  1. It's been reported that Dawkins has struggled at RT, and that Mills as had his issues, as well (no surprise there), but that Dawkins has done little to surpass Mills. I'm wondering how differently these two players have performed lined up with the different QBs? I have to believe that defending TT is quite a bit different than defending Yates?
  2. Then I suppose you misinterpreted my point.
  3. That says at least as much about the culture in Buffalo as it does about Tyrod.
  4. I know you're not suggesting that it's harder to defend a tighter pocket, right? I'm wondering (as I have generally respected your opinions) what your thoughts are on the other points. Do you agree that TT's mobility removes some of the left-side vulnerability that other right-handed QBs possess? And, would you agree, given our offensive situation, that more pressure was applied defensively to the right side of our O-line than would be to most other teams?
  5. My wife is from Boston. Imagine all the bulls**t I have to endure at family gatherings...
  6. Timing route practice. Nice.
  7. I'm about the only person I know who actually feels that Mills progressed (albeit slowly) during the season, last year. But still, he's only mediocre, as is Miller. With Glenn/Incognito/Wood, being as good as they are, and Tyrod being as mobile as he is (which, imo, takes away some of the left-side vulnerability that most right-handed QBs have), opposing defenses will, and have, attacked the right side relentlessly. Perhaps, in this regard, having a QB as mobile as TT, not only makes Mills'/Miller's jobs harder, it makes Glenn's/Incognito's jobs easier. At least, in terms of pass protection. If we had a QB who stayed in the pocket, and stepped up into the pocket when the play started to break down, would opposing defenses focus more on Glenn/Incognito? All that being said, I don't personally believe that we are experiencing a "dumpster fire" on the right side, just yet. But, it most certainly is a concern.
  8. I kinda don't mind being the underdog. At least, I aways feel a little more comfortable going into a Sunday as the underdog, and less so when we're favored. Just part of being a Bills fan, I suppose...
  9. I agree with a lot of what Benoit has to say, but not everything. I certainly don't think it's a given that we don't have any edge rushers. I guess we can't just assume that Shaq is going to be a good edge rusher, but if TC (so far) is any indication, he could be a beast. And, I don't think too many Bills fans have any problem remembering how good of an edge rusher Hughs was before Ryan showed up. Personally, I can't wait to see the tandem of Shaq/Jerry attack the edge.
  10. I can absolutely see Cardale becoming a successful QB. I could also see him flaming out. I will say, however, that the LA Chargers may be the best place he could possibly have landed.
  11. Yes, he has. http://buffalonews.com/2016/10/27/seantrel-henderson-opens-battle-crohns-disease-drug-suspension/
  12. Although, to be fair, most TT threads do not, in fact, start out as TT threads.
  13. I would like to see him consistently step forward in the pocket. He rarely does this, but it seemed to me that he did it more last season than he did the season before. And, the only plays where he effectively threw up the middle were the plays in which he did. I personal don't think he will take the next big step until he gets better at maintaining the pocket. If and when he does, our O-line immediately improves, and the rest of our offense with it.
  14. Good stuff. Thanks for all the work and analysis. I sure hope we throw the ball more this year.
  15. I'm curious where Watkins stands in term of percentage of passes thrown his way, when he's on the field. In other words, we know that he receives fewer targets than (to use your examples) Julio Jones, or OBJ. But, we also know that TT has thrown the ball far less than Eli Manning, or Matt Ryan. But, it still seems to me that he gets a low percentage of those throws, relatively. Or, it might just be me screaming at the TV, "throw it to Sammy, FFS!!!"
  16. For what it's worth, the studies that I linked to that really douchey guy were done with "THC-rich cannabis." A quote from one studies conclusions: "Although the primary end point of the study (induction of remission) was not achieved, a short course (8 weeks) of THC-rich cannabis produced significant clinical, steroid-free benefits to 10 of 11 patients with active Crohn's disease, compared with placebo, without side effects. Further studies, with larger patient groups and a nonsmoking mode of intake, are warranted." Studies at the Mayo clinic, and the Meir Medical Center in Israel had similar results, with some patients reaching full remission. But, it's the lack of side effects that is the real story. That we have maintained an almost century long federal prohibition on marijuana, while at the same time absolutely embracing opium based medicines is utterly bizarre.
  17. Obviously, you didn't even look at the links. All three were placebo controlled studies. But, so what? You've demonstrated that no matter how wrong you are, you will not admit error, even when the evidence given is as established as the Mayo Clinic. Instead, you will double down with the same condescending, childish snark that has become your unrelenting modus operandi on this site. You can continue your pointless argument with the Mayo Clinic, if you like. I've made my point.
  18. Interesting. Your sources are in direct contrast to the findings of the Washington Post, and the Cato institute. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2016/10/13/heres-how-legal-pot-changed-colorado-and-washington/?utm_term=.bba6620b6480
  19. Just for a little perspective: Odell Beckham Jr, while only missing one game, has sustained injury throughout his career. http://sportsinjurypredictor.com/player/odell-beckham-jr/6942 It's unfortunate that Sammy's foot injury has been the cause of so many missed games, but if he is truly "100%" recovered from it, then there's no reason to believe that he'll be any more injured than any other #1WR (which is plenty!) We've already seen him play through bruised ribs, which are painful as hell!
  20. This is one of the things that makes this site so good. Cheers, Astro!
  21. OK. O6.5 it is! (wait a minute... is that right?...)
  22. Sorry guys, but until the FDA recognizes marijuana as a medication, and sets guidelines for its use, it will not technically be considered a "prescription drug." Please see the link for reference: http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Prescription+drugsApplicable quote: "The designation of a medication as a prescription drug is made by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration." And, jmc12290, You could have saved me the trouble and googled it yourself, and found numerous studies that have been done on the effects of cannabis on Crohn's disease. But, here's a few for those following this thread (and thanks! It's the trolls who keep a thread like this alive!) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23648372 http://www.medicaldaily.com/medical-marijuana-achieves-complete-remission-crohns-disease-drug-improves-247783 http://www.medicalmarijuanainc.com/crohns-disease-medical-marijuana-research-overview/ Please note that the journals referenced in the articles, National Library of Medicine, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, are peer reviewed. The third article also references a study done by the Mayo Clinic, which one would assume is also peer reviewed.
  23. Well, sure. But all teams aren't so equal in this respect. It's far more likely, imo, that we lose TT to injury than, say the Packers lose Rogers, or the Pats* lose Brady*. And, the loss of Shady, could be equally devastating, as could the loss of Sammy, for that matter. How many teams' playoff aspirations would be sunk by the loss of their RB?
