  1. According to his math, there is no "average quarterback," because there is an even number of starting quarterbacks (32). I suppose, if one of them dies, either Winston, or Dalton would be the league's one, and only "average quarterback," depending on who died. (By PFF's rankings, anyway) This is the logic you are bothering to argue with.
  2. If I were him, I wouldn't get to excited about an incentives clause with an organization that has passed as little as the Bills have in the last couple years. I do hope the dialogue is ongoing. As preseason approaches, his value to the Bills seems to be going up.
  3. I'd be surprised now if Streater didn't make the 53. I think Shorts is more of a dark horse, still. But, I love the way he has preached TC, developing a chemistry with Peterman, first, and getting himself noticed. Really hope he succeeds.
  4. What, do you suppose, is the offer on the table?
  5. I was just looking at who's still available-- and the options are mighty thin! Stevie did have some real playmaking ability in his prime. And, he was a lot of fun.
  6. One has to wonder how many balls he has to drop before he starts to slide down the depth chart. He certainly has fallen behind expectations. It would be nice to have a reliable 6'4" WR. If only Lewis had reliable hands! And, why did we let Hunter walk? (Other than that he couldn't?)
  7. Tannehill's long ball is terrible. I imagine Landry (assuming the tweet isn't true!) would be chomping at the bit to have Cutler on the field.
  8. Terrell Owens was an excellent run blocker, too.
  9. I can't find any corroboration. With all of the details in the tweet, including video evidence, one would think there would be a lot more press if it were true.
  10. Reminds me of MarQueis Grey, who I was really a fan of when he was a Bill. (Why do I feel like I'm going to get flamed for this post?)
  11. I don't know about that. The season's a lot longer than a nanosecond...
  12. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOMEBODY GET THIS MAN SOME TICKETS!!!
  13. Of course, the sad truth that we all already know is that, in all likelihood, ten Ws in 2017 would only get us a wildcard spot.
  14. Pretty much proving my point. Cheers!
  15. You can try to figure that out, if you wish.
  16. Anyone who would suggest that there is no statistical range to rate a player, in any category, in terms of average, below, and above (in other words, there is only one player, at each position, in the league, who can be considered "average") is lying, an idiot, or both. I think I know which...
  17. Written without a shred of irony.
  18. He's a Bill.
  19. I wonder how some of the starter competitions are fairing? Mills vs Dawkins, Brown vs Ragland, second safety, nickel-back?
  20. I meant they "missed" on EJ. He wasn't the diamond they were hoping he would be.
  21. Right. There's always a choice. But, "no reason to force a QB there?" Like I indicated in my post that you have blithely dismissed, it's easy to forget the Bills' situation in that draft.
  22. Russel Wilson is exactly the kind of "diamond-in-the-rough" they were looking for. They missed. "Coddling" seems like a really weird term to use in the Fitz situation. He had a string of really good games, and negotiated a high salary that wasn't warranted, or sustainable. That Fitz wouldn't be returning was a foregone conclusion that put us in a position where the Bills had no choice but to draft a QB in the first. And, tell me the truth, would you have preferred Geno, the top ranked QB in that draft? At least we got a deal in trading down.
  23. It's easy to forget the atmosphere from that draft. They truly had no choice but to draft a QB in the first round-- it was a given-- and they decided that rather than go for one of the first round projections of known mediocrity (Geno Smith was considered best of class, remember!) they tried to find the diamond-in-the-rough, and traded down to get him. All things considered, it could have been worse. Like Geno Smith, for example. We'd probably still be stuck with that bum.
