Frankly, I believe that having a three-way competition at QB is a mistake. We've been down that road recently (remember EJ/Cassel/Tyrod?), and what we end up with by the end of TC is a starter that hasn't had enough reps with the first team to develop a decent chemistry. At this point, Peterman should be a camp arm, and not much more.

Start Allen from Day 1/ QB competition
Rocky Landing replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I came to the conclusion long ago that there are more educated, accurate, prescient, and informed opinions on this site than there are in the likes of Steve Wyche, Marc Sessler, Dan Hanzus, and the rest of the NFL Network talking heads that claim to follow all 32 teams, but spend about 2% of their efforts on understanding the Bills. To be honest, I like it that way. -

I like the look of this roster/Defense

Well, hopefully their youth translates into stamina, as I fear they are likely to be on the field for the majority of each game. -
My brother used to be a pothead, well into adult life. Then, I was visiting him one day (we live on opposite ends of the country), and I noticed that he wasn't smoking. I asked him about it, and he replied, "well, I just realized one day that I didn't like it any more, and two years later, I quit." He's an example of a marijuana addict, but I've known people who accomplished a lot, and smoke weed without issue. Karlos seems like someone who needs to quit it entirely, like my brother was. Manziel is making a go at a career in the CFL, and he certainly has his demons. I hope Karlos can pull something together. Of course, talented RBs have a lot less value than talented QBs.

Such a shame. He had so much potential, and was such a good compliment to Shady. And he was fun to watch. Pot really affects different people in different ways. Ricky Williams, still a marijuana advocate, and user, is still in phenomenal, physical shape. I wonder if there is any hope for Karlos?

Josh Allen. Let's get real people!

I don't respond well when someone refers to me as "people." -
Mayfield: "I just want to come out and give it 110%, each and every day, and be the best player I can be and help my team win." Darnold: "I just want to come out and give it 110%, each and every day, and be the best player I can be and help my team win." Allen: "I just want to come out and give it 110%, each and every day, and be the best player I can be and help my team win." Rosen: "I should've been first!" Jackson: "I just want to come out and give it 110%, each and every day, and be the best player I can be and help my team win."

I may be just about alone in this opinion, but I loved TO when he was here. I remember him sprinting down field to block for (I think?) Stevie Johnson, and getting him another 10+ yards. (I wish I could remember which game that was.) He put it all out there on the field when he was playing. So, what if? What if he was actually healthy, and fit enough, at age 44, to be productive? What if he were able to beat out whatever scrub ends up at the bottom of our miserable WR depth? What if he could contribute to special teams? None of this is likely, of course. Neither is it likely he would fit into McD's "process." But, IMO, it'd be fun to watch.

I'm going to disagree rather strongly with you. I spent years working on music videos, and have had the occasion to meet a bunch of them. They're hardworking freelancers who get paid for their product like anyone else. And, before you bemoan the intrusion into the privacy of the celebrities they stalk, the fact of the matter is that the celebrities rely on paparazzi to maintain their celebrity. The occasional violent incident between paparazzi, and celebrity notwithstanding, I can tell you that when a music, or acting celebrity stop attracting paparazzi, they become very concerned. I once worked on a Brittany Spears video (in which she arrived seven hours late), and there were about 20 paparazzi hanging about. Two of them were wearing medical boots from having their feet run over trying to get pictures of stars driving. One of them had been run over by Brittany, herself. I asked him about it, and his relationship with her. She knew him by name, and was generally really nice to him, and neither him, nor her harbored bad feelings. I can think of plenty of lower lines of work. Politicians, cold-call phone solicitors, time-share salesmen, and Tom Brady's* ball-handlers come to mind.

I'd rather have Chad "Little Tubby Kid" Kelly than Late Nate Peterman. -

Both my kids are TKD black belts, and from what I've watched during their practices, I would say that, along with discipline, the style of TKD centers a lot around kicking. I wonder if Brady will be brushing up on his technique? -

I'd go with "Train." Not "The Train," mind you, but "Train." Easy to remember, and makes good sense. -
[edited title] Robert Foster, UDFA - Roster shot?

Which, I guess, is another way of saying he isn't top talent?
