  1. Even if we lose to that patsies* we will still be tied with them record wise, and with Spiller and Jackson back we should have a great chance to split the series by winning the second meeting. I think that Jackson should start but maybe get half the load he usually would. Run him a few times, use Choice too, then start using Fred for a lot of play action passes, where his knee should be OK. I think Choice is adequate to carry the load and get production.
  2. I personally think the real refs are just as bad as the replacement refs. They also need to fix replay - half the time they review it and still get the wrong call (like Fitz 'fumble' and Scotts INT that shouldn't have been in week one). Is it true that when they loof at the replay they can't zoom in or slow it down? I have heard that they have to watch it in real time? Thats retarded.
  3. Solder sucks. He should have been flagged for holding 10 times on KELSAY in last years game, but alas there is never a holding penalty on the Pats OL.
  4. The way he was holding it it looked like a seperated shoulder (not dislocated, they are different). I have seperated my right and left in the past, and depending on the seerity of them you could miss 8 weeks or go back in the game with a brace the way Locker did last week. There are three ligaments that hold the shoulder joint in place, and you can seperate 1, 2, or all 3. The way he landed it looked like he may have sperated the one which holds the shoulder joint out, ie keeping it from being pushed in toward the body, and maybe the one that holds it up to the collar bone too. Being a running back, they may be able to brace it up and lock his arm in place and he will be back sooner rather than later. But we probably wont be able to pass to him too much as he wont be able to lift his one hand above his head. Is Jackson really going to be back? That would be huge.
  5. hahaha he removed the video ahaha. I wanted him to do a better version so I could hear the lyrics better lol
  6. The NFL should just adopt the college rule of once a knee is down, you are down, regardless of being touched. That way a hit like this isnt needed. Under the current rules, it is needed, and you shouldn't be fined for it. He hit with the shoulder into the body and the only reason the guy got knocked out was bc his helmet slammed into the turf. This is another 100% BS fine from the NFL. Why would players learn to hit cleanly when they get fined for hits regardless? If the NFL wants to be stupid with their what is and isnt a catch ruling too, then players will try to hit guys to jar the ball out. If once a ball is caught, they say its caught and you dont have to maintain complete BS possession to the ground and blah blah blah, then there will be less of a reson to try and jar a ball loose when a guy catches it.
  7. More like his phone number and a hotel room
  8. Well if I'm the Jets I don't let that reporter back in the locker room. I dont care if Scott was out of line, I wouldn't risk a reported being the reason a player of mine is suspended.
  9. Was how our boys, specifically the OL werent afraid to get chippy after the play! they stuck together and made it known they wouldn't take any sh*t from anyone. I think that speaks volume for team building! I also liked how Chan FINALLY stuck to the run! When Fitz throws its scary!
  10. Look at where the ball was thrown from, and look at where it ends. Thats all the matters. When I do that, I see forward pass. If you look at the flight of the ball relative to the yard line, it appears to move backward, but it is an optical illusion caused by the ball getting closer to the ground as it crosses the feild.
  11. Did we block a PAT or hold them to fields gols on two drive? 49-2 is more likely.
  12. FWIW, I watch TV, including ESPN, and I didnt seen the comments Harrison made. I only read about them on this site. So unless Mario is a member, he likely hasnt read them either.
  13. His first pick was picked because it was thrown late, not because the ball wasn't in the right place. Albeit he coulda gotten it there if he had an arm like Farve or Vick or Cutler, but his smarts is what lacked on that thrown, not arm strength or accuracy.
  14. The Redskins gave up two 1st and a 2nd to move up 4 spots in the draft for RG3. Granted its been one game, but does anyone think they over paid? I don't expect them to 'wake up' tomorrow with a QB, I expect them to go out and get one. They have had over 10 years to get one and they should have gotten a very good one by now. The opportunities have been there. Period.
  15. Because other teams get better and the Bills dont?
  16. Again this isn't a hindsight thread, saying 'we shoulda drafted that guy!!!' We are discussing why the Bills havent made a number of moves that would have solidified the most important position in football.
  17. Dude, skip the game and enjoy the beach! DVR it if you have to, but I'm sure you wont miss anything
  18. I saw Lankster was out there for the Jets on Sunday. He was pretty solid for us before we cut him. I can't help but wonder why McKelvin is still on the team, no way he makes the Jets roster....but Lankster did.
  19. I think you mis-read my post (which is understandable). I wasn’t saying the Bills should have drafted Cutler, I was saying that they could have traded for him when he left Denver for Chicago. At that point he had proved himself as a very good, ‘franchise’ QB (yet granted, he is not elite). And yes, they still didn’t trade for Cutler, but why? At that point, 99% of the fans could tell Edwards was trash. So then the Bills either A) didn’t try to improve the position or B) are that incompetent they still believed Edwards was the savior. I'm not sure which is worse, lack of effort or incompetence, but I would at least feel better about my team actively trying to get better, rather than passively hoping they get better.
  20. For my entire fandom the Bills have lined up their DBs with 8 yard plus cushions. It doesn’t matter if its 3rd and 30 or 2nd and 1, there is always some DB with an 8yard cushion. This has been consistent across many different regimes and I just don’t get it.
  21. Well if you believe you can't discuss the past without it being hindsight then that is your opinion. Other people rather can point to the past as evidence of a trend that is still current and relevent. Actually I picked those players because they were completely realistc options for us. Do you think Brees wanted to go to the completely devastated NOLA area - to a team that at the time was just as bad as the Bills? Vick would have went ANYWHERE and he had a great chance to start here. The other were trades/draft picks so its not like the players had any say.
  22. Exactly my point. The last time the Bills made a move for a QB - the single most important position on a football team, who can single handidly turn a franchise around, WAS IN 2004 2004 2004 2004 2004 2004 2004 No it's not.
  23. He has undoubtedly earned the 10-12 carries a game Chan will give him
  24. For the record, this is not a hindsight/whiner/woe-is-me thread. This is a thread that just shows you have to gamble and take a chance to get a stud QB. And we all know stud QBs are the only way to win consistently in today’s NFL. The Bills haven’t even TRIED to get a good QB in here in the last 8 years. Sure they traded for Bledsoe – that was ten years ago. Losman sucked – but at least they tried to get a QB! I just wish they tried harder for one of the good ones, and that was what – 8 years ago? If Brady retired at the end of the Season – would the Pats wait 8+ years to sign or draft or trade for a good QB? NO gambled on Brees with his injury– why didn’t the Bills? The Bears gambled on Cutler who is a whiney b*tch– why didn’t the Bills? The Ravens gambled on Flacco who was a D1AA player– why didn’t the Bills? The Texans gambled on Schaub who had only started 6 or 7 games– why didn’t the Bills? The Eagles gambled on Vick who killed dogs or something– why didn’t the Bills? The Raiders gambled on Palmer who sat out and was ready to retire– why didn’t the Bills? The Bengals gambled on Dalton who the entire league passed on– why didn’t the Bills? The Packers gambles on Rodgers when they still had a HOFer on the roster– why didn’t the Bills? How do the Bills think they are going to find a franchise QB without signing one in FA, trading for one, or drafting one? Fact is the Front Office needs to sack up and bet their careers on a guy and they just don’t seem to have the balls to do it. And, as you can see, there have been plenty of opportunities to do just that - its not like there have only been bums out there for the taking. *I do think the poster who mentioned the Bills FO likely thought they had a franchise guy has a point – but that just points to more ineptitude in this teams FO and is not an excuse IMO.
  25. Drew Brees – as a FA got little to no interest and went to a bad team in NO that was destroyed by Hurricane Katria. We neglected to pursue. Joe Flacco – drafted 18th overall. We have Leodis McKelvin Jay Cutler – Traded for two 1st and a 3rd, instead we have/had Aaron Maybin, Spiller, and used the 3rd to trade up for Levitre Carson Palmer - Traded for a 1st and a 2nd, we have Gilmore and a 2nd in next year’s draft (he looked pretty good in the game last night, granted I only watched the first half) Andy Dalton – Drafted 2nd round, we have Aaron Williams Matt Schaub – Traded for 2 2nds in 07 and 08, we had Poz and James Hardy Vick – Free Agent we neglected to pursue. Other guys we could have drafted, without trading up or any other BS include: Aaron Rodgers, Locker, Gabbert, Ponder, Russell Wilson, K Cousins, Colt McCoy, Mallet, Tebow, Brandon Weeden. We also could have tried to trade for Kolb or Cassell or pursued Matt Hasselback in FA. Who knows who I am forgetting, but when are the Bills going to sack up and TRY – JURT TRY – to get a FRANCHISE quarterback?. ***For the record I am not saying we should have gotten all of these players, I am just pointing out all of the players we have passed on over the years.
