To leave “50+ points on the table” would suggest that we’ve gotten to the red zone 7+ times and not scored. That is certainly not the case. In fact, our red zone efficiency has been excellent this season.

Hard not to be a fan of this guy-- especially since he has elevated his play this season. He'll be back. ACLs are pretty routine these days. I've had my left one replaced twice.

Well, speaking for myself (and I imagine there are plenty who would agree), I enjoy fans from other teams offering up their opinions, and perspectives, and intelligent debate. Of course, your trolling does not qualify as any of that.

I have to imagine you're treading on thin ice on this site. The mods here don't run this place the way other fan boards are run. We like to keep things reasonably respectful, and if I am not mistaken, there is only one poster on this site who is allowed to call others an "idiot."

Dang. He was important depth, and worthy of being a starter on more than a few defenses in the league. Who takes his place?

And, not for nothing, the Jets were not depleted as they are now, and had legitimate playoff aspirations.

I think the Bills need to strategize some different schemes for when the play breaks down. So far this season, when the pocket has collapsed, or the play has broken down, Allen has escaped to the right, and usually two eligible receivers will break from their route, head to the right sideline, and cut back towards the line of scrimmage. It's worked very well on several plays this season, and I think that so far, opposing defenses have been merely planning to keep Allen contained, and not planning so much for, what I believe, is a designed play for when the play breaks down.. But, at this point, I think the Pats* are going to be expecting it, and will have an immediate answer for it. They need some different strategies for when Allen has to escape the pocket.

This is all assuming that Pancho's family wanted to be trotted out as the half-time show. From the coverage I've seem of them, his family seem like modest, and humble people. The pre-game thing sounds comparatively intimate as opposed to the spectacle of a halftime show which is, historically, viewed as entertainment. It could very well be that his family did not want to appear self-serving, or undignified, and I would agree with them. I honestly don't agree that this is about the fans. It's about his family.

I believe the Bills have a design for when the play breaks down. I don't believe it's improvisation. When Allen breaks from the pocket, it's been to the right, and there are always two eligible receivers who will break from their route, head to the sideline, and cut back towards the line of scrimmage to get separation. Ironically, it may be the hardest play that opponents have had to defend. I think the plan has been, so far, to keep Allen contained in the pocket because he is so dangerous on the run. I don't think the Jets, or Giants, or Bengals have game planned specifically for that play. But, the Patriots* will.

There is certainly truth to this. But, consider: Nsekhe (33, and already injured at least once this year) is on a downward trajectory. Ford (top prospect, high ceiling, not playing that much worse than Nsekhe) is on an upward trajectory. Ford needs to be developed. Not for his own good, but for the sustained good of the team. I think they're handling the situation appropriately. And, honestly, I think the characterization of Josh "running for his life" is hyperbolic. Last season Josh was running for his life. This season, you'd have to be blind to not see the improvement in the O-line.

Out of curiosity, who do you think looks better at RT, Nsecke, or Ford? I think Nsekhe looks much better, but I understand, and agree with McD playing Ford a lot. I think he needs to develop. But, I like seeing Nsekhe out there when the game is on the line. JMO.

I'm going to go back and rewatch the condensed game, but I feel like Nsekhe/Ford looked pretty good. I'll be honest, though, I'm not even sure when it was that Feliciano went out!

Sure. But, in terms of the discussion I was having with KtD, which is greater, the difference between PR, and KR, or the difference between PR, and safety? And, to reiterate my other point: Hyde is too valuable to be subbing as the PR!!!

I think it's worth noting how well the Bills have been playing in terms of penalties. I forget what the stat was, but there have been a lot more holding penalties, league wide, in the first few weeks of the season, as a result of a decided emphasis (supported by owners) on holding calls. And, for once, the Bills have not been shooting themselves in the feet with stupid penalties. This team looks disciplined.

I think all three of our TEs (yes, including Lee) give us the same type of receiving threat.

I posted that observation right after that play. If he keeps it up, opposing D's will need to account for that. It takes more than one backfield defender to take that guy down!
