  1. Beasley also couldn't get separation today-- something he is also good at. Neither could Smoke, or Motor, or McK. The Ravens played tight, tight coverage today. That's why I kept thinking of Duke-- big, strong, and an ability to fight in tight coverage and come down with the ball. That is his wheelhouse. Ya hear me @GunnerBill!
  2. There's plenty of tape on Duke Williams to know his strengths, and weaknesses. Reliable hands are surely one of his strengths. But, it's pretty weird to say that he won't be able to catch a fast ball because he is tall.
  3. I agree. I believe they missed holds on our guys, as well. I don't think they had any particular bias. I also think they tend to "let the guys play," so to speak, during nationally televised games.
  4. These guys were awful. I don't even pay attention to this sort of thing, but even I saw a few holds they missed. And the missed PI was ridiculous. I think McD should have challenged, but it does seem that the league has been loath to overturn the PI calls.
  5. Duke Williams catches everything thrown his direction.
  6. Is it me, or did the refs miss a lot of holding calls today? (not to mention that obvious PI call?)
  7. We may have limited Jackson better than any team in their current winning streak-- remember that it was pouring rain vs. the 49ers. Our defense is amazing. On that note: Star, White, Shaq, Lorax, Hughs, Oliver, Edmunds all had great games today.
  8. No one should be freaking out about this loss. It highlighted some of our known weaknesses on offense: Pass protection, lack of a playmaker, Knox's inexperience, dropped passes, WRs getting separation, Allen still progressing, no long ball, etc, etc... But, the bottom line is that we just lost to the best team in the NFL, and did exactly one FG worse than the 49ers. And, we fought to the last play.
  9. I agree, too. I wouldn't even bother replying on the other "disgusting offensive effort" thread. This team made plenty of mistakes to be sure. But, they fought to the last play.
  10. I was thinking several times during the game that I wished they had activated Duke.
  11. I don't know where you're getting your information, but Southern California does not get any water from the Great Lakes.
  12. My favorite is the white jerseys over blue pants. I don't like the white pants after Labor Day.
  13. They're such a disappointment. Hey, we all have our own first-world problems. Yeah, I think you can crap on your own city, but otherwise shut up. That's just basic social graces.
  14. Hey, man. I live in Los Angeles, and the smog really isn't such a problem anymore. All we really have to be concerned about are the mudslides, earthquakes, drought, an exploding homeless population, gang violence, a VD epidemic, fake boobs, 100˚+ weather, wildfires, and firestorms.
  15. That was super generous of Hyde to go into such detail, and minutia. It was almost to the point of saying too much. He mentioned the idea of teams running screens against them because they had experienced trouble against the screen. When he said that, I remembered Dallas doing just that-- one, in particular, that looked like a textbook demonstration of a screen. Good listen, though.
  16. I'm 55, and I own a Kyle Williams Jersey. I wear it the couple times a year I make it down to Busby's in Santa Monica, CA to join other Western NY transplants for a great game-day experience. Most of the things you are saying are fair points, and if you are only watching the game for the strategy, and athletic spectacle only, well... that's just fine. That's obviously a huge part of most fans enjoyment of the game. There are many other fans who, along with the strategy, and game-play, also enjoy following the culture, and character of the team. For those fans (and, I am among them), this is a great year to be a Bills fan. But, believe it or not, if you're going to call out people like me as being childish, you're not exactly presenting yourself as a pillar of maturity. There are some truly brilliant posters on this site, and I'd be pretty surprised if the majority of them didn't own jerseys. I know Astro has jerseys-- I've seen photographs of him wearing them. Are you going tell me he has the maturity level of a 14-year-old? It's cool to be cynical. Blithely insulting is frankly immature.
  17. In recent years past, this would be a much easier question to answer. This year, it would have to be a list. And, it's not a short list.
  18. I will say this: San Francisco did fall for the play fake over, and over again, as did I, watching the game.
  19. Oh, Busby's is the place!
  20. I'm sure there's ample bandwagon parking at New Era.
  21. This may also be similar to why Sam Darnold spends so much time on the turf-- he's been trying to camouflage himself with the green uniform.
  22. That's it! The Bills need to switch to medium-brown uniforms, and Josh needs to dye his hands brown.
  23. Vegas spread has dropped as low as -5. Pats* are three point faves over KC, btw.
  24. The thought of Brady as a color analyst makes me ill.
