  1. Regardless of who starts, I will take the Chargers to beat that spread.
  2. Vontae's listed as starter on the official depth chart. https://www.buffalobills.com/team/depth-chart
  3. He can totally play, and has heart. But, apparently, he's also a penalty machine. That was also a bit disturbing when he rolled both his ankles. I don't believe it was on a hit, either. He did it to himself. TODD!!!
  4. Chris Ivory is not Reggie Bush, and he also doesn't need the reps that Murphy needs, imo. I think all three RBs are going to see the field this season, and which one is considered #2 may even change week to week. They both offer a lot. I've become an Ivory fan, frankly. Can't wait to see what he does.
  5. I'll give him cheers also for keeping his retorts civil, and friendly. There were some pretty interesting debates on this thread, and I will say that I learned a few things. These threads, where actual football is discussed, are the reason I frequent this site.
  6. I hope, and suspect not. If Nate's highest motivation is to shut people like me up (I admit that I have been fairly relentless regarding that miserable game), then I wouldn't have much hope for his focus on the field. Fortunately, however, from his interviews, and reports of his ethic in practice, it would seem that his focus is inward on himself, and improving to be the quarterback he needs to be. I have to believe that his performance on that day in Los Angeles weighs heavily on his mind. If he's using that experience in any way as motivation, let's hope that it is to create one of the most epic career turnarounds in NFL history, and not merely to shut up his detractors. Thankfully, all indications are to the former.
  7. Serious question: Is the life of an NFL defensive line coach really that taxing? What are the hours we're talking? Seems like a pretty good gig to me. I work on average 60+ hours a week. More if you include drive time. Wish I could watch my kids a little more!
  8. It would be an interesting transition. Has that ever happened before, where a player went from being a player to coach for the same team from one season the the very next?
  9. If a DB were to intercept a 60 yard bomb on fourth down, that DB would be a moron. If the game plan were to throw an intentional interception on third and long, the coach would be a moron.
  10. I predicted that Gerhard DeBeer would start an NFL game before Nate Peterman did (which is another way of saying that Nate Peterman would never start another NFL game). I was wrong. I have been intrigued by DeBeer's story, though, and I'm happy to see him on the PS.
  11. Guess I'll put this in the Mea Culpa thread.
  12. It's pretty hard to see a path to a winning season for me. 7-9 seems optimistic. 5-11 seems likely. 2-14 is not unlikely. But, by mid season, maybe we've turned it around? Maybe Allen starts to reach his potential, along with some of our skill positions? Maybe the O-line gels? Could happen.
  13. I don't really follow other teams as much as I'd like. So, the question that crosses my mind is: Who's worse?
  14. Yeah, totally disfunc... wait a minute... we’re the Bills!!!
  15. Not sure why this needed its own thread, as this topic has been discussed, ad nauseum, in the “Peterman Starts” thread. Be that as it may, if people refuse to forget that performance, it’s because that’s what happens when you make history.
  16. One would think if he was a "natural" right DE that he might have some success on the left side. He had maybe one decent play stopping the run. He was useless rushing the passer. USELESS. I don't believe he got around his man even once. He was stood up straight on every pass play. Sure, I get that he's better on the right side. But, how much better could he be? Better than Hughs? I doubt it! And, why on earth would Jerry Hughs be finished??? He's 30!
  17. Shaq got stood up almost every play. I don't think he got past his man once. The only time he broke away from their RT was when the ball was handed off. Terrible.
  18. ??? Who the hell has said anything even close to that?
  19. I opened up this thread and saw this post first, and immediately knew who it was referencing. Honestly, I think it’s a fan of some other team (Pats* maybe?) with a low self esteem, too much time on his hands, and not much imagination.
  20. Oh, I don't know... there's a few people I would've like to have seen injured... (OK, relax, I'm just kidding!)
  21. Am I the only person alive who actually enjoys preseason games? (Today's sh*tshow notwithstanding.)
  22. Welcome! I wish I could say you're not going to regret it...
  23. Replying to this guy just makes you a fish on a hook. He is trolling.
