  1. UDFA and stick him on the PS?
  2. High risk/high reward vs. low risk/low reward. Do you think it is possible that TT would risk $10mil to be a starter? And, do you think it is possible that TT saw Buffalo as his best chance at being a starter?
  3. Let's be clear about what I said. I was responding to your assertion that, "It is beyond me that anyone can honestly say EJ is better than TJ. EJ is an automatic loss if he starts." Did I say EJ was a good QB? NO. Do I think TJ is a good QB? NO. Do I think one is better than the other? I don't really know the answer to that question. But, I do know this: TJ Yeats' stats suck donkey balls. And, if somebody drew the conclusion that EJ > TJ, I can certainly understand why, and I don't understand how that would be "beyond you." His numbers are better, period. If somebody thinks that TJ > EJ, I'd love to know the rationale, and "EJ is just a bad QB" doesn't cut it.
  4. Remember when Kujo was called "Venus De Milo" by the O-line coach during his rookie season?
  5. TJ does have a negative TD to Int ratio (6:8). Not much of a sample size, but... yeesh! Really? Look at their numbers: EJ: 17 starts (29 games); 19 TDs, 15 Ints; 58.3 completion %; 77.5 career rating TJ: 7 starts (18 games); 6 TDs, 8 Ints; 58.1 completion %; 72.8 career rating And, please don't tell some malarkey about the "eyeball test," or some such nonsense, unless you can honestly tell me you're an avid Houston fan and never miss a game with TJ under center. I think I would give Cardale the edge on that competition.
  6. My suspicion, as well.
  7. There are no facts.
  8. No, I get it. My point was that there isn't one of these QBs on whom I would hang my hat. And, none that I would want us to take in the first two rounds. After that, I would defer to McD/Whaley (an apparent sin on these boards, I know!) as to whom they felt was the best fit-- even if all of them were left. But, I still want them to draft a QB, mid-round. For some weird, emotional reason, I kinda hope that Trubisky, Mahommes, Watson, and Kizer are all gone by round three, and we get Kelly in round #5. That would make me smile.
  9. Or, make sure someone on the opposing team gets the ball. He has throw 8 career interceptions to 6 touchdowns.
  10. Because he is virtually guaranteed to be the Bills starter. And, who said that another team was offering him more than his current Bills contract? Who said he had been offered the starting job somewhere else? If he lights it up, and becomes the franchise guy, he increases his value, and can renegotiate a better contract, or sign somewhere else in three years. The point I was debating with Old School was whether there was interest from other teams, and whether he had other options. OS implied there weren't any, and I disagree. I think you have a tendency to read others' post through the lens of your own agenda, which, currently, is distinctly anti-Tyrod.
  11. Goff hasn't been the real deal, yet!
  12. If he solidifies is position as the Bills' starter, and becomes our franchise QB, then the paycheck will come. Sign as a backup somewhere else, and a backup he remains. I believe this is his mindset. High risk- high reward vs. low risk- low reward. I believe he has that much faith in his ability.
  13. IMHO, both QBs are utterly pedestrian, at best. At least, their stats are similarly dismal.
  14. I doubt this is true. I would assume that remaining on the Bills simply gave him the best chance at being the starter. If he didn't have faith in his own ability to improve, and prove himself, he could have signed a deal elsewhere, and had a long career as a solid backup.
  15. I wish you had included, "Best on Board in Round (fill in the blank)." In which case, I would vote best on the board in round #3. (Or, round #4, if we end up with a pick in that round)
  16. Lost some respect for you, here.
  17. If I had to make a prediction, I would guess that we will take a QB in round #5 --whoever is the best left on the board.
  18. I was waiting for someone to hit me for the point on Mills. It's not something I read. It was just my perception of his last few games-- I felt like I was watching him get better. I still feel that way. I know he started his Buffalo career as pretty awful. Really, really awful. But I fee lie there was a slow trend of improvement that I took notice of at the end of the season. Speaking of atrocious beginnings of NFL careers, what about Kujo? I recall some talk last season of moving him to LT, and making Glenn the highest paid RT in the league. Could be a cool option, no? Edit: I also want to add that while I understand (and do not rule out) your opinion on the right side giving up more sacks with a less mobile QB, I think it misses one point: TT moves so far back in the pocket at the instant of the snap-- his five paces are twice the distance of most-- that he stretched the pocket into a size that is very hard to defend, and DCs figured that out early. The O-line had to have eyes in the backs of their head just to know where he was. DCs knew which side to attack, and attack they did.
  19. Maybe Pegs packed all eight of them in his limo?
  20. Well, our run game was pretty good last year. The left side is pretty damn solid. Wood should be 100%. Miller should continue to improve. And, idk, I feel like Mills improved, as well. Am I wrong? I'm not saying the O-line should be ignored-- we've seen the folly in that over the years! But, with Tyrod backing out of the pocket on every snap, and with our issues at so many other positions... yeah, not the top concern...
  21. He had a great game against them last year.
  22. That's some blue collar guys, right there.
