  1. The majority of them are filmed in front of a live studio audience, including those that don't say it.
  2. Can you name one? I am not aware of a device called a laugh box.
  3. 75 of those yards came from Cam Newton on 15 carries. As with us, the QB was the leading rusher for the Pats*. I hope that isn't the case for us vs. Miami. Also, the Pats* air attack was anemic, to say the least. I'm hoping for a more balance offense vs. Miami, with the bulk of the rushing yards going to Motor, not Allen.
  4. I hear ya. I HATED the canned crowd noise. But, just an FYI, I work on sitcoms for a living (I'm a gaffer in Los Angeles), and they are, indeed, filmed in front of a live studio audience. The laughter is, of course, edited. But, it is recorded live, and is real. I'm often impressed with how much the audience gets into it, and will continue to laugh for multiple takes.
  5. Also, D. Phillips, and Dodson, according to the article. So, four out of six of our LBs are day-to-day with injuries. What's a season without a little stress?
  6. I absolutely despised the canned crowd noise.
  7. I think a lot of people, when looking at DT, only really look at the stat line for sacks. Sacks are great, but they're not the only metric. Darnold was pressured all game. Probably the biggest knock on him was that he was constantly fleeing the pocket, and it's true. If the QB is constantly fleeing the pocket, that means the DL are doing their jobs. It also means the defensive tackles, on the inside, are going to have fewer sacks. Ed Oliver may not have looked elite yesterday, but he was by no means a weak link, or a liability. He played really well-- the entire line did. (That includes H. Phillips, IMO, although he didn't really see the field very much, IIRC.)
  8. Overrated: Duke Williams Underrated: Duke Williams
  9. My father-in-law turns 70 on Sunday. He is the most die-hard Pats* fan you will ever meet. He, and my Pats* fan mother-in-law will be over to our house on Sunday, for lunch, and cake. We live in Los Angeles, and the air quality is so bad from the wildfires that we can't really hang outside, so they will be coming in, and social distancing themselves. There will be no watching, or even talk of football until they have left, and I will watch the game later on playback. It's going to be awkward. True story.
  10. I'm with you. I enjoy preseason games for the same reason. I think we represent about 10-15% of the fanbase.
  11. In 2018, it was JOSH'S JAGS.
  12. Levi's also listed with a hamstring injury. So, there's that... Siran Neal, who was listed as a safely last season, played quite a bit of nickel last season when Taron was out. I wonder how he would do spotting Wallace, should his hamstring prove to be an issue? I agree with other posters-- we should activate Cam (and/or Dane).
  13. I would love to see the stat for how many UDFAs made rosters this year compared to previous years. And for the ones that did make it, I wonder how their success rate will stack up? I would guess that those numbers are much lower this year.
  14. This guy strikes me as one more pundit who doesn't really pay attention to the Bills (yet), and for someone who fancies himself as a gambler, he doesn't seem to have done his homework, or follow his own advice. In the introduction, he states: "Focus on consistency. You're going to see teams who know each other, who need less practice and who have cornerstones on the roster and in personnel/coaching locked in succeed more out of the gate in my opinion." Did he miss the stat where the Bills have the most continuity of any team in the NFL going into the season? Did he miss the amount of turnover the Jets have had, including their entire O-line?
  15. Preseason games most definitely serve multiple purposes. They give the coaches an opportunity to dial in their schemes in real time. They give the coaches the opportunity to fully evaluate their rookies in a real game. They give the coaches an opportunity to evaluate free agency acquisitions for scheme fit. They give the coaches the opportunity to test various formations. They give rookies, and new players the opportunity to prove themselves to the coaches, or to showcase their development to other teams who will be looking towards final cuts. AJ Epenesa will almost certainly get less game time early in the season because he did not have the opportunity to play in a preseason game. Singletary was featured heavily in preseason last year, for good reason. I honestly feel bad for rookies, and especially UDFAs this season, and I am not alone. Several Bills players have said the same. If you don't like preseason games, don't watch them.
  16. It's a joke... 'cuz, you know Fox News, and... oh never mind.
  17. And all the virtual fans will be Trump supporters...
  18. I'm sure this has been said already, but Bojo was third in the league for dropping the ball inside the opponent's 20-yard line, behind the Pat*, and I think the Chargers. I haven't seen a stat for dropping it inside the 10-yard line, but I think he was pretty good at that, as well. To my mind, also, I feel like he got steadily better as the 2019 season went on. I'd say trust McD, and Beane on this one.
  19. There will be Jets fans calling out SAR.
  20. I thought so. They were used very differently, but I suspected that Shaq would have had a much better time filling Murphy's role than the other way around.
  21. LOL, Siran Neal called out to him, "Goddammit, you're Antonio Brown, you know that?"
  22. Well, if we did see the best of Shaq, it was last season, which was better than the season before, which was better than the season before that. Be that as it may, I doubt he misses us, either!
