  1. I think it's genetic for some...
  2. Offense: TE Austin Hooper from the Falcons. I love having Lee Smith, and I think the leadership he provides, and his excellent blocking makes him worth having on this team. I think Knox is going to grow into a serious playmaker, but I also think there are consistency issues. Hooper could be the TE that we were hoping Kroft would become. It's hard to have much faith in Kroft's ability to stay on the field (assuming he ever gets on the field!). I don't know if Sweeney would pass waivers to make it on the practice squad-- if it came down to a choice to cut either Sweeney, or Kroft to make room for Hooper, I think Kroft would be the likely choice. But, either way, I wouldn't mind seeing Hooper, Knox, and Lee all in Bills uniforms on game day. Defense: OLB Shaq Barrett from the Bucs. Does anyone else want to see more sacks? Plus, as much as we love him, Lorax isn't going to be around next year. Barrett has nine sacks so far this season. We'd have to pay him. And, we'll have to pay Milano next year also. But, if Beane could work it out, a starting LB trio of Milano, Edmunds, and Barrett could be a DC's nightmare in 2020.
  3. I would absolutely loathe being a Pats* fan.
  4. I would take Drake over Yeldon in a heartbeat, but I would be very surprised if Beane, or McDermott were willing to manage the team in that way.
  5. Dang. Now Drake has something to play for on Sunday.
  6. Half this board was shaking it and massaging it on Sunday...
  7. On Sunday, when we lose to the Dolphins, I am going to blame this thread.
  8. Well, here I am trying to be sarcastic, and you just go ahead and double down. Well played, sir! EDIT: Or, uh... ma'am. Whichever the case may be...
  9. Prissy, I think you should merge this with your other bizarre thread about Mariota, and title it: "Should the Panthers and Titans trade Quarterbacks?"
  10. I can't help it. I hate seeing such a huge spread.
  11. The Fitz Magic Sword One edge cuts your enemy The other, your ass
  12. There's at least two teams missing from this poll: The Patriots*, and the Bills.
  13. Nice graphic! Is there a "Splat the Pats*," or "Blood-let the Jets" equivalent?
  14. I honestly lost count of how many times he hit his receivers and they just couldn't haul it in. But what really struck me was the expression on Rosen's face when they cut to a closeup of him under center. Ya kinda feel sorry for the guy...
  15. Stats without context are useless. What should concern us, and the Bills is how they win games. 25th in offensive points? OK. But, we're 12th in net points in the league, and 5th in net points in the AFC. And we're in a six-way tie for second in WINS. Why worry?
  16. How can you not be a fan of this guy? I love this season.
  17. 189 yards to go.
  18. No. I don't think he has 4.3 speed. My only point is that he is faster than his 4.66 showing at his combine would indicate. That combine, in which he tanked, has followed him more than his expulsion from Auburn, IMO. He gets knocked for being "slow," and "not able to get separation. To my eyes, he is of average speed for a WR. And, the knock that he "can't get separation" is just plain wrong. Yes, I agree. Zay Jones speed.
  19. How did you feel about Micah Hyde returning kicks while Roberts was out? Unless someone spectacular becomes available (and if someone does, they'll make room), anyone we add to the 53 will be depth players. Perry is a ST baller, and decent return man. Hyde being out there returning kicks shows that we need depth at that position. And, I'm sorry, Yeldon is terrible. Perry is decent depth, who knows the system.
  20. Boy, did they just jinx us, though!: "With a bye coming up in Week 6, Sean McDermott's team has a lot to be proud of -- and a virtual second bye against the Dolphins in Week 7." Man, I can't even think such a thought!
  21. I'm happy with this move, and I believe Perry to be underrated as a running back. Be that as it may, he is a special teams baller, and if Roberts goes down again, I sure don't want to see Hyde returning kicks like he did earlier in the season! Perry is decent depth.
  22. "Isn't a fast receiver" is a better description than "slow."
  23. Better physical and mental shape. He tanked at the combine, and by the time the draft came around, he was a pariah. 4.3 does seem faster than one would expect. But, in all likelihood, he should probably be considered of average speed. Zay clocked a 4.45 at his combine, which didn't raise any eyebrows. I would be interested to see what his top speed actually is, which I don't believe anyone really knows. But, before his character issues, his school expulsion, and tanked combine, he was considered a top prospect. If 4.3 seems unlikely, it seems more unlikely that he had achieved that much hype while being "slow."
  24. He ran a slow 40 time at the 2015 Combine. It was over four months after he had been thrown out of Auburn for a bar fight, among other transgressions. He hadn't worked out, or practiced a snap of football in that time, and he was spiraling into depression. That combine has followed him ever since, including onto these boards.
  25. Clearly, this is a guy who turned his life around.
