I stopped saying that years ago. Fact is the players I want are better than the players the bills take 100% of the time. I no longer trust the bills rather I assume they are idiots and I haven't been proven wrong yet.
We with rue the day we passed on Josh Rosen. Even if Allen doesn't bust, it will still be Ken OBrian over Marino.
Barring injury setbacks, Rosen is the next Brady/Manning/Brees caliber caliber QB. Matt Ryan is his floor. The other guys might be Kirk cousins. But Allen is most likely to be out of the league in 5 years.
Man. This year, with all the QBs to evaluate, I've really realized how similar my views of these guys are with some of the real experts. Bills should hire me as a scout :-)
It's just so painfully, blatently, glaringly obvious to me that Rosen is leaps and bounds ahead of every qb in this class and I'm down right shocked he isn't already in Cleveland and dear good Lord Jesus if he sounds winds up in Buffalo I will lose it.
QB is a 15 year investment. Its the engine of the car. Wrs are tires and OL is brakes. You changes them out often and replace them. But the engine is there for the life of the vehicle
I'm along that line too. Especially if the Pats get Rosen. Say hello to another 20 years like the last 20 where the pats beat us with a record 32-2
Rosen is the best to come out in years. He is already the second best QB in the AFCE.
Drafting Rosen is like drafting a super bowl apperence
Rosen, and I'm right 9 outta 10!
If we get Rosen, I'm 100% certain we have our franchise guy, provided he can stay healthy. With Darnold, I feel it's a 50/50 toss up if he can improve and become good enough to be a true franchise QB.
I think a lot of fans as usual are overlooking the flaws that a spread offense can hide. Mayfield is good but not great at many things. Slow with his reads and poor or rather inconsistent footwork. I won't be surprised if Mayfield falls in this draft. I could see him doing well in a few years, right system etc, but I could also see him flame out.
If we pass on a trade to two, or 5, or draft the wrong guy, and Rosen somehow ends up in the AFCE being Tom Brady 2.0 then I quit. I refuse to follow the bills while Rosen runs the division for 15 years!!!!
Josh Allen with all his faults is still light years better than EJ was.
He is not my top choice as I don't feel he is ready to start day one which is what we need. He also needs to improve a lot in his game which these days simply doesn't happen very often when these kids are asked to start right away. We do not have the luxury of sitting him for 2-3 years.
However he does show flashes of doing this very very well, just inconsistently. I feel much better about him as a prospect than other who also need work.
