For the record -- Manuel's rating today was 105.0

How many of those QBs looked bad/uncomfortable/not like an NFL QB should look (ie, like EJ looks) and then miraculously went on to have a great career? NONE. It doesn't happen. Face it, QBs these days either look the part and produce right away or they flame out very quickly. We cannot give EJ 3 full seasons to prove himself. If we do we are already at the 2016 season. Do you know what 2016 looks like? Fred Jackson is retired. KW might be too. Mario is cut as a cap casualty. Spiller, Darues, and McKelvin have left via free agency, and Kiko and Glenn are both holding out for a new contract. The NFL has changed. No longer do QBs need a 3 year trial run. The college game is more advanced and these QBs can translate to the league much easier. Plus it is so much easier for them to succeed with these new rules. Look around the league. When was the last time a 1st round QB sat and learned as a rookie? Carson Palmer? That was ten years ago! Luck RG3 Cousins Foles Wilson - all from one draft!! They all looked great in their first 2-3 games. Sure they have some ups and downs but they are all setting records!! Cam Newton, Dalton, Kaepernake - hit the ground running. I mean crap - Cam Newton - a run first college QB, threw for over 900 yards in his first two games!!! 900 yards in two games!!!!!! EJ? Not so much. -
How Much is Russ Brandon to Blame for Bills' Current Plight?
peterpan replied to patfitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea, Im not sure how Russ got to be where he is exactly. He went to SJF, and then worked for the Rochester Red Wings for a while, and somehow was running the Bills by like 35. I can't say he has done a great job working for the Bills, but I do think he was behind moving training camp to Fisher, which is likely the lone bright spot in his work history. -
The ILB from Bama is legit.

What are the four weakest starting players?
peterpan replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think our problems come down to two things: 1- QB play 2- Can't stop the run. So that means we need 1- QB 2- Not exactly sure what the problem is, could use another LB and I'm sure getting our DL healthy will help but, I think it is mainly our scheme - play pass first run second. -
Interesting comments from Chris Brown

Great, cut all of the talented selfish guys, like Stevie and Da'Rick, and give me more Johnny Trie-Hards like Hogan. No one is perfect. I will take the selfish me-first players over the ones who wouldn't make 30 other NFL rosters. They are WRs they are supposed to be selfish. Every stud has to be selfish to win. They want the ball and they make big plays. They don't want anyone else getting the ball and I dont blame them. This makes it sound like we would cut Randy Moss and Michael Irvan. -
More of a joke, but why the heck not! He is winning games with Jax.
-
That TE looks a little sluggish to me. But what makes you thin the Bills will draft a TE? We have needed one for 15 years! I do like the idea though.
-
Wilson is a stud. I watched him in college, he was an easy top 5 pick if he was 6'2'' or taller. O well, at least we got TJ Graham?
-
Come on man, Jacksonville isn't as bad as us, They are actualy improving and getting better, two things the Bills just never do. PS: Maybe next year we can get Henne if Jax wants to part with him? I'd take him and Blackmon in a heartbeat
-
There were over 100 TDs scored, not sure of the final number though. EJ is the problem. I guess it is to be expected with a rookie, but it should never be this bad. And with the way the NFL is making it SO SUPER EASY for QBs these days, we shouldn't have to wait for EJ to figure it out. When was the last time a QB 'figured it out' anyways? Most show that they have it in the first couple games and either flame out or its a slow death. Seriously who was the last young QB to start off ****ty then end up being good? I honestly cannot think of a single one right now. PS: Don't lose your faith in Marrone/Hackett untill they have a QB who can actually run their offense. What do you expect the coaches to do when their QB can't hit one of three wide open receivers?

You Asked! DraftTek Consensus Mock Draft CMD 6
peterpan replied to Astrobot's topic in College Football
Id love a QB like Manzel but I'd take a huge WR then a huge TE and get some targets for whoever is tossing the ball around for us. Trading back is always my first choice. -
The NFL has outlawed defense. Simple as that. Get used to it or watch another sport. Sadly, this schity rules are leaching into the college and HS game. That is what really pisses me off. I could care less if the NFL ruins its product, but to ruin all of football, that's blasphemy!!!

Hahaha I forgot that they gave us a 1st and 5. How is that possible after a 10 yard penalty bahaha.

Kiko questionable for Jax -tweaked knee in practice
peterpan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Give him a rest. Jax is gonna push our &&& in anyways. -
Stevie is what, the 3rd, maybe 4th best player on our offense? And 43% of people want him off the team? And we wonder why we haven't made the playoffs since 1999?

If you watch from the 5:24 mark to about the 5:27 mark in that video above, Eric Wood has an obvious hold on the guy from the 30 to the 35 yard line. It was horribly obvious and the right call. Maybe there was one on Woods too that moved it further back? Either way, there was holding on that play. The box score must be wrong. R. Woods is down by the 25 and E. Wood is at the 30-35. How could it be enforced at the 43???? Spiller is already past everyone by the time he gets to the 43. (please keep in mind we were on the long side of the field, not the short) Holding is a spot foul, so it should be enforced from where the flag lands. It looks to me like the flag thrown by the ref just comes up short. Due to the timing of the flag throw, it looked to me like he was throwing it when E. Wood was holding, not R. Woods. I can see how this could be messed up in the box score too lol.

Longest Current Losing Season Streak?
peterpan replied to Boludo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Damn that lone 9-7 season is really coming back to bite us!!! -
Please god yes. Cutler is a stud all he needs is some decent OL play and a legit wide out to go with his gun slinging swag. There has to be a good TE with size we could sign in FA and a WR we could draft go make our O unstoppable with Cutler

Tom Donahoe- was he really that bad???!
peterpan replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I blame Modrak. He was epically bad for a long long time here and ultimately, that was TDs call. -
Preliminary Top 10 excuses for 2014
peterpan replied to billsfan714's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The team that drafts right after us will take Johnny Fball and make the playoffs. I can see it now. -
Would you trade for Nick Foles at this point? I'm just curious because he was drafted in teh 4th round of the same draft and has lit it up this year. If Cousins performs similar, why not give him a try? They both showed us more last year than EJ did before we spent a 1st rounder on him.

Anyone want to discuss the Jags?
peterpan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We should trade for Blackmon if the Jags are willing. -
After watching the WGR 'highlights' what little faith I had left in EJ is now completely gone. Do you guys know how epically easy those reads are? Football is not a very complicated sport. Most of the reads EJ cannot seem to make are High School level stuff. HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL. He is getting WRs open everywhere!!! IF he threw the ball on time - he would avoid the sacks. Obviously the play isnt going to end well if you refuse to throw it to your open recivers. Heck, on some plays he could have thrown it to any number of guys. Then when he does decide to throw it, its either way off target or to the wrong read. F***!!!! And then the miscommunication. Its one thing to have one or two guys run the wrong route, but for most of the team to run block while only the QB and one other WR know its a pass? That is squarely on EJ. Very sad day. Draft another QB.

Jacksonville is about to stomp our schit on Sunday, just fyi. And I assume this thread is sarcasm, right?
