  1. Maybe we're reading different reports. From what I've read, McCarron has been the most consistent. Have you read otherwise?
  2. Just to be clear: you're arguing for Peterman?
  3. So, in the not-unlikely event that they sit Allen to start the season, and McCarron beats out Peterman in TC (which, by all accounts I have read, he appears to be doing), should the Bills "build around" McCarron?
  4. Thanks for this info. Love reading these things. Nice work.
  5. Love reading these things.
  6. Considering the reputation that McD has earned since arriving in Buffalo, it's getting harder to see how Zay Jones fits the process. The fact that he is still being considered a virtual lock to make the roster, with many still considering him the assumed #2, speaks more to our dismal WR situation than anything else, IMO.
  7. Why not? Let's get a complete survey: age, race, profession, level of education, number of high level business meetings per week, location... the whole shebang.
  8. What, no Gerhard De Beer? (Red, obviously), but makes me think that there should be asterisks for players we think will make the practice squad.
  9. All right, I stepped in it. Based on very little. Based on what little I know of the situation. My point is, whatever my speculation is, it is just that. Pure, meaningless speculation, and nobody should be offended that I arrived at a suspicion that may very well (hopefully) be wrong. This forum ain't a court of law. Otherwise, why bother having this discussion for 179 pages?
  10. I don't know why anyone should be offended by this thread. There's plenty to discus, here, and there is no reason not to have an opinion, or to indulge in conjecture. I can go ahead and say, "I think he probably orchestrated it, and maybe it went a little awry on him when his goon went too far," (which, honestly, I think is probably the most likely scenario), and you can go ahead and disagree with me. "Innocent until proven guilty" is the legal philosophy under which our legal system is based. We, as fans, have no such burden, because, at the end of the day, our opinions are meaningless. I'm going to say that NO ONE is trashing the guy solely based on the allegation. They're trashing the guy (or defending him, as the case may be) based on their opinion of his character gleaned from what we've read, and interpreted from what the media has reported on him over the years. And, if people are voicing their opinions as if they're "facts," that's really just a matter of semantics. Some people's rhetorical devices are less nuanced than others.
  11. The number one driver of crime is poverty. That seems like simple logic to me. Call me classist.
  12. I would like to thank YOLO, and 26 for all the work they do. I would also like to thank their respective places of employment for which they clearly do very little.
  13. I think the real issue with the O-line is how they end up playing as a unit. I have to believe that Dawkins had a much easier time playing next to Cog than he will playing next to Ducasse. A strong lineman makes the job easier for the guys on either side of him. He was the biggest loss, IMO, especially considering his apparent replacement. And, if RT ends up being an upgrade, it's because we moved the player who was replaced to LT. Center is a pretty big question mark, also. Regarding QB play, while I don't think it by any means a given that QB play will be improved overall, I do suspect that it will be easier for the O-line to maintain the pocket with McCarron than it was for Taylor. TT would routinely stretch the pocket to the limit, and I always thought that his mobility, while an asset in general, made it harder for the O-line to hold the pocket. Even when he was under center, he would drop back so far, and almost never stepped forward in the pocket.
  14. A lot of hay is being made in this thread that because our offense was so bad last year, that we can't be worse this year. In my opinion, if our O-line is worse this year, then our offense will be worse. And, I think there is a pretty good chance that our O-line will be worse.
  15. Still, there's one big reason we won't make the playoffs: our offense. I woke up in a super negative mood this morning, for completely personal, non-football related reasons. That being said, I feel like a more accurate thread would be titled: "Five reasons the Bills will make it into the Red Zone once in a while." Off the top of my head, I can think of about three.
  16. We should sign TO, while we’re at it.
  17. Five wins or less without him. Six wins or less with him.
  18. This is super stressful. Is there some way we can turn this into a Tyrod Taylor thread?
  19. After reviewing 105+ pages of what we know, what we don't know, conjecture, opinion, theory, plausible, and implausible scenarios, and armchair legal analysis, I think there is only one conclusion to be drawn: Chris Ivory did it.
  20. I've lived in Los Angeles since '91, so I don't get to attend too many games. But, I was at the Chargers game last year to witness Nate Peterman making history.
  21. You should realize that put in historical context, the troll's post that you're agreeing with actually supports Promo's assertion.
  22. I hate being in the position of waiting for table scraps to hit the floor to fill such important roles. These post-cut acquisitions should be for depth, or players that have intrigued the coaches, and there is room on the roster. But, especially for O-line, which has to work as a unit, the likelihood of signing someone after preseason cuts in the first week of September, who will not only be better, but can fit into the unit is slim to none. IMO, O-line should be our biggest concern, at the moment. I'm sure it's weighing heavily on McCoy's mind.
