  1. We never discussed the M word. Also, someone keyed my car this morning. I'm assuming that it was DC Tom, which makes it a proven fact. So, I guess the wedding is off. I'll start the litigation process this afternoon.
  2. I believe the above bolded is the only established fact. P.S.- Would you officiate DC Tom's and my wedding? We're engaged, ya know! (by your standards, anyway)
  3. It's a little hard to tell exactly what you're talking about through the broken diction, and punctuation (I assume you're typing this on your phone, while driving?), but if you're trying to sell me the conspiracy theory that the offense purposely threw the first half because they didn't like McD's decision to sit TT, I'm not buying.
  4. Essentially, what you are saying is that McDermott will decide who the season opening starter will be based on tomorrow's game.
  5. This seems like a stretch in defense of Nate. When Tyrod came out in the second half, the Bills looked like a different team. My take, at the time (other than "why did I spend so much money on these tickets..."), was that Peterman could not lead the team, and was indecisive both in the huddle, and at the line. Confusion reigned in the first half. I have always said of that game that the five interceptions were only half the story of Peterman's performance.
  6. I don't agree with this. However, if this isn't an indictment of Nate Peterman, I don't know what is!
  7. Because it's a discussion board?
  8. It was a two-year tank. That's some next-level strategy, right there!
  9. Because last year was a tank?
  10. I know there have been mid-season HC firings where one of the coordinators moved up. But, it seems to me (and I have no stats, whatsoever to back this up) that they are rarely retained beyond that season, and if they are, it wouldn't be a team with an endemic losing culture. If Hue doesn't turn this team around, this season, I think there would be a housecleaning at the end of the season. I was thinking the same thing regarding Hue's similarity to Rex, when he was on Hard Knocks with the Jets. Rex was famous as a "player's coach," and Hue seems to be of that temperament, as well. I actually work in the motion picture industry in LA, and I have worked on several reality shows (mostly cooking), and I can say that while they do play up the dramas, and create narratives in the editing room, they're not handing out scripts to anyone. I would think, also, that with the turnaround that this show requires, that this is some pretty raw editing. In other words, I don't think there's enough time between shooting, and airing for there to be much misrepresentation from the editing process.
  11. If Haley or Williams think they are going to slide into the Head Coaching position after another failed Hue Jackson season, they're as dumb as dirt. Teams that are trying to move on from a losing culture don't generally give promotions to key members of that culture.
  12. I agree. I have some problems with some of the acquisitions, and losses, but in general, this team seems both well coached, and well managed. That's not a bad combination. I also have a feeling that even if we do only get four, or so wins this season, the two-year revolving door at coaching staff has come to a stop. I think McDermott/Beane are going to be with us for a while. And, that's a good thing.
  13. I feel better already!
  14. I think I'm generally, but not entirely... pessimistic. 1) I think much of our offensive success hinges on the performance of our O-line. And, I think they are suspect. Could easily be well below average. It's hard to come up with a reason why they wouldn't be worse than they were last season. 2) I think, along with our O-line, much of our Qb success (regardless of who starts) hinges on the success of our receiving corps. And, they may be the worst in the league, even with a healthy KB (and, his health (knees) is also a reason for concern). Take KB out of the picture (again, not unlikely), and our WR corp IS one, if not THE worst in the league. 3) There is plenty of reason to doubt that Allen will develop into a viable, NFL-ready starter this season. Just about everyone thought he was a raw talent coming out of college. Nothing he has done has swayed that opinion. Also, there were more than a few pundits who projected him as a bust. While his latest preseason performance gave us all reason to be optimistic, one preseason game is certainly not enough to simply overturn those predictions. 4) Our running backs are old, and if our O-line isn't at the very least equal to last year (see #1 above), there is no reason to believe Shady will be as productive as he was last year. 5) All of a sudden, we seem to be shallow in the defensive backfield. There has been an assumption that the tandem of White/Davis was elite. Now, after PS game#1, that is in question. 6) Line backers. Edmunds is a star in the making, sure. But, he's 20. And, what else have we done to upgrade our linebackers? 7) In the likely event that McD does not feel that Josh Allen is ready to start the season, we are left with the choice between AJ McCarron, and Nate Peterman. THAT is not good. Or... maybe I'm just being a TROLL.
  15. Yes.. yes... it's been so..."exciting!", and "INTERESTING!!!" to see the likes of Brian Brohm, and Jeff Tuel, Thad Lewis, Kevin Kolb, and T.J Yates concussing side-line reporters, slipping on rubber matts and beating the living sh*t out of AIR over the last 20 DAMN YEARS!!! (NOTE TO SELF: LESS DRINKING ON WEDNESDAYS)
  16. I should've been more clear. During every offseason, for many years, including Tyrod's tenure, there has been uncertainty at QB. How high will we draft a QB?; will we trade for someone?; will we pick someone up off waivers?; will Peterman overtake TT in TC (lol!)... there have even been "trade for Luck/Brady/Brees/Rivers/Favre/whatever-franchise-QB-is-getting-long-in-the-tooth" conjecture/rumors/wishful thinking, etc. going on for as long as my short-term deprived memory can remember. (sigh... deep breath...) When was the last time that sort of attitude existed in NE*?, Pittsburg?, New Orleans?, Atlanta?; Indy?; Green Bay???... sh*t, even Detroit... GOD DAMNED F***ING DETROIT (THE CITY THAT DIDN'T MIND POISONING ITS OWN POPULACE!!!), has been happy with their Franchise Quarterback for almost a decade. Please! PLEASE!!! PLEEEEEASE!!! It's OUR TURN!!! (exhale... sigh... breath... everything's fine... namaste... relax...) That's what I meant...
  17. Yeah, "punishment." I can imagine some of their bubble WRs talking to each other, "man, maybe I should go out and get busted this weekend so I can get some of that punishment?"
  18. I hate these “quarterback competitions.” I look forward to a future where we know exactly who our starting QB is going into OTAs.
  19. I will guess that they get put back on right after the cut to 53. “Everyone who makes the 53 gets their stripes back,” followed by apathetic applause, and a shot of the talented, but unhinged Jarvis Landry, “bless ‘em...”
  20. “...sore from all the activities.” ??? What the hell? Here’s my pessimistic hot take: Our top three WRs this year- Zay, Ray Ray, and Corey. Our top three receivers this year- Shady, Chuck Clay, and Ivory.
  21. With all the criticism he has received from Bills fans notwithstanding, I think it was always understood that he was a good leader, and a great teammate. I thought it was telling also, when Haley was making fun of Nassib's first name, "Carl," Tyrod was visibly uncomfortable, and clearly not on board with bagging on one of his teammates. I believe he will help the Brown's, and Baker Mayfield this year. And, for his sake, I hope he then moves on.
