  1. The entire team played better in the second half with Taylor under center. I don't think that's a coincidence.
  2. IMO, it's an all-too-common mistake to look at our QB woes from the perspective of Brady, and the Evil Lord who coaches him. I truly wish that I could respect those two, being the GOATs that they are. Were they not such cheating scum... Also, I don't believe that anyone who knew what they were talking labeled Goff a bust. His rookie season was abysmal. But, his issues were more on Fisher, and his mishandling of his team than Goff being a bust. And had the Rams not spent so much on the pick, no one would have used the word 'bust' at all. And the proof is in the pudding. Goff is a franchise guy. But, your point is well taken. The difference between Fisher, and co, and McVay and co, is the difference between winning, and losing. Dennison stinks. Get rid of him.
  3. I agree with all of this. At 53, I'm one of the younger fans on this site (jk!), and I was just a kid in the seventies. Maybe I'm looking at the past through rose colored glasses, but the Bills/Dolphins rivalry felt more like Rocky vs Apollo Creed, whereas the current Bills/Pats* rivalry feels more like Rocky vs Ivan Drago. It sure would be satisfying to watch a Drago beat-down tomorrow. You get a sense that the Pats* view themselves as having 31 rivals.
  4. Well. we beat the Dolphins, and the Dolphins beat the Patriots*. Ergo, we must be better than the Patriots*. That's the way it works, right?
  5. Starting Peterman against the Chargers was utterly irresponsible. I don't see how that has changed much, except that the Colts are not as good as the Chargers.
  6. Then re-watch the Chargers game. It wasn't just the interceptions that were the problem. The whole team played better with Tyrod under center. Taylor was the better quarterback and it wasn't close. And if you think there is a better journeyman out there, let's hear a name. But even if you can come up with somebody, it won't be someone who knows the system, and the coaches. Taylor does, and he has the respect of the team. The Tyrod Hate on this site is often unhinged, I swear...
  7. I was at the Chargers game. I bought those tickets before the season started, and while I got them at cost, they weren't cheap. I may never forgive Peterman for that debacle. As for the people who are saying that "there is zero chance that Taylor will be a Bill next season," I have to ask: Why? If we draft a QB in the first round (which I would think likely), do we just throw them in the starting lineup, ready or not? Or, do we bother to develop them? I would hope the latter. Do people not see the value of having a veteran QB on the roster while developing a first year QB, regardless of whether they are starting? It seems to me that Taylor would fit that role perfectly, and he's better than any other free agent vet likely to be available, and a helluva lot better than Peterman. Unless you're interested in winning the game.
  8. Losing culture. I guess it includes the fan base.
  9. You don't not know nothing about football.
  10. Good points. But, maybe more to your point, is less the question of whether or not it is worth it to draft a QB high (I think 90%+ are in agreement that it is), and more of a question of how we manage, and develop that QB. For example, I would submit that Fisher (his record, and subsequent firing, notwithstanding) was wise to not start Goff right away, and that Goff has benefitted from sitting behind Case Keenum for a season. I just hope that we aren't stuck with Nate Peterman, and/or whatever low-rent, vet scrub is available, as our othe QBs. I hope Taylor is with us next season.
  11. Who are you responding to? Is there anyone who is not advocating drafting a QB?
  12. If we draft a franchise QB in the 2018 draft, we should have a vet quarterback on the roster who can start the season, and help develop the rookie. Ideally, this would be someone who was a consummate professional, knows the team, and the system, and can win some games while the rookie learns for much, if not all of the season before starting. If only we could find somebody like that...
  13. IIRC, didn't the dildo perp get banned from the stadium?
  14. If we see 100s if not 1000s of people walking funny before the game, we'll know it's happening.
  15. Has there been a game in the history of the sport where the quarterback who played every offensive snap didn't have something to do with the win??? Honestly, at this point, you just seem bitter.
  16. We got the ball back with 1:34 and got a field goal. I'll take it.
  17. And yet, Tyrod plays under the same OC and QB coach. Which of Taylor's bad throws are you willing to lay on them?
  18. Bills are 9.5 point underdogs on Sunday. I wonder what the spread would have been with Peterman? Tatonka has become one of the worst trolls on this site.
  19. What happens if we land our franchise QB, and the best thing we have as a mentor on the roster is Nate Peterman? Do we start the rookie and hope he isn't ruined by being thrown out there too soon? Do we go shopping for whatever vet is available because we've kicked TT out of the building? Finding a franchise QB is only half the question. How the coaching staff manages that player once we get him is the other half.
  20. It's hard to take this thread seriously. That being said, I would like to posit a question that I asked in another thread and got no answer. For all those who want to kick Tyrod to the curb: Then what? Let's assume that Peterman is as bad as he has been (why would we not assume that?). And, let's assume that we use some combination of 2018 pick to trade up and draft out mythical "quarterback of the future." Again, then what? Do we start them fresh out of the gate, behind whatever O-line we have by next year? Do we shop around for some version of Brian Hoyer to sustain some level of mediocrity until our "QB of the future is ready to start?" Just how badly are we going to manage our high-draft-pick QB next year? However you feel about Tyrod, I'm gong to guess that we are going to miss him for the first eight, or so, games next season.
