  1. I just don't see anything - anything - that could justify taking Darnold in the top 5-10. Mentally he could start as a rookie, maybe, but physically.. woof. Other than throwing on the run, he needs to completely re learn every physical aspect of quarterbacking. Footwork pocket movement his throwing motion. He is gonna lead the league in sacks and turnovers wherever he goes. I HAVE- HAVE - to think the Bills and Giants want Rosen. I could see the browns or Jets liking Allen. And the Jets taking slippery thirds, but I don't see the Bills moving up for Darnold.
  2. I'm kinda confused? You like that he held the ball a little too long, then threw a bad pass which in the NFL might have been a pick six, while drifting from the pocket and creating pressure which otherwise isn't there????
  3. Here is a video that explains some ofwhat I'm talking about. It's long winded but pretty good.
  4. These are pure rankings and have no position importance factor. A freaking Guard in the top 5??? When the Pats traded Logan Mankins no one noticed. How do you think their fair without Brady??? EXACTLY!
  5. Making it sound that simple is disingenuous. They look very closely at ball placement and timing. They look at movement within the pocket and foot work. For Mayfield, all of those things I mentioned project somewhere between needs work and very poorly to the NFL. Sure it worked in college, but the NFL graveyard is littered with guys with Mayfield's college stats.
  6. Quoting erroneous college stats means nothing and kinda shows how little ones knows......
  7. Seems like some pretty accurate rankings for QB. Depending on how the chips fall, I can see 2-3 of those top 5 falling outside the top 10 and into the 20s or so.
  8. Mayfield actually creates trouble for himself in the pocket, but drifting into pressure or not hitting his reads when they are open, or anticipating the routes.
  9. I have a feeling that NFL fans like Mayfield a whole lot more than NFL teams.
  10. Id love to see Tebow, Manzeil, some other exciting college players get a shot. With those big names you will certainly sell tickets.
  11. This wasn't an issue untill like 4-5 years ago. I think that catch standards used from 1898-2004 should work fine. PS I think one way to make the catch easier to rule upon AND give the NFL more scoring, which it wants, is to make it only one foot down, like college.
  12. i think everyone will be surprised. I think a lot of these guys could fall. Mainly because I dont see 3-4 good QBs. So I doubt they all go early
  13. Seriously? These guys will throw more passes in the average NFL practice than in these workouts. Heck I am sure they are throwing 4-5 days a week right now.
  14. They will win or get very close. The NFL will make sure of it. They need to sell PSLs at that new stadium of theirs....... I've been saying this for years. I'm not surprised at all they magically made the playoffs this year.
  15. Taylor slowed down the rush with his feet. Players couldnt pin their ears back because he could escape the pocket. So they slow played the rush. There is a term for this, muddle rush maybe? I'm having a brain fart with the term. If you want to see what our OL looked like when that threat was removed, look at the SD game. Peterman was hit on a 3 step drop and threw an INT. That's like, impossible.
  16. I know that's the consensus on internet forums but I just don't see it.
  17. You can't possibly be watching the same game? I found this clip and he looks so god awful! His ball placement is terrible. His mechanics are awful. He is late on his reads and misses reads and gets himself into trouble. This guy is a turnover machine.
  18. I didn't miss it, it took that to mean he scrambles for yards. Usually after he misses a read and faces unessecary pressure in the pocket etc.
  19. Bet the farm on Rosen. Ask the browns what they want, then say yes to whatever they ask for. Rosen is the chosen one
  20. I don't understand the love for Darnold at all!! Even those scout quotes of him they don't mention his quarterbacking only to say his motion stinks and he fumbles a lot. Then the quotes for Rosen are he has a perfect arm. Perfect mechanics, and says he is the best pure passer since drew brees.....So um why isn't he number 1??? Because he is a little skinny??
  21. I gotta say..... I don't see anything in Darnold game that would warrant such a rating.
  22. Dear God this is why we do need another forum. You cant use proper grammer and its my fault for not wanting to read 4 pages of bickering??? Stop being such a dik
