Arbitrator to be fired for T.O. decision
RunTheBall replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's what I meant when I said that unions have almost done their jobs too well over past decades. They gained a lot of leverage and used it to gain concessions from employers, be it private enterprise or the government. When companies go bankrupt all those union and non-union jobs disappear. When the going gets good, unions push for increased benefits for employees, and rightly so. Its the rare union that gives back to the company when the going is bad, especially huge unions like the UAW and SEIU. I don't think that in this country employers oppress workers anymore, so the need for unions has declined. If you don't like your job, you are free to find another. There are plenty of laws in place that prevent workplace abuses for the most part. RTB -
Sending a message to a GM and owner who dont care
RunTheBall replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the only thing keeping the team in Buffalo and hopefully keeping it here when Ralph hits the box is fan support. See Cleveland. I agree that a message needs to be sent loud and clear to this organization that mediocrity is not a goal to shoot for. RTB -
Arbitrator to be fired for T.O. decision
RunTheBall replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The AMA is not a union, its a PAC. Physicians are not allowed to unionize - we get hit with anti-trust lawsuits. The health care field is government regulated, just not obviously so. I wish market forces were allowed to bear on the health care field. RTB -
Arbitrator to be fired for T.O. decision
RunTheBall replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We live with a capitalistic economic system. The purpose of any company, be it Ford, GM, whatever, is NOT to supply people with jobs. It's to make as much profit for the shareholders as possible or to supply a service to the taxpayers at the smallest cost. The purpose of Unions is to get as much for their members as possible, and who gives a **** about the shareholders or taxpayers. I think what we're seeing a lot of recently is that unions have actually been doing their jobs too well over the past decades. Companies are going bankrupt and cities are getting control boards to break the unions. What got lost for a lot of unions is that these companies do not exist to supply them with jobs and they bit too much of the hand that fed them. RTB -
Nate Clements is up for player of the game

The fact that anyone got a game ball after that abortion is simply amazing. RTB -
This is a joke right? Did I miss the sarcastic smiley or something? Mike Williams doesn't have character. A guy with character shows up to play every day. He doesn't fall apart when grandma dies and takes half the season off with that lame excuse. A guy with character uses adversity to make himself stronger, not fatter. RTB

I think before a TE you would get OT, OG, C, OG, OT, DE, DT, DT, DE. I agree that our TE's suck and have sucked for some time. Who was our last good TE? Metzellars? Campbell is a joke, Ehus sucks, and both have injury issues. Hopefully Everett will be serviceable. RTB

Assessing the 2002 Draft (and TD drafts overall)
RunTheBall replied to Fake-Fat Sunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As long as Fat Mike is on the bench and McKinnie is in the game, there is absolutely no discussion on who was the better pick. It's not like Fat Mike was replaced by a stud offensive lineman who was playing better, the #4 Overall pick was replaced by a friggin FREE AGENT TIGHT END who is learning on the job. Are you kidding me? This is one of the biggest busts in Bills history and I wish people would stop smoking crack and making excuses for this fat, lazy, over-injured, depressed, sack-giving up BENCH WARMER. RTB -
I hate this farking team. I hate everything about it right now. I'll still care if they win next week which makes me hate them even more. Somewhere up there, John Butler is laughing his ass off. I've lost faith. RTB

Hanging with Evans and Reed after the KC
RunTheBall replied to Hammered a Lot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh Reed has a couple of good outings and you want him to anchor our WR corps for years to come? The guy barely made the squad. I'm just happy he can catch the ball again considering thats what we're paying him to do. RTB -
No. You don't get a guy "used" to playing on the left side by easing him into a position you don't forsee him playing. Would you want this guy playing Left tackle when he can't handle Right tackle? Take the blinders off, he's a BUST and will likely be gone at the end of the season. RTB

What's the problem with this? She probably deserved it. RTB

Heroic Bills fight back to 2nd place
RunTheBall replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If that were the Bills, we would have tried a reverse with TKO on crutches just to "trick" the D. That's the difference between teams that win and lose. RTB -
Now THAT would be scary. A noodle-armed happy footed 1st year starting QB. RTB

Steve Czaban of Fox Sports Radio:
RunTheBall replied to philburger1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Theisman is the biggest douchebag of the bunch. I can't believe I dislike a former Buffalo guy as much as I despise Maguire. The ESPN crew is the worst in sports, period. I'd rather take Fox's 6th team over these asshats. At least we'd get some commentary on the game instead of whatever player they are blowing that week. Pathetic. RTB -
I can't believe people are even arguing this. The ball didn't just hit the ground, it friggin moved. You have to expect at least 1 of these calls playing against the Pats. It doesn't excuse the obligatory defensive collapse in the face of a little pressure. RTB

I'm sure Travis was planning on stopping at his second substance abuse violation because of his intense loyalty to the Bills. RTB

Here's how you win this game: Find me some players with some heart. This entire team collectively doesn't have the guts that one Patriots player has and I hate the Pats. You don't hear them talking crap, they just win games. But hey, we've got the best talkers in the NFL. Willis is he best back, the D is the best ever right? Maybe we could beat the Pats in a rap smackdown. RTB

Let me be the first on this thread to say that Coy Wire Sucks. Now, that being said, he actually looks pretty damn good this year because the rest of the defense is so god-awful that his pathetic play is now average for this team. RTB
-
Is there anyone who thinks Brady won't pick apart this pathetic excuse for a defense like child's play? I mean come on, we got destroyed by a horrible Oakland team. You know what that makes us? HORRIBLE. Gee, I wonder if Belichik will be able to figure out how to stop noodle arm Holcomb. I'm sure thats a tough assignment. He'll probably come out with 4 lineman and 7 linebackers because we can't throw past 15 yards with any hint of accuracy. RTB

I can't remember being this disgusted with a Bills team in my life. Even the lowest of the RJ days were light years ahead of this crap (I was born in the 70s so I don't remember the 1-13 days). Ralph is going to drop before we ever sniff the playoffs again. I hate the fact that I'm so invested in this piece of **** excuse for a team. RTB

I'm usually not one to love the flashy guy
RunTheBall replied to Corp000085's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well lets see. The last time someone on our team opened their collective mouths to proclaim they were the best they proceded to descend into defensive suckness. I like WM but he should shut his yapper, get off that stupid horse, and just play hard. Just hand the ball to the ref, that says a helluva lot more than his proclamations. You don't see even the most annoying Patriots players talking crap like this. All they have to show for it are 3 superbowl rings. RTB -
Umm, ya, ok. So the fact that we have the second worst rushing defense in the league after 1/3rd of the season doesn't factor into expecting something bad from this D? This team has demonstrated an inability to stop the run, rush the passer, and get off the field on 3rd down. It's only irrational if the team was playing well and people were expecting the worst. Expecting bad things from a bad team until they demonstrate otherwise is not irrational. One can expect the worst but hope for the best. That's the plight (sp?) of a Bills fan. RTB
-
Don't worry, the Jets rushing O will improve dramatically after facing our sieve of a D. RTB

SU football suuuuuuucks right now. But, I'm sure Robinson showed up, looked at the refuse he had to work with, and started laughing. Most of these guys were recruited to run an option offense. There are no QBs on the team, no WRs, 1 running back worth talking about, etc. I'm a little disappointed that the D sucks too, I figured Robinson would be able to get more production out of these guys. I'm willing to give him at least 3-4 years as long as we see some steady improvement. This downward spiral started a long time ago. As I tell the freshmen who call me looking for more $$$, start winning some big games and I'll think about sending more cash SU's way. RTB
