Who all's going to the tailgate?

I'll be at the game and at the tailgate near the Shrine, beforehand. Did you get your tickets for the tailgate?

I live in LA (and will be at the game next Sunday), so I've been trying to pay attention to them, more or less. I believe Quick is their #3 WR, at this point. I think they are considering Austin to be their #1, at the moment, because the just overpaid the crap out of him. Kenny Britt is #2, but is the better WR, IMO. All in all, they might have the worst stable of WRs in the league.

Wow. Two seasons ago, who'da thought we'd rather have Lorenzo Alexander over Mario Williams?

I think some props have to be given to Lorenzo Alexander. He was more of a presence than Hughs in this game, IMO. He was also great on ST. He had a truly great game. I wonder what happens when Lawson finally arrives? Props also to Nick O'Leary. He's looking more and more like the real deal. His blocking is also stellar. And, I had no idea he could high-point a ball like that! Awesome. Speaking of blocking, it seems to be looking really good all around. Woods, Felton, Shady-- I even saw Goodwin throw a block out there. Woods, especially, had some fantastic blocks. Really impressive. Great coaching in that regard.

Lorenzo Alexander was a BEAST today- on D, and ST. A three-man pass rush all day, and we still knocked the hell out of Brisket.

He and a defender got in each other's face, and Cog pushed him. Kinda stupid. He had way too many penalties today. On the bright side, Hughs didn't have any!

Also, O'Leary. Had those two great catches, and great blocking. And, MAN, Woods is one Hell-of-a blocker! Yes! Yes it was!

Not to take away from this win, or anything, but I started to get the impression that the Pats* were playing this game to preserve their stars for Brady's* return. Edelman was targeted how many times, six? Gronk, I think, two. Hogan twice. And little to no urgency late in the game.

This is an amusing thread. But, if I may take it seriously for a moment... On offense: -Convert on third down. -Control the clock. -Do not let Belichick* control the tempo. On defense: -Pressure the QB (obviously), but more importantly, -Stop Blount. -Please, Rex, don't try to outsmart Belichick* with stupid, "exotic" schemes! If I see Hughs chasing Gronk downfield again, I'll need to purchase a new TV on Monday. I can't afford it!

We're talking about Duke Williams, the back up safety for the Bills, not the WR for the Rams, right? We've seen Duke make some real bone-headed plays in Buffalo.

In all seriousness (and I can't believe I am actually asking this question), please, you, or 4merhad2mer, or anyone else, explain to me a scenario in which we would be saying, "Gosh, if only we had lost to the Cardinals, we'd be in the playoffs..." (hint: such a scenario doesn't exist!!!) Oh, Jezus Christ... I've been sucked in!... How did this happen???

This looked like a pivotal game for AW to me. There's a point after a scary injury like AW had that some athletes don't get over. This seemed like the game where he exorcised those ghosts.

My wife, and her extended family are from Boston (all Pats* fans), so we spend a bit of time in that neck of the woods every year. And, from what I've seen, I would definitely agree with you. No one up there has a clue.

How awesome would it be if Rex got up in front of the podium and said, "I'm just here so I won't get fined...?"
