  1. On Polian is over the hill and his son always sucked. I hope all Polian does is evaluate QBs untill we get a franchise guy and the. Sails off into the sunset quietly
  2. Urban Meyer! Root for OSU and with championships at both schools he will have dominated cfb for years and will want to try his skills at the nfl!!!
  3. Why is Polian taking over for football operations good? His Indy teams stunk for ten years and only manning kept them afloat. Plus his son is the worst GM in the league and I'm sure bill will try to get his little boy a promotion of some type here. And why is buddy nix being axed a good thing? Our team is pretty loaded with talent since he came on board. We used to have awful drafts now they are pretty darn good.
  4. Just hire Rex. He will be so pissed and we would never lose to the jets again. Plus he can actually scheme to beats the pats

  6. Omg Polian is so over the hill! What's his position entail? Is Whaley gone?? Ugh this is a few steps in the wrong direction I feel
  7. We could probably just draft him with our second round pick
  8. Whaley also passed on Russell Wilson so obviously he isn't good either
  9. Why did we draft such a slow footed T in the first place?? Especially in a year where we were betting the farm on a playoff run??? I mean really, our OL coach was calling him a statue the first week of camp! Why didn't the OL coach attend the kids pre-draft workouts and tell Whaley to pass on the kid bc he is too slow??? Seems like a day one starter at G would have been a smarter pick than someone we knew would be a big project at best.
  10. Manual throws a football the exact same way my wife throws darts. An neither are very good at their craft. Which is the problem. Why run an offense that requires accurate passing when you do not have an accurate passer???? That's like running the wishbone when you have Bledsoe at Qb, no RB talent, and pure studs at WR. It makes no sense!!!!! build an offense for the guys you have!!!!!!!!!! Grahhhh!!!
  11. Dalton also would have gotten us into the playoffs this season.
  12. Matt Flynn and Kirk cousins would be better options
  13. Someone posted a link in another thread to a good article that stated the bills were between Beckem and ebron with the 9th pick, had they stayed. So yes, someone did have Beckem rated that highly. Isn't that ENTIRE POINT of scouting players and having a good GM ???? You want a guy who can predict which players will be the best and get the best value. Duh!
  14. No one has mentioned Matt Flynn. He has potential and is a realistic option for game manager- he is also a free agent this year coming year, coming off a 1 yr 1 million dollar contract. (Very affordable ) Yes he was beat out by Russell Wilson, which is not such a negative looking back on it now, then was traded to the raiders (no one really succeeds there) then cut and was here for two weeks while EJ was I jured( we aren't exactly the most brilliant QB evaluating team either) before we cut him and he went back to GB. He has had success in GB. His career passer rating is 86 is limited action. Yes they have a better coach and offensive scheme and yes they have better players, but if that is your reasoning for not brining him in then your problem seams to be with marrone (coaching) and Whaley (roster building) and not with Flynn. GB is a very qb driven offense. Ideally, in buffalo, Flynn would be relied on more like Alex smith than Rodger. Flynn saves us a huge amount for cap space (1 mill a season vrs ortons 5) and that 4 mil could go towards adding two free agent guards like boling and carpenter. T That all said I think adding Flynn is only one piece of the puzzle. I think the tires should be kicked on cousins and I would be willing to give up a third or fourth to give him a shot. It sounds like he or RG3 will be out of Washington and I would be up for RG3 as well if he becomes available via trade. I also think we need to draft a guy in the 2nd or 3rd round. The bills need to find someone serviceable. We cannot waste this D. Adding only one guy gives us ony one chance. Let's add three or four and give ouraelves three or four chances!
  15. Yes anyone who can please post subject matter for those who can't tune in
  16. There was nothing wrong with the hit but the refs throw that flag all the time. It's calle hitting hard and it's illegal in football now. They need to fix the rules to allow that type of hit to be normal with no flags.
  17. There are lots of QBs all over college football and the nfl who were never given 20+starts to prove they were not nfl caliber starters. What I am saying is, there are ways to determine who is worth the effort and who is not. EJ is not worth the effort.
  18. I will play devils advocate here Drafts 3 lineman and signs one free agent - and only one of those four players are any good! Why would he have ANY faith in EJ becoming any good?? No good qb evaluator would have that faith
  19. Mike smith has a good D track record right? He might be a replacement candidate for Schwartz of that happens
  20. I have to agree. Anyone who thought EJ was an NFL quarterback is lacking a lot of knowledge. The guy obviously had no talent at FSU. Then to be so convinced that EJ is going to take us to the playoffs this year? Only to get him bench four games in? Unbelievable. Also remember this team passed on the Dalton's and Wilson's of the league. We do need to bring in a consultant to find a qb. Pay Jon gruden - he meets with all those college QBs anyways. Pay Peyton manning and Eli manning - they meet these kids at their camp. Broaded the search, what we have always done is clearly not working
  21. Sounds like Oakland and Houston! Wtf!
  22. Straws are honestly all we have to grasp at. It's worth the risk, even if he can play only as good as orton he will be cheaper and we can take that 7 mil orton makes and sign Iupati or boling
  23. Is love to land Iupati but I thin boling is a better bet when price is considered. Plus I expect a guy like Levitre to get cut and then take a lesser deal in his new town. The saints for example, are in cap trouble and have two of te highest paid Gs in the league (in terms of cap hit) in Ben grubs and Jaheim Evans. I'd love to get someone like Grubbs and boling
  24. Not trying to dog Whaley, but if we are going to be technical, Buddy Nix was acting GM when we drafted Dareus, Traded for Hughes, signed Mario, drafted Bradham and Kiko, and drafted Gilmore Searcy A williams Robey and D williams. K Willaims and McKelvin were hold overs from before Nix. That leaves drafting Preston Brown and signing Brandon Spikes as starters since Whaley took over. I still believe Whaley had a lot to do with those Nix drafts, which is why I think he should stay, but that means he also had a hand in drafting Manual (huge Bust) Drafting Spiller and trading Lynch (Big Mistake) Drafting Tourelle Troup over Gronk (huge Mistake) losing a 1st round pick to move up for Watkins and then whiffing on Kunjo with a high second rounder stinks. Without a doubt I think he should stick around, because we are 1-2 players away from really competing, but lets not act like Whaley built this team.
  25. The Eagles didn't have Sammy #1 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/12/24/chip-kelly-thought-odell-beckham-jr-was-best-wr-in-draft/ If you look at it with context, Beckum still dominates.
