12/21 Bills @ Pats** PreGame Thread
Rocky Landing replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sitting at a place called “the Crow’s Nest” in Tajunga, CA. Not another Bills fan in sight. Bunch of Pats* fans around, though. So much more fun to be a Bills fan. -

Pretty sure we want KC to win out

This is where I'm at. If we ruin the Pats* day today, it feels like a playoff victory to me. -

Not sure that is going to be the case this time around. Brady* is great at getting the ball out fast, but this is not the same team we played earlier in the season, and Brady* is not the player he was. His accuracy has suffered, and his receivers are faltering. Rush Brady* in the pocket, and we might gets some picks today. I hope. -
How Much Confidence do you have in Miami?
Rocky Landing replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The thought of the Pats* losing to Miami, at home, with the division title on the line is almost inconceivable. But, I will say this: watch a recent Dolphins game. Even their recent loss to the Giants. They're terrible, yes. But, there's a spark there that really looks like it comes from Fitz. The guy looks like he is playing the best football of his career, just with an absolutely miserable cast of players around him. But, they make plays here and there, and the play calling is pretty solid. You have to respect them, in a way. The Miami FO took to the season with such an obvious tank that the NFL Competition Committee felt the need to get involved. But, the coach, and scrubby players that were left after the FO literally put the entire roster up for sale were not on board. There's effort on the field. The Phins want to win. But, at the end of the day, their point differential is the worst in the league... by a lot. The only way they could beat the Pats* is if there is a serious disruption in the Pats* defense, like losing Gilmore, and Hightower, and maybe even a third starter to injury, and Brady* having a really, really crappy day. And, even then the Phins would be a long shot. -
I just hope McDermott takes the following precautions: - Hire security to guard the fire alarms (and the team, for that matter) in their hotel. - Change up signals before the game. - Speak in code over the mic. - Expect the mic to cut out at bad times. - Get someone on field to get their hands on one of the Pats* balls, and check for proper inflation. - Don't discus specifics in the locker room before the game, and discus halftime adjustments in hushed tones with music playing in the background. - Bring their own bottled water. - Maybe hire a food taster. - Protect Josh Allen! Counteract their cheating, and this is a winnable game!

Ed Oliver Hustle plays - Baldinger Breakdown
Rocky Landing replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To be fair, rookies on the D line will always take some time to develop. Clearly, Oliver is in an ideal situation for just that, and Q. Williams is clearly... not. I will admit that I say this as someone with zero respect for Greggo, and a very large amount of respect for Frazier, and McD. But, I don’t think anyone should sleep on Q. Williams, or consider him a bust. -
How many people ***** their pants when tre was hurt?
Rocky Landing replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was at a bar that had until recently been called "The Steel Pit" in Los Angeles. Not sure why they changed the name, but it is still frequented by Steelers fans. When Tre got hurt, I yelled, "NOOOO!!!," and a dick in a Steelers jersey laughed at me, and pointed. They're awful fans, even from 3,000 miles away. -
I was pretty much born into Bills fandom. I remember my father yelling "JUICE, JUICE" at the TV screen in the early seventies. I guess the four years we were losing the Super Bowl were pretty fun, but I was in my twenties back then, I wasn't really following them that closely, and I honestly don't remember much from my twenties. So, unquestionably, this is the funnest year I've ever had being a Bills fan. It feels... weird. Like an abused, stray dog that's still afraid to trust anyone.

Lose to New England next week and get a bye week.

Nothing builds a winning culture like losing...
