  1. Well, Gore has 73 yards left to Pass Barry Sanders. He's still on track to reach that milestone. But, he averaged 1.4 ypc on 11 carries the week before last, and only got five carries this last week for 2.4 ypc. That is paltry. He needs a good game vs. Miami this week.
  2. I'm really not so mad at this game, because there really wasn't anything surprising. I think a lot of Bills fans on here had convinced themselves that "the Brown will always suck," that they were utterly worthy of their 2-6 record, and their win over the Ravens was an "any given Sunday" fluke. But, I think most of us knew that the Bills still have a ways to go. Did we really think that Allen's progression as a QB was complete? Did we think that Knox is suddenly elite? Do we think we suddenly have an elite #1WR? It's the same group of guys out there, slowly improving as a team, but still missing a true playmaker.
  3. I thing it's going to come down to which team scores more points.
  4. Were you lying next to a broken, smoldering table?
  5. Maybe some tech savvy fans can sneak into the visitor's locker room, and find, and disable the hidden microphones.
  6. I have mixed feelings on the guy. I like a comeback story, myself. It's why I'm such a Duke Williams fan. Ritchie has struggled with mental health, and when football is finally done with him, the struggles will only get harder. But, there are other issues that give me pause. His history of bullying behavior, not just in regards to Martin, and his time with the Dolphins, but the times he has physically intimidated, and threatened strangers in places like a public gym, or a funeral parlor. These things point to some serious character flaws that I find hard to empathize with. I will certainly watch the segment on Real Sports, though. But, as far as whether he should be in the NFL, there are certainly much worse than him.
  7. You’d be better off stealing it banana for earlobe.
  8. Sheesh. If you're going to misrepresent my post, have the good taste to do it in the thread in which it was written.
  9. This is one of the stupidest things I've ever read. If you have that many people on ignore, I would have to suspect that you are somewhat closed-minded. And, if that is the case, you're not really going to know it. Nobody actually thinks they are closed-minded. You'll probably put me on ignore now, if I'm not there already. Don't leave out self-criticism! I think the board could use a lot more of that. At least, I know I'm an idiot.
  10. If you google "smartest man in sports" you will find Fitzy mentioned in numerous articles. (Not "smartest man in the NFL," mind you-- smartest man in sports). He's 36, now, and is really one of the best journeyman backups out there-- a guy who can slide into the starting role and win games, which he has done for all 8 teams he has played for except his first, the Rams (0-3 as a starter for the Rams). He's on a two-year contract with Miami. Hard to imagine that Miami will be the last team he plays for. Wonder who he's going to play for next?
  11. I basically agree with this-- I think it is likely he will get the opportunity to continue to produce, and I very much hope he does. On the other hand..... He had 11 carries vs. Washington, and averaged 1.4 ypc. Singletary averaged 4.8. If Gore has another week like that, one has to assume they're going to start limiting his touches. And, given the short-yardage situational role they're already using him in now... I really hope he has a good game vs. the Browns.
  12. After last week's performance vs. Washington, and the latest emergence of Motor, it's easy to imagine that Gore's touches are going to become more limited going forward. Hopefully, last week's drop in production is less a symptom of Gores age, and more a case of the way he was used-- Jauronball, as GunnerBill called it. With that in mind, I do hope he gets the opportunity to get another 85 yards, which would place him as the second all-time NFL rusher, passing Barry Sanders.
  13. Guess I wouldn’t really miss the Dolphins.
  14. This thread is some crazy homerism, sure. But, ask yourself a couple of questions: 1) In the first half of this season, has Josh Allen improved, remained the same, or declined? I think most would agree that, the Eagles game notwithstanding, he has, from game to game, incrementally improved. 2) In the first half of this season, has Tom Brady* improved, remained the same, or declined? I think one could make a sound argument that Brady* is in decline. It is not outside the realm of possibility that the Bills win this division.
  15. I don’t know. Lines like (for the Patriots*): “Your 2018 record: 11-5. A Super Bowl victory that was about as entertaining as watching a feather-haired old man get a handjob,” I thought really rang true for pretty much all the fans of 31 other teams, and probably about 85% of Pats* fans (if they’re being honest with themselves— an unlikely scenario, I know…). But, what I always appreciated about that annual series, and DeadSpin in general, was that whatever they were writing, whether you agreed with them, or not, you could see that they were indeed paying attention. Lines like: “Peterman is no longer with this team and no longer free to nestle down and get all cuddly in the dog bed Sean McDermott provided for him,” really show me that Drew Magary, the author of that series, gets it. I can not even imagine trying to keep track of the number of national sports pundits— people who get paid a lot of money to cover NFL football for large market news outlets— whose articles I read about the Bills that rely on tired, old assumptions that those who have been paying attention know are no longer relevant. “Listen man, all you need to know about the Bills in 2018 is that they signed Vontae Davis to a free agent deal before the season and then the man realized, right in the middle of a Week 2 game, that he didn’t feel like playing football ever again. That’s what happens to people when they arrive in Buffalo. They land at the airport, survey the frozen and windswept barrens, hear “Name” playing on a loop at the local wing joint, and instinctively want to flee.” No, I don’t agree with it. But, I can’t read that and not laugh.
  16. I will miss its annual "Why Your Team Sucks."
  17. We've had worse!
  18. Nsekhe was FP, and listed for rest. Not sure why he's down as "questionable."
  19. Sorry, Bub. That stat provides context.
  20. In what universe? The Pats* currently have 189 net points for the season, the most in the NFL by a wide margin.
