, but who should (in your opinion) be our starter. This is purely a poll of what you would like to see. Not what you will likely see. Rex Ryan will be our HC... (And Firechan, always the pot-stirrer, voted for Carson Wentz. Not everyone loves TT!)

I know it's a little early for any sort of speculation. But, being so early in the season, things are as open, and as up-in-the-air as they will ever be. So, I thought this might be an interesting poll-- especially if people are willing to elaborate. The options include our current roster, the top eight draft prospects, and the top eight free agents. Who should be our starting, and back up quarterbacks for 2016?
