  1. I don't like that his name is Brandon.
  2. I will give Beane the same benefits given to Whaley from much of this fan base-- especially since he is clearly the cause of our constant pattern of failure. Sheesh, what a joke this guy is!!! HANG HIM!!!
  3. Link not working. I'm still depressed.
  4. Is this going to be a new crusade? If so, count me as a passenger on the Josh Woodrum train. He's going to be the next Tom Brady*, but without all the asterisks.
  5. One of these four statements is correct.
  6. Y'all could probably put the Mahommes crusade on hold for a little while.
  7. I'm not so sure that Yates has to tank in order to be cut, if they saw more potential in Jones and Kelly-- both could have a high ceiling. It's been said, and seems likely that Yates was primarily brought in because of his familiarity with Dennison's system. That shouldn't be such an issue in September, right?
  8. You have no idea who you're talking to.
  9. All of a sudden, everybody is panicking, and worried we won't draft a QB. No one's going to draft Kelly before the fifth, if at all. He has an injured wrist on his throwing hand, and won't be able to play through training camp. With all the other issues, what team (other than the Bills) is going to risk a flyer on that?
  10. I'm at work. I've got it cued up on my DVR, and I've warned everyone that I will stab them if they let loose with any spoilers.
  11. He'll be Cardale's favorite check down.
  12. I'd be surprised if we didn't draft a QB at some point in the draft. My own worthless guess would be fifth round. Secretly (ok, not so secretly), I hope we sign Kelly as an UDFA.
  13. You didn't mention trading out of the first round. If we traded down with Houston, for example, and took their 25th pick, it's not unlikely that two of the three- Mahommes, Watson, Kizer- would be available. But, even if we did trade out of the first round, one of those three, as well as Webb, Kaaya, and Peterman would likely be available as late as the third round. Frankly, I would suspect that trading down would make it easier for us to draft a QB.
  14. How do you figure trading down is "opting out of this QB class?"
  15. I don't believe I have ever witnessed a crusader as relentless as you on this site. C.Biscuit used to be exceptionally rabid regarding EJ, but you make him look like a slacker. IMO, and only time will tell, Mahommes is a long shot, and about the third best QB in this rather weak QB draft. But, I have no real certainty in my opinion. In fact, I would not trust a professional scout who exhibited half the certainty in their opinion that you do in yours. Which is fine, of course. But, if you cut down your pro-Mahommes posts by two thirds, we'd all still get the picture.
  16. This is one of the better fan analyses I've read. I think I'm less high on Mahommes than many on here. I don't think I have witnessed as effective a crusade on this site than I have regarding Mahommes. But, I mostly agree with everything you've said.
  17. A return to the dominance of our front four.
  18. It would likely involve cheating.
  19. Chargers at Stubhub Center. 29,000 seat stadium. Front section, 10 yard line. Should be fun. Hopefully, there will be a decent tailgate that will exceed the disaster at last year's Rams game.
  20. I think you are over-simplifying our sad existence.
  21. I feel like you're dramatically overstating your perception of Seymour. I just don't think he had enough opportunities on the first unit defense, and I don't think there is enough of a body of regular season work to make such absolute pronouncements-- especially considering the buzz he received in the preseason regarding his athleticism, and the potential that he showed. I also don't think you can say that he is only useful as a nickel, as that was the only position he was used for outside of special teams last season. Assuming we draft a CB (safe assumption?), I believe that Seymour will be on equal footing in competition to start opposite Darby, unless maybe we end up with Lattimore. Even then, I wouldn't count him out. I think Seymour is better than you are giving him credit. But, then again, I am usually wrong about such things...
  22. I'll be psyched to watch the Bills @ Chargers in a 29,000 seat soccer stadium in the shade, lower section, 10 yard line.
  23. I remember Rex throwing Darby into preseason games and put him in very difficult, man coverages that were clear mismatches. There was a lot of talk about these intentional mismatches, as I recall, in the post-game pressers. I also recall Rex talking up Seymour in the preseason, and beyond, especially as a nickel back.
  24. Glad someone started this thread. I feel like one of the very few things that Rex did right was properly develop Darby. Rex had good instincts regarding him and they paid off. I suspect that he had the same sort of plans for Seymour. He showed the same kind of promise that Darby did, but didn't have the same opportunity because of Gilmore's presence. Pundits seem fairly united in the idea that CB is one of our top two needs. Certainly, we are shallow in that regard, but I have high hopes for Seymour. And for Darby, for that matter. I have posted on this site that I believe that Darby is every bit the CB that Gilmore is. I have been flamed for the remark, but stand by that opinion. I also believe that Seymour has that same potential. I submit that CB is not quite the dire need that pundits claim it to be.
