  1. Various media outlets have been making a lot of hay over the number of sacks our QBs have taken, especially McCarron, with a lot of criticism going towards him for holding onto the ball too long. That's been a little surprising to me as Cincy's O-line was near the bottom of the league last season. But, I still have to wonder how much of this problem is on our O-line in TC?
  2. My hope going into the draft was that we would not trade away any of our picks, and take Lamar at 22. So, I'm interested in seeing him play.
  3. Because I've seen Late Nate play.
  4. I don't think Allen will start before week eight. But, I would be willing to bet a Bills hat that he doesn't start before week five.
  5. There are several credible websites that post the spread for the various sports books. Here's a good one: http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/las-vegas The idea is that you pick a team based on the point spread. So, a team that is favored by three points must win by more than three points for that pick. If they only win by two points, the pick goes to the other team. If they win by three points exactly, that is considered a tie. Using the spread is especially good for pools that have a lot of people participating. Otherwise, you end up with too many winners. I also have a tie-breaker in the pool I run, based on the total points scored on MNF. Cheers!
  6. I'm down, and I say leave the Bills in. I'm assuming you would include the spread, which mitigates the problems for those who can't pick against the Bills.
  7. Are you still predicting that he will be the week one starter? Do you feel there is something you've seen that would indicate he will overtake McCarron, and not be overtaken by Allen?
  8. I challenge you to find a depth chart from 2016, when Sammy was on the field, that does not list him as the #1WR.
  9. Out of curiosity: Where do you think Peterman sits on the depth chart after four days of TC?
  10. Is it me, or does KB seem to have an odd gait? I'm just looking at the stability of his knees in this clip, and wondering how well they'll endure moving his 250lbs at full speed. If you watch the slo-mo of his initial cut to his right, for example, you might notice a slight inward bend- almost a wobble. Or, am I being paranoid? I write this as someone who has had three knee surgeries resulting from multiple sports injuries.
  11. Maybe we're reading different reports. From what I've read, McCarron has been the most consistent. Have you read otherwise?
  12. Just to be clear: you're arguing for Peterman?
  13. So, in the not-unlikely event that they sit Allen to start the season, and McCarron beats out Peterman in TC (which, by all accounts I have read, he appears to be doing), should the Bills "build around" McCarron?
  14. Thanks for this info. Love reading these things. Nice work.
  15. Love reading these things.
  16. Considering the reputation that McD has earned since arriving in Buffalo, it's getting harder to see how Zay Jones fits the process. The fact that he is still being considered a virtual lock to make the roster, with many still considering him the assumed #2, speaks more to our dismal WR situation than anything else, IMO.
  17. Why not? Let's get a complete survey: age, race, profession, level of education, number of high level business meetings per week, location... the whole shebang.
  18. What, no Gerhard De Beer? (Red, obviously), but makes me think that there should be asterisks for players we think will make the practice squad.
  19. All right, I stepped in it. Based on very little. Based on what little I know of the situation. My point is, whatever my speculation is, it is just that. Pure, meaningless speculation, and nobody should be offended that I arrived at a suspicion that may very well (hopefully) be wrong. This forum ain't a court of law. Otherwise, why bother having this discussion for 179 pages?
  20. I don't know why anyone should be offended by this thread. There's plenty to discus, here, and there is no reason not to have an opinion, or to indulge in conjecture. I can go ahead and say, "I think he probably orchestrated it, and maybe it went a little awry on him when his goon went too far," (which, honestly, I think is probably the most likely scenario), and you can go ahead and disagree with me. "Innocent until proven guilty" is the legal philosophy under which our legal system is based. We, as fans, have no such burden, because, at the end of the day, our opinions are meaningless. I'm going to say that NO ONE is trashing the guy solely based on the allegation. They're trashing the guy (or defending him, as the case may be) based on their opinion of his character gleaned from what we've read, and interpreted from what the media has reported on him over the years. And, if people are voicing their opinions as if they're "facts," that's really just a matter of semantics. Some people's rhetorical devices are less nuanced than others.
  21. The number one driver of crime is poverty. That seems like simple logic to me. Call me classist.
  22. I would like to thank YOLO, and 26 for all the work they do. I would also like to thank their respective places of employment for which they clearly do very little.
