  1. I don't believe I have ever witnessed a crusader as relentless as you on this site. C.Biscuit used to be exceptionally rabid regarding EJ, but you make him look like a slacker. IMO, and only time will tell, Mahommes is a long shot, and about the third best QB in this rather weak QB draft. But, I have no real certainty in my opinion. In fact, I would not trust a professional scout who exhibited half the certainty in their opinion that you do in yours. Which is fine, of course. But, if you cut down your pro-Mahommes posts by two thirds, we'd all still get the picture.
  2. This is one of the better fan analyses I've read. I think I'm less high on Mahommes than many on here. I don't think I have witnessed as effective a crusade on this site than I have regarding Mahommes. But, I mostly agree with everything you've said.
  3. A return to the dominance of our front four.
  4. It would likely involve cheating.
  5. Chargers at Stubhub Center. 29,000 seat stadium. Front section, 10 yard line. Should be fun. Hopefully, there will be a decent tailgate that will exceed the disaster at last year's Rams game.
  6. I think you are over-simplifying our sad existence.
  7. I feel like you're dramatically overstating your perception of Seymour. I just don't think he had enough opportunities on the first unit defense, and I don't think there is enough of a body of regular season work to make such absolute pronouncements-- especially considering the buzz he received in the preseason regarding his athleticism, and the potential that he showed. I also don't think you can say that he is only useful as a nickel, as that was the only position he was used for outside of special teams last season. Assuming we draft a CB (safe assumption?), I believe that Seymour will be on equal footing in competition to start opposite Darby, unless maybe we end up with Lattimore. Even then, I wouldn't count him out. I think Seymour is better than you are giving him credit. But, then again, I am usually wrong about such things...
  8. I'll be psyched to watch the Bills @ Chargers in a 29,000 seat soccer stadium in the shade, lower section, 10 yard line.
  9. I remember Rex throwing Darby into preseason games and put him in very difficult, man coverages that were clear mismatches. There was a lot of talk about these intentional mismatches, as I recall, in the post-game pressers. I also recall Rex talking up Seymour in the preseason, and beyond, especially as a nickel back.
  10. Glad someone started this thread. I feel like one of the very few things that Rex did right was properly develop Darby. Rex had good instincts regarding him and they paid off. I suspect that he had the same sort of plans for Seymour. He showed the same kind of promise that Darby did, but didn't have the same opportunity because of Gilmore's presence. Pundits seem fairly united in the idea that CB is one of our top two needs. Certainly, we are shallow in that regard, but I have high hopes for Seymour. And for Darby, for that matter. I have posted on this site that I believe that Darby is every bit the CB that Gilmore is. I have been flamed for the remark, but stand by that opinion. I also believe that Seymour has that same potential. I submit that CB is not quite the dire need that pundits claim it to be.
  11. Most players are, somehow...
  12. Considering the draft has yet to happen, this post really doesn't make a lot of sense. He spent his rookie year as our #3, and has yet to be cut. TC hasn't started yet, so there hasn't been any competition. They have cut EJ, and it has been widely speculated that the main reason Yeats is here is because of his familiarity with the yet to be installed offense-- there is no guarantee he will be on the roster come September. And, what if they don't draft a QB? Given the above points, what information do you have to suggest that the Bills are not satisfied with the speed of Jones' progression?
  13. i'm very glad they kept Tyrod. Dumping him would have put us in the same position that got us EJ. If TT is a "bridge QB," (which I don't believe is a given) then so be it. Better than having no bridge at all. Personally, I'm preferring Kizer at this point as a draft prospect. And hopefully not before round 3. I'm also looking forward to whatever competition Cardale offers in TC. And I think that Chad Kelly as a UDFA would be fun. That is all.
  14. One of the more sensible responses in this thread.
  15. I strongly suspect that Whaley is generally better respected outside of the Bills' fan base.
  16. I would like to see Dick Jauron walking out Terrell Owens on a leash. That would be fun.
  17. The post I was responding to: And, I recall most pundits saying last year that this year was going to be a weak QB class. My point stands.
  18. Did they say this in 2012? '15? Or last year? Nope.
  19. Really. "Off the top of your head?" Again, is there some inside info you are privy to? Or are you basing your opinion off the quarter of meaningless football vs. the Jets and maybe that article from over a year ago that cd1 posted as "proof" of Jones having no future potential? Off the top of your head... The certainty with which many of the posters in this thread have stated their opinions off the top of their heads, while offering no evidence whatsoever is bizarre. Off the top of your head has no credibility.
  20. I have a very hard time believing that any team, including the Bills, is going to draft a QB prospect that not only has the off-field issues that CK has had, but has also had two ACL replacements, recent hernia surgery, and most recently surgery to an injured throwing hand that will keep him from even throwing a football until late July at the earliest. That being said, I hope we sign him as a UDFA, and stick him on the practice squad. Nothing to lose.
  21. The pronouncements regarding Cardale on this forum are a bit crazy. When he was drafted last year, he was accurately described as an extremely raw prospect with high potential. Since then, no one outside of the Bills organization has seen enough of him to know how far he has progressed, or if he is on track to make a leap in 2017. This is a situation where we have to trust the FO, and coaching staff. They cut EJ. They didn't cut Cardale. I'm assuming that we start TC with four QBs, whether we pick one up in FA, or the draft. If Cardale makes it onto the 53, I will assume that McD, et al, still see potential, and we may have something special in Cardale Jones.
  22. Clearly? 67 games isn't a large enough sample size to see that she is mediocre, at best?
  23. One career interception in 67 games? He ain't no Stephon Gilmore.
