  1. Just curious, why do you say this? Both Golisano and Kelly have voiced publicly their interest in the Bills. Between them, I think they could probably arrange the financing. Not Jimbo on his own obviously, but possibly as a figurehead for a minority ownership interest. RTB
  2. Favorite memories: Watching Jets fans in the stands for years just look absolutely devastated by another horrendous first round pick. Watching the face of whatever year's "Brady Quinn" as he slid down the draft board after being hyped for months by a media that doesn't know jack. Watching Berman's eyes light up as he discussed his cab ride in Buffalo and then slipping in the name of our first round pick. Good stuff. RTB
  3. I really feel McGahee will recover from that devastating hit to his knee and we should take a flyer on him at the end of the first round instead of picking up Jones. After a year or so, I'm sure he'll regain that extra step and he will be motivated to prove his worth to a team that takes a chance on him. RTB
  4. I agree that it's pretty tasteless to give this guy the attention he was looking for but we theoretically have a free society, and a free press, so I get nervous when other people start suggesting that they know what is good or "right" for me to see. RTB
  5. The only name Al Sharpton should be worried about is Steven Pagones. For those of you not familiar with the name, that is the officer who's career and reputation were destroyed by Sharpton via the Tawana Brawley farce. The fact that Sharpton has any credibility among the African-American community after that fiasco is hypocritical. Sharpton is an evil, racist, race-baiting liar who has never seen a racial incident he wasn't willing to exploit for his own personal gain. RTB
  6. Can we please stop pretending like Coy Wire is going to even be an adequate back-up linebacker? He's on the team for one reason only: he has compromising pictures of Ralph. RTB
  7. It will be tough to beat this I think: Talkin' Proud! RTB
  8. I'd be willing to give up this years 3rd, next years 3rd, and this years 7th for Turner
  9. Exactly. Nice post. RTB
  10. I don't think it was much of a surprise that TKO was traded, and I highly doubt it had anything to do with whether TKO wanted the trade or not. Marv is too much of a high character guy to publicly dispute the claim that TKO wanted the trade. It smells like a face saving maneuver to me. RTB
  11. No. I wasn't comparing the two head to head. I think the Bills see Shaud as a 3rd down back, I didn't mention anything about my opinion of Shaud's abilities. CFLStyle: There are many guys who've caught 30 touchdowns in the Arena Football league. That means about as much as Edwards' rushing yards in the CFL. I think there are better options than a running back with a busted wheel. If you want to say "Let's bring him in for a pez dispenser and the league minimum" and use him as camp fodder, I can't argue but I don't think its a realistic option. RTB
  12. Sorry to get sand in your vagina bro, but your characterization of Dominick Williams as a "3rd down scat back" demonstrates a lack of understanding of both this player and the needs of the Bills. In the 3 years Williams played 2003,2004,2005, he had 1031, 1188, and 976 yards, respectively. Those are hardly 3rd down back numbers. Also, the Bills already have a 3rd down back in Shaud Williams, and he actually has 2 legs that work. I hear Robert Edwards is available, he blew out a knee and hasn't played for a few years either. We should give him a look. RYM
  13. It's obvious no one here has read a thing about Williams (Davis). This is an example of "I've heard the name, he could be good for us!" Williams is a running back with one leg. He's had knee surgery and has suffered setbacks in his rehab. Ya, sounds like the perfect guy to sign. RTB
  14. What's with all the "Moulds has great hands" comments? If I remember correctly, his last 2 seasons here he was dropping some catchable balls and when he did catch it on his 8-yard-hitch-when-we-need-10, he was getting tackled short of the 1st. No way Marv brings in a malcontent to this team that just started to learn how to win with some young leaders. RTB
  15. Well hell, if the Pats made the move, it simply must be the correct one. RTB
  16. I think the A-train could be a serviceable replacement for a year while splitting time with a RB we draft. Hopefully Marv will continue to address the OLine over the next years and we get to a point like Denver where you just need an average back to get the job done because your OLine is dominant. If you get a good-great back, then you're that much better. RTB
  17. If the government were to take over healthcare, you will see the biggest, quickest, exodus of physicians out of the field of medicine. This country's medical system would resemble something out of the third world because very few people with the intelligence to get into and through medical school would be stupid enough to actually do it. You're already seeing serious problems with access to care in many states - don't bonk your head outside a major metro-area because there aren't any neurosurgeons close enough to operate in a timely manner and you're dead. There will be no access to care if the government takes healthcare over and that's a fact. RTB
  18. Is it possible that Marv is bringing in Rhodes/Brown to put a little pressure on A-Train to get back in the fold? Also, McGahee seems to needs a little help getting motivated to play his best. Maybe all the trade talk is Marv's way of saying to McGahee "I don't think you're indispensable" and giving him a little chip on his shoulder to play hard. Marv is basically telling McGahee to get with the program or you're out of town. I think if the right offer came, he'd take it, but I don't see that even potentially happening until the draft. RTB
  19. The Pats aren't going to give a #1 for a damaged-goods Randy Moss. Unless they have 2 second round picks, their 2nd rounder went to Miami. The Raiders aren't going to give Moss away for a 3rd round pick. Even though I think he's on the downside, I wouldn't want to see Moss as a Patriot. The Patriots didn't even spend TO the cap last year, and it cost them in the playoffs without a go-to receiver but no one said a word. It's interesting to see them shell out some good bucks this offseason. Of course, any move they make will be a brilliant one in the eyes of the knob-gobbling Patriot-love media. Oh sorry, they got a 6 month hiatus so Peyton Manning could get his reach-around. RTB
  20. The Patriots didn't even spend to the cap last year. If Pioli/Bellichik announced they were spending to the cap, the league would start gobbling their knobs again and talk about what a strong fiscal policy it was to ensure the team's financial future. Since its Buffalo, and Ralph has been a pain in the ass to the league in trying to protect the small market teams, proving all the idiots who called him senile for voting against the collective bargaining agreement wrong, and also making the right call on Marv when eveyone bad mounthed him, of course they are going to try and put us down. Let's be realistic. We don't have the money to be spend-happy like the Redskins. We do have the money to pursue targeted free agents wich is what Marv will do. If it came down to spreading a bit over the cap and amortizing a few signing bonuses for the right people, Ralph and Marv would do it. The pressure that this fiscal policy puts on the team is that they absolutely MUST have a strong draft. You have to be able to draft good talent if you don't have FA to make up for your mistakes. RTB
  21. This is perfect political maneuvering by a psycho dictator. He's basically getting 1 million tons of fuel oil to prop up his teetering country while shutting down a couple of known reactors after he's extracted enough plutonium for a few dozen bombs. Brilliant. In a couple years when he runs out of fuel again: SURPRISE! I've got a reactor sitting over here! Back to square 1. Anyone who honestly thinks the North Koreans are going to live up to any agreement is abso-farking-lutely delusional. The only way to deal with this nut-job is to kill him. RTB
  22. If you are going to follow the NE model to build a team, which is through the draft and staying away from the high-priced FAs, you must have outstanding talent evaluators. We had a good first draft and hopefully that will continue but it's too early to draw conclusions about the Bills' ability to evaluate talent. I wouldn't be surprised to see Marv go after Steinbach or Dielman in FA and then use that 12th pick on a DB. We need immediate help in the trenches and when Nate leaves we are perilously thin at corner. McGee as your #1 CB? I'm not sure I'm happy about that. Anyway, I agree that you don't build your team in FA but you can certainly make very positive contributions at positions of need if the player is there and the price is right. RTB

  25. Spitzer is pretty easy to figure out. He went after large corporations because he wanted to be governor, he needed to get his name in the papers and they were easy targets. Simple. Next? RTB
