  1. Just comes down to the owner. Haslam is an absolute clown, Cleveland fans deserve better. He’s in competition with the Jets Woody Johnson as worst current NFL owner.
  2. Take your 4 posts and GTFO. Seriously, this is a clown post. Just because you can’t recognize this move for what it is doesn’t mean you need to pollute the board with your ignorance. I’m not going to waste any time explaining it except to say Super Bowl.
  3. If the same clowns who have been pissing all day about Beane not making a move are now going to complain about a splash contract signing, the details of which we don’t know yet, just delete your accounts
  4. 17.5 million a year for first 4 years. Backloaded according to Rapaport
  5. Boom! Wait for the details. Probably a 2-3 year deal with an out after that and some void years
  6. Isn't Mayfield guaranteed 18.9 mil from having his 5th year option picked up? So wtf are the Browns gonna do? Every team knows they want to offload him, so no one is going to pony up high draft picks for him. Those clowns are going to get near zero return on the #1 overall pick just because they couldn't be a little discreet with their interest in Watson. I feel sorry for Cleveland fans that owner is a disaster.
  7. The Factory of Sadness just keeps producing. Never been a Mayfield fan but that crap franchise (and I want Cleveland to be good) didn't do him any favors. Mayfield was over hyped and under developed by the coaching staffs. Idk if he can rebound.
  8. Some of you guys are hilarious. Bellyaching over a guy who was average at best in a corner friendly scheme while getting coverage help constantly from the best safety tandem in the league. Take a breath, McBeane didn’t want him anymore and are looking to upgrade the position since Levi was the weak link in the secondary. We will pick up a guy in FA who’s probably better than Levi, and draft a corner fairly high. The last position group I’m concerned about with this front office and coaching staff is the secondary. They excel there.
  9. Only reason I'm mildly surprised is because of the dead cap hit. It will be interesting to see what Beane has in mind for the O-line
  10. I could see Bease back with a pay cut. This front office treats their players very honestly and straight forward. I think Beane made it be known to Cole’s agent that they weren’t bringing him back at the current salary. Beane is very astute at player values, so just like Milano who he allowed to test FA before signing an extension, he’s letting Bease see if anyone out there wants to pay him 7 million. He knows there isn’t. So when Bease comes back I think Beane will offer him a reasonable competitive contract and Cole can either get cut and see if he can do better or take the offer.
  11. Are you serious with this? There are about a thousand receivers better than Foster. He had a few good games being thrown to by the emerging Josh Allen. That’s it. He wouldn’t make our practice squad
  12. The whole point of promoting Dorsey was continuity for Josh so to think there is going to be some drastic change in our offense is silly. No one knows what wrinkles Dorsey will throw in, I’m sure his understanding of NFL offenses has evolved from his college days. I think we will see a little more emphasis on the running game and I agree with McD that a more balanced attack is the best attack. At any time we like we can put 4-5 WR on the field and go balls out pass happy but that doesn’t need to be the base offense. All you guys who think we are going to see a lot less JA runs are going to be sorely disappointed. One of the reasons he’s so good is his threat of running and that will be an integral part of his game. I think everyone is just worried he’s gonna get hurt. Look at Roger’s, he ran a lot more when he was younger, runs a lot less now but it’s still part of his game other teams need to account for. I’d like to see more YAC, we were really bad at that. IDK if it was the routes, the receivers or what but we need to give our WRs more opportunity to run after the catch.
  13. Just for accuracy’s sake he didn’t use the word “awesome” but that was the vibe I was getting. Felt a little bit like “the average fan doesn’t understand the fine points of LB play that can’t be evaluated by conventional stats”. I get what he was saying but sounded like the “Sammy Watkins is a great decoy, he opens everything up for everyone else” argument
  14. I listened to it, I wasn’t too impressed with Bruce’s analysis. Now keep in mind I’m just a regular dude who has watched every Bills game for 40 years so my credentials aren’t nearly as impressive as the twitter analysts out there. I liked the Edmunds pick at the time. I’ve been disappointed he hasn’t reached the potential I thought he had. I believe McBeane love him and he’s likely to get extended. Bruce is a little disingenuous in his analysis. He first compares him to Spencer Brown and says Spencer wasn’t very good but because he’s a third round pick the fans were fine with him. I think that’s a little ridiculous because Tremaine isn’t a rookie, he’s got 4 years in the system, and he’s still just maybe a bit above average. He does acknowledge he’d like more from Edmunds but says he’s “fine” with him. What he doesn’t get into is the fact that Tremaine is going to want to be paid like a first round LB who actually makes impact plays, which Tremaine doesn’t. That’s the crux of the whole issue - how much do we pay Tremaine to be average. Bruce did get into this whole idea that we can’t really evaluate linebackers because we don’t know what their actual responsibilities are and we can’t measure the plays where Tremaine causes QB’s to go someplace else because he’s just so awesome doing invisible things that we don’t see but effect the QB. I think that’s BS and can be applied to all those other LB’s who are playing better than Tremaine too. I do think Tremaine has some impact in that regard, but I’d rather a LB who makes impact plays once in a while than a guy that eats space. So bottom line is that analysis didn’t add anything that we haven’t discussed before ad nauseum on this board in a million threads.
  15. It’s gonna be FitzMagic You know it. I know it. The Fitz curse will be broken, we win the SB, all will be right in the world.
  16. I’m 51, I’ve seen every Bills game since I can remember and that’s a LOT of bad football. I’m well into the IDGAF phase of my life, except for the Bills. With the Bills, I still get completely irrationally emotional both high and low over a stupid game and I Iove it. Because I’ve suffered so much, the highs - like absolutely OBLITERATING the Pats* are so much higher. Also, when we had 13 seconds left before we moved onto the AFC Championship I knew the game wasn’t over but even then I had a hard time believing they screwed that up so bad.
  17. We need more play designs with routes that allow for YAC. I think we were last in the league in that, with all of our air yards being Josh’s arm. Obviously we want to keep the bread and butter but a screen game along with some quick slant type routes will allow our receivers to catch and run instead of catch and fall down or go out of bounds.
  18. Has the Pats* fumbles reverted back the the league average since Deflategate? That would add some strong evidence to their cheating, not that we need anymore. Most corrupt franchise in history.
  19. Seriously? I could write a book on this topic. I’ll just narrow it down to 2 major points on why I will never get sick of seeing the Pats* lose or stop taking pleasure in the failure of their players and franchise. 1) They DOMINATED us for 20 years, rubbed our noses in it, and outright laughed at us for 2 decades 2) Pats* fans are the biggest bandwagon fans in history. They were nearly the Hartford Patriots because of the complete lack of fan support before Brady. I’ve lived in NE for 20 years, they are hands down the most arrogant, spoiled, fair weather bunch by a mile. Sure, there are a couple who know who Steve Grogan is but not many. And before their little run midway during the season, Pats* talk was SILENT around NE for the past year and a half. You wouldn’t know they existed. Most of them are Brady fans “my second favorite team is TB”. Disgusting. That’s not being a fan that’s a bunch of fanboys. In 50 years one of the top 3 games in my life was that absolute BEAT DOWN and dismantling of that crap franchise in the WC round. We put to rest any thought that there was a dynasty left. F the Pats* and their fans
  20. God I love this place. Where else can you go from FilthyBeast’s self-loathing “eveyone and everything sucks” posts to other guys worrying about replacing Ken Dorsey, who hasn’t coached 1 snap yet as OC, because he’s going to get a head coaching job next year, all in a couple of threads! I like the Brady hire. I echo other’s sentiments that we get a Munchak or Callahan as O-line coach we will be flying in to next season on offense. I don’t think it’s just Allen, but he’s a huge draw. I think this is a very well respected coaching/front office throughout the league and it doesn’t hurt to have an owner who just fracks a little more to pay them top dollar.
  21. I’m glad Daboll is gone, wish him the best as a HC. It’s not that I didn’t like him, I just think he’s gone as far as he could with Buffalo and our O. Love Dorsey being elevated to OC. I like the continuity with the EP offense and think some new blood can put a new spin on things within the context of our O. Specifically, we need more YAC (I think the lack of YAC was a function of the routes run) and we need more effective (not volume) running from our RBs, not Josh. Josh’s running will always be a part of his game, and it should be. His running is a devastating weapon to defenses and when all else fails he’s proven he can win games with his legs. But, Josh’s running should be a threat not the default. As for McD, anyone who thinks he’s even close to the hot seat is just projecting their own disappointment. He’s one of the best coaches in the NFL despite the 13 second debacle. He’s learned and evolved as a coach and will continue to do so.
  22. I would have rather seen Frazier go but it is what it is. I like Daboll, I think he deserved a HC shot so congrats to him. I think keeping Dorsey is the best option to keep the offensive train rolling. Continuity is a big element in sustained success. I think Dorsey would keep the concepts/terminology in place and then put his own wrinkles in with input from Josh. We need to include concepts that allow us to #1) Get more YAC #2) Less reliance on Josh’s legs. It blows my mind that nearly all our air yards were do to Josh and the WR catching with little YAC. That needs to be tweaked. As for Josh running, it will always be an element of his game but we have to start thinking long term durability. It will always be there if everything else is failing and they say “Ok Josh just do whatever you need to do” but it seemed to me we were way too reliant on his legs, especially in short yardage. We need to have other options which will only make Josh’s runs more effective when we do use him.
  23. Idk I like McKenzie but I see him and an easily replaceable cog in the machine. He’s a gadget guy who stepped up one big game for us when needed. The question is, do we think he can do that consistently? I don’t think so. Some team will throw more money at him than we are going to want to spend on a guy who can be replaced. He’s not a Cole replacement, he’s a completely different type of player. Beasley will be here another year prob with a contract extension/revision to clear up some cap room. We can get another speed/gadget guy to try and develop either through FA or the draft.
