  1. Never has NFL reporting been more of an echo chamber!
  2. I wasn't responding to the OP, really. @Alphadawg7 is one of my favorite posters, in fact. I was more responding to the odd conviction of many posters on this site that Moss has somehow already established himself as an NFL running back, without having played a single snap. IIRC, Singletary started week one, last season (?) as did Ford, and Oliver, so it's not like McD isn't willing to start a rookie. But, Singletary started after having numerous preseason game snaps. In one of those games, Motor was handed the ball something like 15 offensive snaps in a row. Moss has absolutely nothing like that to compare. As for the Barry Sanders reference, again not calling out Alpha, at all. That literal comparison has been made in at least three other threads since the draft that I can recall. It's that overly-optimistic conviction that allows some to think that Moss, an untested rookie with zero NFL snaps, might start over Motor, based on rumors from the most secretive TC we've ever had.
  3. Just a thought: Maybe we should wait for Moss to play a game before crowning him the next coming of Barry Sanders?
  4. So, they'd all just be sitting there, unblinking, and soulless, and it would look like a Pats* game. I guess just make sure they're made from a nonflammable material. If they spontaneously combusted, it'd look like a Jets game.
  5. Imagine how embarrassing it would be if it rained really hard, they got all mushy, and sunk into the seats. It would look like a Dolphins game.
  6. Do we really need a dozen, or so dump trucks full of trash? (Not Kay Adams, but the cardboard)
  7. I know he's a ST staple, but I think we're going to see Siran Neal on D a lot this season.
  8. The Jets are banged up, also. CBS Sports has their depth chart listed with all but one of the wideouts (Barrios) dealing with some injury, as well as their starting TE, Herndon. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/teams/NYJ/new-york-jets/depth-chart/ This is going to be a weird game to watch.
  9. Bet they start the first half of the reg season 3-5.
  10. McKensie can probably punt.
  11. Really speaks a lot to the culture in Buffalo.
  12. Judging by most of the score predictions, it appears that Jets fans are assuming Gase is going to play their second string offense, and defense.
  13. Interesting that Vegas has already released odds for week two, with the Bills favored over Miami by 3.5.
  14. I was just referencing what Ryan Talbot had tweeted: No Kumerow and Slayton on the initial PS list. Could both be added after going through the COVID-19 onboarding process with two of the names below being released.
  15. This is pretty much what I'm saying. But, I would think he still would have considered turning down the designation in hopes of landing somewhere down the line-- even with the Bills. If there is as much attrition as some suspect there will be, there will be regular spots on PSs in the weeks to come.
  16. Well, the Pats* have now signed three WRs to their PS. It's weird how incomplete that team is a week from the opener.
  17. I have to believe that as he was weighing his options, he saw remaining in the special designation, and getting a chance to play next year as his best chance of remaining in the NFL. I would think that how tenuous the entire season is, as a result of the pandemic, was also a consideration.
  18. I would imagine that Beane/McD also told him that if he didn't accept the designation, he was done in Buffalo.
  19. I suspect that given the abbreviated offseason, and training camps, the entire league will be seeing more injuries than usual.
  20. I can imagine what the Packers see in Foster. With the decline of Allen's deep ball last season, he was almost a no-show on our offense. They could still see potential in him as a deep threat for Rodgers. He still has the speed. Passing Covid-19 protocols?
  21. He was a star rugby player. He has four preseason games, and a year on the PS. He's also 29. If his dream is to play in the NFL, that window is certainly closing. By accepting the special designation, he commits to not playing in a real game for another year. I would imagine he at least considered turning down that designation.
  22. Glad to see Trey Adams, Cox Jr., Dane Jackson, Duke Williams (yeah, I admit I'm a fan), and Zimmer on the PS. Kinda feel bad for Christian Wade, as once again, he won't be allowed a chance to play in a real game. I wonder how seriously he considered turning down the special designation?
  23. Well, they just signed WR Devin Ross to their PS. So, that six WRs currently employed by the Pats*. Two kickers on the PS, and one punter on their 53. Will Miami beat them in the opener?
  24. I wonder if the toxic relationship Rodgers had with McCarthy isn't viewed as a cautionary tale by LaFleur?
  25. They also have yet to sign a WR to their PS (with ten signings) last I looked. And only five WRs on their current 53, with Edelman, and Harry as #1, and #2 respectively. 4D chess, according to their fanbase.
