I'm happy this thread exists. Usually, around this time of year, "conventional wisdom" has become so overstated that the notion of such things as Rudolf going before Rosen sound daft. But, there are surprises every draft. More and more, I'm hoping we stay at 12, and take Jackson.

Mario was great until Rex came in and told him to stop doing what he did best. Should he have been more professional and tried to adapt to Rex's screwed up system? Sure. But that front four under Schwarz was awesome.

If we held at pick #12, and drafted Jackson, I would not be upset. In some ways, he is my favorite QB prospect in this draft.

Myth or Fact: Starting a quarterback right out of college, or too early, even a really good one, can damage their career and likelihood of developing into a franchise QB. Any thoughts? This whole post smack of an agenda. "QBs rarely develop..." Really???

I'm going to guess that you're very wrong.

We could certainly do worse than Keenum. He would be a solid mentor also, and has already had the role with the Rams/Goff. I don't mind paying some money for the guy. You get what you pay for. He'll certainly cost more than he is worth, but so what? We need a guy. If we don't get someone solid, we may end up regretting the departure of Tyrod, at which point this board becomes intolerable.

I am not of that mind. Even if our rookie QB is ready to start week one, I think we would be foolish not to have a vet QB on the roster.

If someone cannot, or will not, accept the notion that one plus one equals two, it it a hopeless endeavor to convince them otherwise. Because, any explanation of why one plus one equals two will already be more complicated than the initial concept.
