Predictions - Bills v. New England*
peterpan replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea, I see there is a lot of optimism on the board. God bless you guys... But I think we get crashed. 42-17, most of the Bills points in the 4th. -
Did you buy EA Sports Madden between 2003 and 2012?
peterpan replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Sweet! I bought it on the PS2 until like 2010! I even bothered to fill out the form I got in an email a few montsh back. I wonder if I'll really get 200 bucks int he mail? hahaha -
Brady will be retiring in a few years and Tebow has already shown he has what it takes to win games. With a few years of developing under Brady/McDaniels he will take over for Tommy Boy and likely crush us for the rest of his career. I wouldnt mind a 7-4 record either.

Maybe I am cold hearted, but if you can operate without those employees, why keep them on staff? It would seem you don't really need them, right? If you don't make these cuts, when their ratings/viewers are likely down (internet, NFL Network) then eventually they will get into trouble. I know I know, 'they aren't going anywhere' - 'they are too big to fail' Well tell that to GM and Chrysler, both of whom, DID fail, and Chrysler did TWICE! Two times in the last 40 years. I guess those job-banks weren't such a good idea after all? The job banks where instead of firing people GM just paid them to sit in a room and play checkers....for 30 years!

More EJ love, from CBS Sports: good quotes
peterpan replied to l< j's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Id say its very likely we are running the spread this year. We drafted 2 WRs high, then signed a 1-2 rd talent who went undrafted, on top of the WR we added last year and signed a few more undrafted WRs and drafted a spread TE And we already have CJ. I see shotgun 4 wides all damned day -
Ive seen Kolb and T Jackson play. There is no way in hell T Jackson is behind Kolb on the depth chart. No friggin way. Im not sure where EJ will be, but Kolb will not be the starter.

Florida Legislature refuses giving aid to Dolphins...
peterpan replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now if the 49 other states would follow suit we might be getting somewhere. Expecting tax payers to fund NFL stadiums is ludicrous. The NFL makes over 9 billion a year collectively and people without the slightest interest in football are forced to pay the bill? Its fascist and its criminal. -
I wonder what their excuse will be when Vince Wilfork single-handedly stops our offense from producing in the opener. Just because your offense doesnt put much importance on the position doesnt magically make it not important.

4th round options (merged threads)
peterpan replied to Bills Fan since '64's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Injury is more reason to take Jones. We wont be competing next year, get a 3rd or 2nd round O lineman in the 4th because he has a hurt foot and just wait a year for him to be ready, or put him on the PUP list for 6 weeks, its nothing in terms of a ten-15 yr career PS if we keep Wood long term, Jones could take Levitres vacated spot. -

I think Jessee WIlliams is still available too. He is a stud -

Id love me Barrett Jones. Call me crazy but I thought he was better than Warmack. I also want Marcus Lattimore. He will be healthy by the time FJ is burnt out, and would have been a 1st round pick without the injury. I Also want to see a 2nd QB drafted. Im not putting all my eggs in one basket. Nassib is a guy who would be a great backup/insurance starter if EJ doesnt pan out. We could use a Saftey or CB depending on if they move A Williams. Maybe the S from Cuse? CB - Im not sure who And Id love a TE but taking two WRs already, that to me says we wont be using a TE very often (which I think is horrifically dumb, but thats just me) PS Dar'Rick Rodgers is the type of player the Bills would remove from their board completely IMO -

I agree with this. 50-50 chance is Manuel is a bust, thats just a historical average. I really like Nassib with a quick release and strong arm, and he knows our staff. But cut Kolb. He is a bum, Tavaris is at least .500 as a starter, Kolb is Trent Edwards but worse -

Rd 1, Pick #16: QB EJ Manuel - Florida St.
peterpan replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel for John C here. He is right, I agree. He is angry, and I get why, we are going to watch 2-4 years of bad football out of Manuel before we get a new coach and GM and new QB to try to be good agai n, for the 7th or 8th time in a row..... I stopped believing in the Bills scouting staff over a decade ago. There is no reason to have any faith in them. They stink. The fact that they picked Manuel is actually more of a sign that he will suck, rather than be good. -
Buffalo Leads Nation in Draft TV Ratings
peterpan replied to BRAWNDO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Two things: 1- more evidence the NFL will never leave Buffalo. 2- It's quite sad really, we have been so bad for so long that the draft is more exciting than the games. -
Rd 1, Pick #16: QB EJ Manuel - Florida St.
peterpan replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont really like Manuel. I thought he processed info very slowly on the field and was a one-read QB. I was very glad we traded back, but pissed we didnt do it again. Once we got passed the Jest at 13 there were no teams needing a QB until the 2nd round. If we could have added more picks, that would have been great, and if we missed out on Manuel, I wouldnt have cared honestly. Now please get a damned TE for our new QB to throw to! -
I ignored need completely because we honestly have a need at every single position save 1 or 2. Honey Badger is a 1st round talent, not bad for a 3rd round pick. Same goes for Lattimore, he is a top 15 pick without the injury. He will sit out this season, and be back for 2014, which is perfect because Freddie will be spent after this season in all likelihood. And TE is one of the most important positions in the NFL these days

So everyone does a mock, and on the Eve of the draft, so will I. But I'll do mine with rules. I used CBS Sports site: ihttp://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/mock-draft/round/2 If 2 of the 4 people had selected a player before the Bills pick, I could not pick that player. IE my top two choices are Ansah and D Jordan but I couldn't pick them bc they are 'gone' 3rd and 4th rounds I just picked guys I hope are there. In round two, if 1 of the two people had selected a player, he was gone too. So here it is: 1- Bark Mingo, OLB/DE LSU. J Jones is passed on due to medical* 2- Zach Ertz, TE Standford (wanted Elam SS from FL but he was 'taken') 3- Honey Badger, CB LSU 4- Marcus Lattimore, RB SC I dont think any of these QBs are that great, so I didnt take one. I also think that with as many holes as we have, and still having no QB, we should just take the best players we can because next year is a wash IMO.

Yea Manuel reminds me of one of those guys in HS who you would have get off the bus first to intimidate the other team....but he was 3rd string and never saw the field.

Ansah is better I think :-)

NFL and taxes - I never knew this
peterpan replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
again, sales taxes are fairer simpler easier and better in every way imaginable. Which is exactly why they will never be implemented. -
They also signed Fitz and Barnett to fairly big deals two years ago, so no again
-
I think everyone is missing the big picture here. Ansah has fallen into our laps and he is a total stud in the making. We have a chance to build a D like the Giants (the one that wins superbowls and that Tom Brady cant beat)

Before someone can catch it, the ball must be thrown....
