  1. I think it’s the way defenses play us. We see a lot less single high safety looks than other teams which gives one on one opportunities on the outside. How many times was TB able to isolate Mike Evans on a 1-1? That rarely happens with Diggs and Davis hasn’t consistently made those catches when given the chance. I agree it seems like other coordinators make it easier on their QB. I was a big Dorsey critic early on, I think he has adjusted a good amount and Josh has trailed behind him just a bit but is catching up. Our offense can win in multiple ways now. It’s been a lot of shorter/intermediate/running game recently. That’s ok. The key is to take recognize and take advantage of the deep shots when they present themselves. The more Josh utilizes the short/intermediate game early and often, the quicker those shots will open up as the D adjusts.
  2. I think we have a battle tested, hungry and humble team ready to make their run. Plus, don’t underestimate the benefit of playing in a game without extreme weather. These guys are going to be loose and fast. Pretty simple game plan - Offense : Diggs, Knox, run the ball, play action, NO TURNOVERS Defense: Tackle. That’s it. We are going to bend the entire game and make them work down the field. If we don’t tackle, could get ugly. Burrow gets rid of the ball ridiculously quickly. We aren’t going to stop that, but we can limit the YAC. As for all the pre-game smack talk from Cinci, who cares. I love the fact they have guys running their mouths while our guys just say the right stuff and save it for the field. GO BILLS
  3. Did people really expect Tre to be back to his old form this quickly? All things considered, I think he looks pretty good out there and will slowly get better. I think Frazier/McD recognize his current limitations and will put him in a position to succeed. They saw he got smoked by Hill and was a littte slow to what should have been an interception on Fields. Still, he’s better at 75% than any other CBs we’ve currently got on the roster and I expect he will get better and better.
  4. It's the routes Dorsey calls. A ton of hitches, outs, deep crossers and few screens. Thrown in a bit of poor ball placement by Josh and there goes your YAC. I couldn't care less about this stat especially if it's made up for in air yards and passes that end in the EZ
  5. I’m a doc so take this for what it’s worth Here’s what concerns me most - Tua is getting concussed with progressively weaker shots to the head. The first “back injury” was a significant whack where get got up with legs of spaghetti. The entire viewing audience knew he was concussed but no one did a thing. Days later, he falls backward and takes a mild-moderate head bounce of the turf. This nearly turned him into a vegetable on the field. OH NOW WE’VE GOT A PROBLEM! This hit was relatively minor. It wasn’t a hard tackle, his ass and back hit first then the back of his head hit the turf. We see this type of tackle all the time. Because of his previous concussions, even a minor hit like that caused symptoms. I don’t believe for a second Tua didn’t know his egg was scrambled again. That’s three concussions in a matter of months, unless you are a FinHeaven idiot and want to call it 2. Doesn’t matter either way. Soon, Tua is going to get concussed without his head hitting the turf. Normal tackles are going to scramble his brain and THAT is the risk. He needs to be shut down for the rest of the year, given the off season to heal and re-evaluate his life, and then decide if he wasn’t to continue playing.
  6. I hate playing division teams in the playoffs. They know each other too well. The one exception was the Pats* last year and the perfect game. One of the best games I’ve ever watched and the karma of absolutely destroying The Hoodie and his ilk was poetic.
  7. I’ve read that if Jets lose to Seattle and we beat the Pats* then the Fish are in. If that’s true, it’s a very plausible scenario. As for Miami, they’ve got 3 elite guys in Hill, Waddle, and Armstead. They’ve got a very good DT in Wilkins even though he’s a douche, and a solid DE in Phillips. That’s it. Their offense has been figured out. Cover deep, clog the middle and don’t let Hill/Waddle take over. Force Tua off his first read by pressure or taking it away. That’s it. Their D is trash, DBs over-rated, LBs are meh.
  8. Umm, ahh, we did win the AFC East. Must have missed the Bears game. Now if you mean the #1 seed, I agree.
  9. Wow, GB just giving it to them. Pathetic
  10. The safety totally whiffed on the tackle too. What a horrible defensive play
  11. Horrible angle by the DB on that play. Holy crap that was Hamlin-esque
  12. He had the RB wide open in the middle. No way he could miss him he was right in front of him. Weird play
  13. McD cannot stick to what works. Love the deep shots on third and short
  14. According to the pool report from the ref, Stevenson was never wrapped up and controlled on the initial stop and that’s why they didn’t blow the whistle. Debatable, but if you watch they play again it does have some merit. Stevenson blasts into the pile, gets stopped, then kind of jump backs and tries to advance again before getting buried and stripped.
  15. If this team plays clean, they are nearly unbeatable My frustration comes from self inflicted wounds, and there were a TON in this game not even counting Josh’s TOs. The constant penalties were drive killers. Special teams was a near disaster. Hines forgot how to catch a punt for the second week in a row (conditions probably impacted that). Josh not taking the check downs a second earlier when they were playing 8 in coverage. I was a big Dorsey critic until the NE game. I think he’s adjusted and there are short or check down options available on almost every play. He’s been running the ball more consistently as well. Josh now needs to adjust quicker especially when he sees them dropping 8 in coverage post-snap. If he does that immediately they will stop dropping 8 and open up the deep shots.
  16. You have to take the bad with the good with a QB like Josh The bad is his arm arrogance and how that impacts his decision making. The good is his arm arrogance and how that impacts his decision making. Josh often is a second late to his check down because he know he can extend plays and he’s always looking deep first. There’s no problem reading deep to shallow but he has to process it quicker and get to his check down or short throw sooner. He’s a smart guy, so I’m having trouble understanding why he doesn’t understand or believe that if he hits those shorter throws earlier in the game and sooner in the play it will open up things downfield so much quicker. I don’t get it.
  17. No worries. We will get Prime Time Josh. After 2 brutal weather games we are going to come out comfortable and on fire. It’s going to be a well balanced attack with Josh not playing hero ball and our D slowing Cinci down considerably.
  18. WE ARE ON TO CINCINNATI!! Another W. That’s all that matters. I don’t care how. I think Josh didn’t take the Bears D seriously. He came out gunslinging looking for kill shots every play. You could see how late he was to the check downs because he’s milking every second he can to look deep. If he would just take the easy yards a second quicker it would open up the downfield stuff so much more. The pics were one awful decision and one awful throw. Maybe the wind got it, IDK, I didn’t care. I love James Cook. He is friggin smooth like butter and gaining confidence in every game. If Singletary walks he will be our lead back but I bet Singletary comes back on a team friendly deal. Horrible special teams, probably the elements. Without the self inflicted wounds be drop a 50 burger on the Bears. When we play clean, we are nearly unbeatable.
  19. Wow, this is some of the worst football analysis I’ve ever seen. You clearly don’t know what you are watching. Fields didn’t run because we used a contained rush with a spy. The few times he tried, he got hit early and dropped. But please, keep regaling us with your outstanding takes
  20. The NFL trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube Good luck with this. It’s only a matter of time before it impacts a game, if it hasn’t already, all because of the NFLs never ending pursuit of even more $$$ I’m not against gambling btw, just that the cat is out of the bag now and there’s no controlling it as much as the NFL will try
  21. There has never been a football game where there were both snow and fans in the stands where snowballs weren’t thrown. Never. It’s comical to listen to some moan about “the look” or like there are some rules in play when it comes to where and when you can throw a snowball BTW, they weren’t live grenades, they weren’t iceballs, it was freshly fallen snow. No one was injured and there wasn’t any high risk of injury. I’ve got an idea, if the NFL doesn’t want fans to throw snowballs maybe they should chip in cash to help remove snow from the stands? Much to do about nothing
  22. Murphy is awful. I had to listen to the Chiefs game on the radio and I actually listened to the Chiefs feed (and I hate those guys) after the first quarter because Murphy sucked so bad. I could not get a vision in my head about what was going on in the game. Zero inflection to imply a big play or a 1 yard gain. Numerous screw ups on passes complete/incomplete. Numerous times he doesn’t mention the formation or personnel changes. Flat out gets our own guys names wrong. How this guy keeps his job I have no idea.
  23. If we need to miss Poyer this is the game. We will be sitting in a 2-deep shell playing zone most of the time with a spy on Fields and eyes in the backfield. Their only playmaker on O is Fields. That’s it. He holds the ball the longest and just takes shots downfield but their O has no consistency. Play zone, rush 4 in a contained rush with a spy and limit his rushing lanes. He’s going to make some plays.
  24. Oh, you are back Sorry about your Fins loss, that must have hurt How are your boys over at Finheaven taking it?
  25. Epic eulogy for the Pats*. Couldn’t happen to a better franchise. Stupidest play in NFL history and it happened on the GOAT’s watch. Beautiful. And “planting Mac Jones into the center of the earth” is laugh out loud funny
