Belichick should get a Sean Payton-esque punishment
peterpan replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Forget that. After spyware he should have been given a lifetime ban. This is just as deserving as he hasn't learned his lesson -
Incognito as a cheap fix at Guard??
peterpan replied to gball77's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dont feel bad OP. Threads like this often get roasted. Then the player goes to some other team and plays well, while us Bills fans are wishing we had someone like that guy. Exactly that happened with Jonathan Martin of all people. -
perfect fit for our new smash mouth O. He is a guy who can carry EJ

Belicheat would have 0 super bowls if they didnt cheat their way to win them
-
How anyone can still regard Belicheat and Brady as the best of the best is just incredible to me. They cheated. They are still cheating. They would not have this success with out all this cheating. You can deny that they still get the other teams signals and plays in advance. You can deny that, at home, they are not purposely messing with other teams communications (but they still are). These guys are frauds plain and simple. Bernie Madoff. Enron. Barry Bonds. Mark McGuire. These losers are in the same boat Bradys helmet stays on. The offensive coach gets the illegal signal from the other teams defensive coach. He relays if its a blitz, if its man, if its zone, etc. He tells brady where the open guy will be or if they should audible. This has all been reported before. Watching them play. It is obvious to me that this still happens. There is no way that the Pats ALWAYS call the right play to beat the other teams D. It does not happen like that for any other team across the entire NFL. They are cheating.

New England Patriots caught deflating game balls
peterpan replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So all you fans out there that think this cheating is no big deal, did you also think it was OK what te Enron executives did??? Is Bernie Maddoff your go to for investment success??? Do you think Barry bonds is the better hitter or hank aarron?? Is lance Armstrong still your cycling idol? What about the 2004 season where the bills missed the playoffs by half a game? They lost to the Pats twice. The patriots cheated in both those games. And for the record, they are still cheating here ten years later. Maybe they cheated in our two games this year too? Maybe we make the playoffs if we win that first pats* game. Maybe marrone never quits. That saves Pegs 4 million bucks. Etc etc. If this was baseball or the NCAA all othe pats wins would e vacated and records erased. That's a fact -

Here is a topic that may need its own thread, if the NFL lets teh Pats go for cheating (again and again and again) what can the Bills do to cheat their way to 3 or 6 super bowls??? I be manuel, Losman, Edwards, etc would be MUCH better quarterbacks in they knew the other teams defenses before they even snapped the ball!!!! I bet our D would be even better if they stole all of the other teams audibles!!!! Does this look like the best QB of all time to you? Or does he look like a guy who might require some extra [read illegal] help to win?? -

Belicheat is the bernie madoff of football except rather than being tarred and feathered the guy is put on a pedestal and honored for being so successful in his cheating. And if Belicheat is bernie madoff then Brady is Sandusky. Honeslty, people who are hoping the Cheats get punished are oblivious. The NFL will not admit the Cheaters cheated. NOt on the heals of the SB. They dont want to bring a negative light to the game. This is the league that actuvely covered up the Spygate scandel to save their asses because 3 suberbowls were compromised by these cheaters. -
New England Patriots caught deflating game balls
peterpan replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep. its painfully obvious something is not right. Luck barely got the snap before having immediate pressure and all his receivers were blanketed. Meanwhile Brady looks like he doing a 7 on 7 walk through. This same stuff happens week after week after week. Its not that hard to defend a slant pass or a flat pass. There is obviously something fishy going on in NE. -

Yes it sure did affect the game. Thats why it is ILLEGAL to deflate the football, because it affects the game. IT WAS A TEN POINT GAME AT HALFTIME. -

I think its important the note that while most people remeber Spygate for taping other teams signals, it was much much more than that. "But it wasn’t just a matter of filming opposing team’s coaches — it was also how that information was allegedly passed to Brady. As the scandal broke, the NFL was investigating a possible violation into the number of radio frequencies the Patriots were using during the Jets game, sources told ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, who reported at the time that the Pats did not “have a satisfactory explanation when asked about possible irregularities in its communication setup during the game.” Quarterbacks communicate with the sidelines via microphones in their helmets that pick up an NFL-monitored radio frequency. An NFL sideline official cuts off communications on this frequency 15 seconds before the play clock runs out. Offensive plays would be called based on stolen signals and the information relayed straight to Brady’s helmet, O’Leary theorizes. In this scenario, the extra frequency is critical, as it allows the team to do something in real time with the stolen signals, out of earshot of the NFL monitor, and change its plays accordingly. If there’s an open channel during the play itself, you can also alert the quarterback to open receivers he may not see. O’Leary repeats a rumor that Pats backup quarterback Doug Flutie once said he accidentally picked up Brady’s helmet during the 2005 season. “He was amazed that the coaches kept right on speaking to Brady past the 15-second cutoff, right up until the snap,” according to O’Leary. “The voice in Tom Brady’s helmet was explaining the exact defense he was about to face.” That same year, Pats linebacker Ted Johnson told USA Today that an hour before game time, a list of the opposing team’s audibles — the signals a QB would use at the line of scrimmage just before a snap to change the play — would sometimes appear in his locker. He had no idea where the lists came from. Three years later, he said he was as surprised as anyone to hear about the cheating allegations. http://nypost.com/2014/10/12/they-are-cheaters-spygate-the-nfl-scandal-that-started-it-all/ I think people are very very right to question how good Tom Brady really is. I mean, he stands there un touched and throw 5 yard passes to wide open wide recievers. He knows the Defense before the snap. He is told about it in his helmet. Jamarcus Russel could win with that info -

This is another tarnished season for the Cheatriots* and Belicheat* The NFL is not enforcing the declared ineligible rule properly and they are gimmickly beating teams because of it. NO WAY they beat Baltimore without that deception. Declaring you are ineligible as your team breaks the huddle is not giving the D a reasonable amount of time to adjust, as the rule states is required. They under inflated the footballs - DELIBERATE cheating. AGAIN. They cheat beacuse a slap on the wrist for a super bowl is NOTHING!!! The Pats opponents are ALWAYS reporting to have "problems" with their communication during games. Like the QBs headset goes out on a critical third down etc. This is not new or old. Its always in the news. They are cheating!!! Watching that Patriot offense last night, There is zero doubt in my mind, they are still getting the other teams defensive calls. Its just the most simple offense in the world. They either A) run the ball straight ahead with no counters or mis direction, B) throw a 3 yard flat pass to a wide open WR, C) 5 yard drag route to a wide open WR or D) throw it up the seam to Gronk. With that type of techmo-bowl offense teams should easily be able to stop them. BUT! The pats always seem to have the right play called at the right time. If there happens to be a blitz, WOW! The pats called the perfect play to exploit it. Coincidence? nope, more like CHEATING!! Seriously? When was the last time the Bills called a Screen pass on the same snap where the D called an all out blitz and it worked so super well? NEVER! The Pats do that type of 'wow what a play call' for 9 plays in a row on a 9 play TD drive! its ridiculous. I am still in shock and aw that the Pats Super Bowl wins were not vacated. It makes business sense for the NFL to just gloss this over and pretend it didnt happen, as cheating your way to the superbowl and admitting it happened could diminish your product. Thats one line of thinking. The other is now, I have no respect for the League and basically think it is rigged. The Patriots are still cheating and every fan knows it. Every football fan outside of NE with be rooting for the Seahawks because they hate the cheating Patriots. A proper punishment for Spygate would have been vacating all of those wins, SB, playoffs, regular season, everything. Then you Suspend Belicheat for LIFE. yes, a LIFETIME ban from the NFL. That would be a fitting punishment for the !@#$ign loser. But to me that is stll not enough. I'd give the Patriots Org the NFL equivalent of the NCAA 'Death Penalty' and not let them have a team for two whole years. Everyone on their roster is a Free agent. Not draft picks for two years. Then let them come back as a expansion franchise. That may be unrealistic tho, Im not sure how you have a division like the AFCE with only 3 teams in it? But who cares, figure that part out. Cheaters are cheaters and they were not properly dealt with the first umpteen times. But now the NFL has another chance to PROPERLY deal with these cheaters. They make them forfeit the game. PLain and simple, you got caught cheating, you forfeit. Colts go to the Superbowl. I really hope the Colts file a lawsuit about this or something. This happened here in Section 5 football this year, Aquinas is a football powerhouse and has a QB getting recuited by Notre Dame and the like. He got injured this year and sat out a few games. Because he stood on the sideline in sweatpants instead of dressing and wearing his pads, he, by rule, was not eligible to play in the sectional playoffs. But he played, and after beating Pittsford, they made an issue of it. Whomever the ruling body was, ruled that Aquinas would have to forfeit and Pittsford advanced even though they got manhandled in the game. THATS WHAT REAL ORGANIZATIONS DO. The NCAA would vacate ALL of the Patriots wins and suspend their football team for 2 years. HS football would make the Pats forfeit and let the Colts advance. This is exactly what the NFL should do to these CHEATERS And you know what, the Bills should file a grience too. Yes we suck and yes we have sucked for a long time. But do you know what? I bet you dollars to donuts the Patriots cheated when they beat us at home this year. I gauren!@#$ingtee it. The Bills could have made the playoffs with that win. Then Dougy M doesnt quit. Schwartz doesnt leave. Think of the money Pegula spent just on jet fuel flying around looking for a new coach. Ill go back even further. in 2004 the Bills missed the playoffs by 1 game by going 9-7. Yep, I just checked, 2 loses to NE. TNE cheated in BOTH of the games, as we know now from Spygate. That could be two wins, heck even one win, and the Bills make the playoffs!!! We are a schit franchise but we have been good enough a few season to make it in. But we cant beat the Patriots AND their cheating. The suckballs -
Changes to Draft/Game Rules to Overcome Good QB Dearth?
peterpan replied to Fadingpain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The real answer is to make it harder for the great QBs to do what they do. Bring them down to the level of the EJs and Orton is more realistic. That way the difference in great and ok is not so aignificant. Defensive illegal contact should notbe a penalty period. Or at a minimum- not an automatic first down. Only pass interference should be called an with that, make it a 15 yard penalty like in college ball. then you allow the OL to get away with more holding so that the slower QBs can still have time to find an open guy. That way the QB position becomes more about throwing an accurate pass to a decently covered WR than deciphering WTF the D is doing. The NFL also needs to go back to the rule were as long as a screen pass or dump off is completed behind the LOS, other players can already be blocking down field. This would create more of a bubble screen game which really does help lower level QBs -
WHAT?!?!?! Sign me up, we need a QB!

OSU's Cardale Jones considering NFL jump
peterpan replied to Punch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can tell you what, If I was allowed to, I would trade Cardale Jones for Cyrus Kouandijo. What I am saying is, YES HE IS WORTH A 2ND ROUND PICK. Physically this guy has much more to offer than EJ. Sign a stud G or two and I am envisioning the Steelers 1st SB run with Big Ben at the helm. Hmmm -
we could have if we purposely tanked the season!!! I hope everyone is enjoying that memorable 6-10 season we had while the colts are in the playoffs!

OSU's Cardale Jones considering NFL jump

Exactly. I have seen enough of what I needed to see of EJ. EJ never played near this level in 4 years. And yes, other than 3 starts, I dont see many things not to like. -
OSU's Cardale Jones considering NFL jump
peterpan replied to Punch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he seemed to read those defenses well. He went deep when he could. He threw to single coverage and gave his WRs a chance. And a coach sitting down with the kid in the film room would be able to get o the bottom of that question in an hour or so. I was more impressed with Him than Mariotta and people want him as the #1 overal pick -
Spiller sounds like he is likely to come back

OSU's Cardale Jones considering NFL jump
peterpan replied to Punch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont believe we are allowed to link bleacher report articles but here is a quote from one on this topic: "He has to go back,'' said Phil Savage, executive director of the Senior Bowl. Savage is also the former general manager of the Cleveland Browns and director of player personnel for the Baltimore Ravens. "Jones would be a midround developmental candidate at best.'' I was able to watch all three of his games and I think that kid is a real gamer. His pocket presence is great - much better than EJs. His mobility is great - better than EJ. He is BIG like Roethelsburger. He has a huge arm - better than EJ. Accuracy looks decent, he completes big throws that are completions in college but would likely be defended by tighter coverage in the NFL. Its impossible to tell how well he was reading defenses with the TV angle but it did appear to me that he went deep with his passes when he could and that he found his check down routes when he was under pressure. IMO this is the type of guy a team really should take a flyer on. Physically, he is a beast.
