  1. One of the most bizarre things I have ever read on this site. OP: "1 + 1 = 1.75" TBD: "No! 1 + 1 = 2" OP: "No, if the first one were the same as the last one, then the other isn't worth as much, so the second one isn't one." TBW: Tries to explain the math behind 1 + 1 = 2. All explanations are, of course, more complicated than the initial concept of 1 + 1 = 2, which does not deter anyone from flexing their mathematic prowess on the finer points, and logic behind 1 + 1 = 2. OP: "...nuh uh!" I'm pretty sure this is all parody... But, I'm not 100% sure... Somebody help me!!!
  2. Regarding Shady: He also threw down a couple of outstanding blocks during this game. And, Aaron Williams also had a great game.
  3. Isn't the "rex is an idiot" idea being discussed in, like, every other thread?
  4. I'm not upset by Hughs' penalties at all, today. If Palmer's helmet hadn't come off on that one sack, the penalty never would have been called. It looked like bad luck to me n the replay. He didn't really grab the helmet-- it just got swept off, and the refs will almost always throw a flag if the QBs helmet comes off. Kujo's another story. But, I'm happy with his progress, otherwise.
  5. Gotta give it up for Graham, too. He had some great plays, and was a difference maker. Loved seeing him get a sack. As Bill from NYC often pointed out: Graham gives 110% every play. And, while on the subject of safeties: AW is back! Like many on here, I was concerned that he would play scared this season, and became even more suspicious when in an interview, he talked about playing "smart," and less physical. Well, those fears are allayed, big time.
  6. FWIW, Hogan started the last two games (ahead of Amendola).
  7. I started to think, "Oh, thank goodness, somebody is finally posting something optimisti... oh, I get it..." To this forum's credit, it is not quite as depressing as the Rams fan forums I have been loath to frequent (but still do- LA resident, ya know), if for no other reason than the football IQ on here is double-digits higher. But, still: Jeezus this place has gotten depressing!!!
  8. Man, you are always looking for an opportunity to turn the key on the EJ train. But, I do believe that train has left the station.
  9. Is Lynn taking over at quarterback???
  10. I've been rooting for Kujo ever since I found out how he spent his first offseason. He's worked his ass off to improve, and he's improving. He looks to be better this season than he was last season, and he was certainly better last season than he was his first (which, albeit, isn't saying much). But, there's no reason to believe he's reached his ceiling, is there?
  11. The term "focal point" is a little too vague for me. But, I am one of the people who has been arguing that he will become a big part of their offense, and that he is a perfect fit in NE*. I have also (as a "bold prediction") said that he will surpass Amendola in targets, and could very well threaten Edelman for targets. Sure, he only had four targets-- in his first game. But, what he did in those plays surely got the attention of Bellichick* and Brady*. Did either of you guys expect him to have the impact he did with Garopolo throwing him the ball? (Or, even if had been Brady*?)
  12. I re-watched that movie recently, and was kinda surprised at how poorly it has withstood the test of time. Caddy Shack, for example (a movie made around the same time), is still really, really funny. Animal House? Not so much. Turns out that racist jokes, jokes about rape, statutory rape, underage drinking, and the injustice of rich kids not being allowed to destroy school, and public property aren't really funny anymore. Or, to put it another way, about as funny as Tyrod being planted on his head with his ass up in the air.
  13. Jesus, this game was a drag to watch. No amount of Genesee Cream Ale could make that game fun.
  14. You mean the Browns aren't going to make it to the playoffs???
  15. If the point of this thread is that the Bills were about as well prepared for the Ravens, as the Pearl Harbor Navel Base was for a massive Japanese air assault in December of 1941, then I would have to agree.
  16. i very much doubt that. Hogan won't be less of a fit when Brady returns.
  17. That's very true. For example: We're not the Browns! (Although, they may have a better season than us...)
  18. For me, it's gotta be the front seven. It's a big bag of question marks. How will Lorenzo Alexander do opposite Hughs? How will Kyle bounce back from surgery? How much better will Preston handle communication? How well will Adolphus play? How much will we miss Dareus? Will our pass rush improve? Etc, etc...
  19. It's a fine line between bold and crazy...
  20. A question on Gay: after four games, if they bring back Seantrel, will Gay still be PS eligible?
  21. I hadn't even thought about the potential of this game as "pivotal" in relation to the Ravens being a potential competitor for a wild card spot down the road. Man, it sucks looking at every season in terms of "will this be the year we get the wild card." Regarding the silence regarding Seantrel: his suspension also frees up a spot for the next four weeks which was immediately filled by Gay. And, we don't really need Seantrel, yet. Is that just a little bit convenient?
