  1. I completely disagree. First of all, the run game didn't start last night until he was at center. Literally. They did not run a single running play until Bodine was out there. Allen threw every down, except when he ran himself. And, I will also say, that Long looked pretty decent run blocking. Bodine looked lost against a really crappy second, and third string Colts defense. As for last year, run blocking was terrible. Our run game was terrible. McCoy had the worst season of his career, and that was, in large part, due to the O-line.
  2. More than once, Beane has talked about carrying five WRs. McKensie was decent enough, but I'm not sure he did enough to lock up a sixth spot, which may not exist. His one decent turn at kick return was pretty late in the game. His other attempts were unremarkable. Like everyone else, I have just been assuming there would be six WRs on this team. After last night, especially with Roberts getting time with the first team offense, I could definitely see five WRs making the roster, and possibly carrying four RBs. Senorise Perry looked better on ST, and had some nice runs on offense. Call this a bold prediction, but I would not be surprised to see McKensie and McCloud out, and Perry in.
  3. I think they'll both make the team. There have been constant comparisons between Foster, and Brown, as being similar threats. At this point, I'm looking more at Foster vs. Zay, and seeing Foster in the same role as Zay, getting moved around the field. Foster did have that drop (I don't think it was as bad as Zay's), but I don't think there is any question that Foster has a much greater catch radius. Foster came so close to pulling in that long throw from Tyree late in the game. Zay wouldn't have been anywhere near it. At this point, I think Foster is more reliable, and is becoming more versatile.
  4. The best thing that can be said about Russel Bodine is that he knows how to snap the ball to the quarterback, more or less (‘cept for that time he sailed it over Barkley’s head). Beyond that, he is a bystander on the field.
  5. I don’t think McKensie, or McCloud made a strong enough push to lock up a #6 spot on this offense. After tonight, I think there is a better chance of only carrying five WRs. If we do only carry five WRs, I think Senorise Perry makes this team. And, I’m good with that.
  6. There is absolutely nothing in this life more important than family. That is my opinion.
  7. NFL Game Pass on your computer. $99 for the year, I think.
  8. If you want to buy this house, you'll likely have to outbid an investment firm loosely tied to Robert Kraft*, which will be bidding about $15 million above market value as a means of paying Brady* under the table to avoid a cap hit for his contract extension.
  9. Definitely interested to see what Duke does. Also, Christian Wade, who will be on our PS. Not sure how much they will play him. Probably not until the fourth quarter. But, he is an incredible athlete. And also, this is a weird one: Garret McGhin. Diamond in the rough? Plenty more, tbh. Really looking forward to this game, preseason though it may be...
  10. Nobody asked you.
  11. I miss Wegmans the most. Yes, but she has standards. Sorry.
  12. So, some subsidiary vaguely connected to Robert Kraft will buy his house for millions above its value? That's what's happening, right?
  13. Born and raised in Penfield. My 82-year-old mother still lives in the house I was born in.
  14. From the Colts' perspective: https://www.stampedeblue.com/2019/8/6/20756935/colts-vs-bills-preseason-week-one-players-to-watch Also, Luck won't play. https://coltswire.usatoday.com/2019/08/03/indianapolis-colts-andrew-luck-wont-practice-before-preseason-week-1-game/
  15. What are your opinions on Penfield?
  16. Perry has more chops as a special teamer.
  17. I'm not disappointed to see Long between Morse, and Bodine at center. I wonder, though, who will be there on Thursday?
  18. There's going to be eleven guys on the field on every special teams play. So far, we've only heard a handful of names. But, considering how lousy our ST play was last season, I have to assume that there will be a concerted focus on ST this season.
  19. We haven't really seen much about who is participating in ST. I feel like this could be the difference in how many WRs we carry. This seems to be less likely as TC has progressed. McD/Beane certainly seem to value him. I'm not sure how Daboll views him.
  20. I just read that Brady's* extension frees up about $5.5 mil in cap space, which puts them in a position to go after Trent Williams, if Washington is willing to trade him. The Pats* O-line could definitely fall to average this season, and that would be very bad for Brady*, and the Pats*. I have to believe that they are actively looking to upgrade that unit. If nothing else, they are thin at depth. As soon as this author referred to "Roger Goodell’s tyrannical suspension in 2016" for having been caught cheating, I could not read any further.
  21. I could see the Pats* going after him. They're thin at the O-line, and just freed up some cap space.
