Five wins or less without him. Six wins or less with him. -
LeSean McCoy allegations

This is super stressful. Is there some way we can turn this into a Tyrod Taylor thread? -
LeSean McCoy allegations
Rocky Landing replied to FeelingOnYouboty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After reviewing 105+ pages of what we know, what we don't know, conjecture, opinion, theory, plausible, and implausible scenarios, and armchair legal analysis, I think there is only one conclusion to be drawn: Chris Ivory did it. -
What Is The Worst Bills Game You've Attended
Rocky Landing replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've lived in Los Angeles since '91, so I don't get to attend too many games. But, I was at the Chargers game last year to witness Nate Peterman making history. -
Jarvis Landry says Tyrod Taylor looks "amazing"

You should realize that put in historical context, the troll's post that you're agreeing with actually supports Promo's assertion. -
All-22 analysis of Dion Dawkins
Rocky Landing replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hate being in the position of waiting for table scraps to hit the floor to fill such important roles. These post-cut acquisitions should be for depth, or players that have intrigued the coaches, and there is room on the roster. But, especially for O-line, which has to work as a unit, the likelihood of signing someone after preseason cuts in the first week of September, who will not only be better, but can fit into the unit is slim to none. IMO, O-line should be our biggest concern, at the moment. I'm sure it's weighing heavily on McCoy's mind. -
All-22 analysis of Dion Dawkins

I don't know why you would make this assumption. He certainly wasn't going to roll with Tyrod, and I don't think anyone thinks that AJ is the future. -
OK. But, NO ETHER!!!

All-22 analysis of Dion Dawkins
Rocky Landing replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we're going to be happy with the contribution Chris Ivory makes. But, I can't believe the used parts they're building this O-line with, and the utter lack of attention to WR. -

I wonder how his productivity changes having The Duck next to him, instead of The Cog? -

NFL suspends Jameis Winston for 3 games

There are many industries that hold their employees to a code of public conduct. But, this issue especially speaks to how much the NFL is, by and large, a part of the entertainment industry. And, if there's any confusion as to why conduct would be held accountable in the workplace, just ask Kevin Spacey, or Louis CK. -
I'm not going to vote in this, but my take? Dawkins, LT- solid. Mills, RT- might be much improved with a QB who doesn't stretch the pocket, and move around as much as Tyrod did. Bodine, C- If McD thinks he's better than Groy, I hope he's right. Miller, RG- I am cautiously optimistic that he will turn into a solid RG. He's smart, and I thought had a decent rookie season before being derailed by personal issues. Ducasse, LG- Could there be a worse drop in talent than going from Gog to Duc?

Sammy Watkins classes it up on his way out of LA
Rocky Landing replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Sammy Watkins. Honestly, I have a soft spot for anybody who's worn a Bills uni, and hasn't soiled it. But, to your point, in another quote from his interview, he said, of Andy Reid, "I've got to learn the whole route tree. My standard that he wants, he's called me out in meetings, which that's what you need as a player, and I take full advantage of all those things." That's deep. My biggest problem with the amount of draft capital that we spent on Watkins was that I wasn't sure his abilities, specifically YAC, were going to translate to the NFL, or the Bills team he was joining. Will Reid be the HC that finally knows how to use his elite talent? -
A tale of two games. I was at the Rams game the year before, baking in that concrete wok that is Olympic Stadium, following the longest beer line I've ever endured at the tailgate. Bills fans were outnumbered by only about 4:1. I didn't even know there were that many Bills fans in SoCal. But, It felt like a home game. We were LOUD, brother! The Bills players said that, too. What a blast that game was. Taylor was at his best. I was third row at the Bills end zone when Hunter made his first catch as a Bill, which was also his first TD as a Bill. I was very close to Nickell Robey's interception, too. That was a thing of beauty. The Bills were clicking on that day. Well, the Chargers game was a helluva lot more comfortable. The tailgate was about 1,000% better run the the year before. In fact, everything regarding the logistics of going to that game was easier. Easier to park. Easier to get in. Easier to get a beer. I sat in the shade ten rows back from the 20 yard line. I was cautiously optimistic about Peterman starting. But, actually being at that game, I think, made it easier to understand that the five pics Peterman threw only told half the story. It wasn't just Peterman that stunk (and, make no mistake, he stunk). The whole team looked junior varsity. I'm not sure that perception translated to television. And, this is my biggest knock on Peterman: I'm not sure he can lead a team. What you missed in the second half of that game, was a team being led by its QB. That's not me trying to pump up TT- I certainly understand his limitations. But, in the second half of that game, they looked like a different team. And, here's another confession: I CAN'T WAIT for the Bills to play the Raiders in Vegas. I'm in my fifties, and married, with kids, but I will spend whatever it takes for decent tickets, book a room at the crappiest, and cheapest room I can find (and, trust me, they have some crappy, flea-ridden rooms off the strip), I'll take a Greyhound from LA, and spend four days on the deepest, depraved bender since my twenties.

I know there are two schools of thought on "character issues." Some don't really care, as long as they win games. I'm not like that, myself. I want to like the guys I'm a fan of, and to me, character matters. And, Winston is one low-character guy. I'm glad he's not a Bill. -

My father-in-law* is a hardcore Pats* fan. It was a pleasure to shower his grandson with Bills gear.
