  1. Reminds me of MarQueis Grey, who I was really a fan of when he was a Bill. (Why do I feel like I'm going to get flamed for this post?)
  2. I don't know about that. The season's a lot longer than a nanosecond...
  3. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOMEBODY GET THIS MAN SOME TICKETS!!!
  4. Of course, the sad truth that we all already know is that, in all likelihood, ten Ws in 2017 would only get us a wildcard spot.
  5. Pretty much proving my point. Cheers!
  6. You can try to figure that out, if you wish.
  7. Anyone who would suggest that there is no statistical range to rate a player, in any category, in terms of average, below, and above (in other words, there is only one player, at each position, in the league, who can be considered "average") is lying, an idiot, or both. I think I know which...
  8. Written without a shred of irony.
  9. He's a Bill.
  10. I wonder how some of the starter competitions are fairing? Mills vs Dawkins, Brown vs Ragland, second safety, nickel-back?
  11. I meant they "missed" on EJ. He wasn't the diamond they were hoping he would be.
  12. Right. There's always a choice. But, "no reason to force a QB there?" Like I indicated in my post that you have blithely dismissed, it's easy to forget the Bills' situation in that draft.
  13. Russel Wilson is exactly the kind of "diamond-in-the-rough" they were looking for. They missed. "Coddling" seems like a really weird term to use in the Fitz situation. He had a string of really good games, and negotiated a high salary that wasn't warranted, or sustainable. That Fitz wouldn't be returning was a foregone conclusion that put us in a position where the Bills had no choice but to draft a QB in the first. And, tell me the truth, would you have preferred Geno, the top ranked QB in that draft? At least we got a deal in trading down.
  14. It's easy to forget the atmosphere from that draft. They truly had no choice but to draft a QB in the first round-- it was a given-- and they decided that rather than go for one of the first round projections of known mediocrity (Geno Smith was considered best of class, remember!) they tried to find the diamond-in-the-rough, and traded down to get him. All things considered, it could have been worse. Like Geno Smith, for example. We'd probably still be stuck with that bum.
  15. It's been reported that Dawkins has struggled at RT, and that Mills as had his issues, as well (no surprise there), but that Dawkins has done little to surpass Mills. I'm wondering how differently these two players have performed lined up with the different QBs? I have to believe that defending TT is quite a bit different than defending Yates?
  16. Then I suppose you misinterpreted my point.
  17. That says at least as much about the culture in Buffalo as it does about Tyrod.
  18. I know you're not suggesting that it's harder to defend a tighter pocket, right? I'm wondering (as I have generally respected your opinions) what your thoughts are on the other points. Do you agree that TT's mobility removes some of the left-side vulnerability that other right-handed QBs possess? And, would you agree, given our offensive situation, that more pressure was applied defensively to the right side of our O-line than would be to most other teams?
  19. My wife is from Boston. Imagine all the bulls**t I have to endure at family gatherings...
  20. Timing route practice. Nice.
  21. I'm about the only person I know who actually feels that Mills progressed (albeit slowly) during the season, last year. But still, he's only mediocre, as is Miller. With Glenn/Incognito/Wood, being as good as they are, and Tyrod being as mobile as he is (which, imo, takes away some of the left-side vulnerability that most right-handed QBs have), opposing defenses will, and have, attacked the right side relentlessly. Perhaps, in this regard, having a QB as mobile as TT, not only makes Mills'/Miller's jobs harder, it makes Glenn's/Incognito's jobs easier. At least, in terms of pass protection. If we had a QB who stayed in the pocket, and stepped up into the pocket when the play started to break down, would opposing defenses focus more on Glenn/Incognito? All that being said, I don't personally believe that we are experiencing a "dumpster fire" on the right side, just yet. But, it most certainly is a concern.
  22. I kinda don't mind being the underdog. At least, I aways feel a little more comfortable going into a Sunday as the underdog, and less so when we're favored. Just part of being a Bills fan, I suppose...
  23. I agree with a lot of what Benoit has to say, but not everything. I certainly don't think it's a given that we don't have any edge rushers. I guess we can't just assume that Shaq is going to be a good edge rusher, but if TC (so far) is any indication, he could be a beast. And, I don't think too many Bills fans have any problem remembering how good of an edge rusher Hughs was before Ryan showed up. Personally, I can't wait to see the tandem of Shaq/Jerry attack the edge.
